  1. Hi. Thank you for the info. We are learning...And this tool helps a lot.
  2. Final Approach Last 500ft Not Stable: ☛ Vertical Speed beyond Limit:  -339.01 fpm ( Limit: -400 fpm) This is what I get. However, -339 fpm is smaller then -400fpm, then how come the conclusion is "not stable"? Thank you
  3. Hi Dan. Thank you for the reply. Answers to your questions: 1. A/T engaged during landing. 2. Revers thrust do work. I noticed that Spoilers do not deploy during braking (Outside view) but this is probably something else... 3. Yes. Reverse thrust applied, A/C slows down to stop. Then an attempt to taxi will see this problem. 4. Did not try without applying reverse thrust. I will add this to the To Do list for next time... Benny Kupfer
  4. Yes. It is better... I would estimate about 20% from just "scanning" the FR counter. I did a single flight by now. Landed at JFK in a rainy cloudy evening. Rainmaker is outstanding, in the air and on ground while taxing. Don't think twice. Go for the -8. I fell in love with it after a single flight... Benny

    P3Dv4.1 crashing

Yes. It did not go away (I only thought it went away) and still randomly crashing. The funny thing about it that you can finish a long flight w/o incident and the next day it will crash on another flight. BTW, the title of that post is exactly what happens in my system. I also posted over there as Benjamin... After spending hundreds of $$$ on P3d and add-on's of all kinds - I start considering XP11 (he he ... not funny) Thanks Benny K

    P3Dv4.1 crashing

This is not over.... It's their, and in fact - nobody knows why and what to do about that, let alone uninstall and reinstall everything. In the LM P3D forum ( if anybody is interested) please go to: https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6314&t=127661&p=171588#p171588 Thanks Benny K
  7. Hi, Need help with frequent crashes of P3D4. Below are the details of the recent event logs. If anybody can point a direction or otherwise advise it will be greatly appreciated. I can point out that recent additions (addon's) to the P3D installation on my machine are: - DrzewieckiDesignGrass.exe - DD_NY_AIRPORTS_V2_X_KJFK-KLGA-KTEB (By Drzewiecki Design) - DD_NY_AIRPORTS_V2_X_KEWR-KCDW-KLDJ (By Drzewiecki Design) I am not saying that these are the culprits, however, it is possible... Did not get (yet) to the point where I remove those and retest. 8. Got the same issue here also (caution light gets on and stays on) using the default PMDG short turn around panel state. Did not try power down-up sequence to reset this. However, completed a full 8.5 hours flight with this on... with no incident (I know, not in real life...) P3dv4.1 and latest version of QOTSII (8466). Tx Benny K
  9. Downloaded the last EZCA2 version and indeed it solved the problem. Now the A/C can be steered . Did not check nose wheel movement (yet). Tx Benny
  10. Hi, I have the same exact issue with one exception: The steering wheel does not turn at all in an outside view. I would'nt even be close to guessing it is due to EZCA2... We'll test it soon. Tx Benny K
  11. An article in airnation.com. Interesting. https://airnation.com/blog/airplanes/boeing/the-queen-of-the-skies-retires-manila-among-its-regular-destinations-once Benny K
  12. Well, The above from jcomm and pcubine and scandiinavian13 indeed helped and resolved the problem. Thanks a lot. Now I can look outside and see view.... Benny K
  13. OK. As far as I understand this option it should be set ENABLED. Right? Or should it be put to DISABLE? I am a bit confused as to the correct state it should be at. Thanks Benny
  14. Update: Moving AS16 sliders (there are three of those related to turbulence) to zero, helped a lot, but the problem did not go away completely. I would say improved about 80%. Maybe it is the fact that I take off from a high altitude airport, 4200ft)? At the moment I will continue testing in different environment. The PMDG option to minimize controller interference is ENABLED. Thanks benny Kupfer
  15. Dialed down turbulence sliders to 15 actually but it is there with 15, unless not all dials were dialed down.... I am going to test this with even lower scale and see what happens. Thanks Benny Kupfer
  16. Usually after takeoff when you are still relatively slow. A good example is VNKT (Kathmandu) which at this time is mostly rainy and thunderstorms around. In fact I am searching for thunderstorms with AS16 and going there. As long as you are in the storm zone and altitude (so to speak) I get this tripping of autopilot. Indeed I hand fly, however cannot enjoy the view around while doing that.... Thanks Benny
  17. Hi, This is consistent here when I fly in a stormy weather (Thunderstorms in the area) and in general, stormy unstable weather which will bump the airplane. Airspeed becomes really unstable and will jump up and down to the RED scale (airspeed too low) and subsequently the autopilot disconnects. Maybe it is the way it is designed? I am using AS16 + ASCA and scaled down turbulence effects (both cloud and wind) to 15 to try and see what happens. It did not help, and I had to hand fly the A/C until it got out of the stormy area or altitude. also EZCA effects canceled in lieu of the PMDG 744 built in effects. Any ideas? suggestions? Tx Benny
  18. I would think that you need this function to be "ENABLE"d rather then disabled. Indeed , it is not completely clear in the Introduction manual text. When it is Enabled you get 5% of null zone for the controls input (two lines below the subject function in the FMC). If the function is disabled the null zone is disabled (grayed out). Tx Benny
  19. Hi, I have the same issue. The spot in the introduction manual where this is listed is on page 101 and the title is "CTL INPUT WITH AP ON". It says (I am copying) - "This option allows the sim to ignore any hardware connected to the simulator when the AP is on. This is particularly useful if your hardware is prone to send spikes that occasionally disconnect the AP." I am going to try that... Thanks Benny
  20. Hi, The QRH file is secured. Cannot print (If I wanted to the 3 pages of Normal Checklist). Any suggestions? Thanks Benny
  21. Thank you all. I thought this is the case but wanted to make sure. I am running X8 at the most and indeed the sim is pausing from time to time to "catch up scenery textures" as said above. Benny K
  22. Hi, I realized in recent weeks that time compression function in the PMDG 777 (never mind the model) is not doing its job (I.E. - compress the time) when the A/C goes through turbulent air. I am using AS16 and one can see the turbulence level in the map mode of AS16. I am also using EZCA2 and per recommendation of EZCA2 reduced the level of turbulence In AS16 options to 35. Still, time compression stops compressing once in turbulent air. Any ideas? suggestions? Can anybody comment on that and whats behind it? Thanks Benny K
  23. Hi, Just recently purchased a new computer, i7 , SSD and all the goodies. In my old machine I have a 112GB of FSX "material" and I wonder if there is a way to "transfer" all of this to the new computer without too much hassle. I have experimented with this quite a bit by now (just moved the whole thing into the new computer via network in a copy-paste manner) but since then only troubles of different kind are showing up. So, before I go the long way any suggestions that may help? Is creating an image (ACRONIS for example) and spilling everything back into the new one, will do the trick? Thanks Benny
