  1. Hey Bry, can you do me a favour and let me know where your Prepar3D.cfg file is on your PC?, where your aircraft.cfg file is for the plane you use (so the simobjects folder) and can you send me a copy of the Prepar3D.cfg file? Much appreciated.
  2. I do not have a copy of P3D V3 to test unfortunately, I however am updating the V2.0 version of the Duenna to allow V3 access.
  3. I thought you were using P3D Bry? How's that working out for you?
  4. Looks good to me, thats for sure, but then again I was pretty sure AVSIM could support a team for the race this year.
  5. Its that time of the year again and the race is set to begin on or about the 20th of February, I want to gauge the interest in the race from the 3 teams. To that end, does Team AVSIM believe they will be able to participate in this years race and have enough pilots to be able to compete? 10 pilots I believe are the recommended minimum however it has been done with less, its entirely up to you. NOTE: I am not speaking for the race committee, just trying to help wherever I can. Thanks,
  6. ha, guess I forgot to add my part ( Callsign ) epwatson (Eamonn) ( Flightsim version ) FSX Steam Edition (probably, may switch back to boxed edition) ( Experience in Flightsim ) Long long time ago when RTWR was in its infancy. ( Timezone =/- UTC ) UTC -4 (Atlantic Canada)
  7. As far as I know its on this year, I guess it will depend on if Flightsim and Sim-Outhouse have enough for a team. I haven't heard official word from the committee yet however but once the holiday season is over I'm sure those discussions will start up. Also, Prepar3D is allowed to be used as well, just thought I'd add that to your blurb.
  8. Looks like a nice model. External tanks? Curious why they didn't make a P3D version though. lol
  9. Jeff emailed me last night to tell me. I'll try to be on this weekend for this. I haven't actually fired up my flightsim since installing windows 10 so this will be interesting.
  10. Great idea Jeff. I really should join more of these, just never seem to have time.
  11. Roman, I thought you already shared one with Tom, isn't he using it?
  12. So some have asked for some social media presence for the race. I have create a page for it, you can find it here : https://www.facebook.com/FSRTWRACE Feel free to check it out, hopefully I can write something to autoupdate it during the race, we shall see.
  13. No worries Craig, I will let users decide. I'm in the process of rewriting the application following true OOD techniques (and in C# rather than VB) so it might be a bit until I have a version out. Thanks
  14. So I decided to work on some UI updates for the Duenna, I am looking for opinions. Do you love it or hate it? Dark and Light theme shown.
  15. Hey sorry I missed it, been busy this weekend I'm afraid.
  16. I think that would be more of a rules change then a duenna change but I like that idea, save from posting duenna's all the time. Perhaps make it so you have to post your duenna if the online tracking fails or you can't use online tracking or something along those lines.
  17. With the race over with its time to turn to the Duenna and its future. With that, I ask for ideas from the people who use it. What would you like see implemented, what problems do you have with it, what could be better for you or your team? I welcome all ideas as I work to improve this useful tool we've grown to use over the years? You can express your ideas here or at the Duenna 2.0 forums here : http://www.fsrtwrace.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=19 Thanks
  18. So this will be picture heavy. At Bali, waiting for the start of the race, everyone is pumped. Enroute to Australia, was a bit turbulent due to a passing Cyclone. Landed at the 1st airport, my wingman (Jeff) made it there first because I had an FSX crash so I was a couple minutes behind but Jeff's airplane left a crater at the beginning of the runway, but I managed to pull off the landing on that small dirt strip. Longest Wildcard flight to California, sun finally rising. Descending into Oxnard. Because I landed before Dave(StoneCold), I captured his landing over a bunch of extra 300's Some Extra shots from our teamflight. Landing at Van Nuys Getting setup for what could possibly be the hardest flight of the race. We had to get a 737 into Hotan at night. Hotan had no lights, barely any scenery and the airport has very few good navaids and pmdg's database had the airport in the wrong spot (by 1/4 mile) and the approach in its database would land you into a tree, so it was a challenge to say the least. Roman was my wingman, there he is off my left side. There is the runway finally, I needed to have some team members sit on the runway just to see the runway. This was my decision height, if I wasn't positive I'd make it, this was the point of abort. Dave heading out on a CJ leg, flew beside him for a short while. Waiting in China for Dave to arrive on his CJ leg (I jumped ahead), I sat at the end of the runway for some screenshots, it looked however that the wake turbulence from my non-moving airplane flipped him onto the runway and he crashed. :( Some shots of my formation flight with Craig into the penultimate Airport Sibu. It was 1:30am for me for this flight and I was falling asleep at the controls on the way across the ocean on this one. Final flight into Bali, I flew the 777 in my own livery with the team while we flew into some really heavy thunderstorms, my weather radar lit up like a christmas tree at the baton's altitude.
  19. Joseph, much appreciated, Good Luck team Flightsim.
  20. So deciced to fly from this mess of a winter storm here in Moncton all the way to WADD in one flight (WHAT WAS I THINKING?) Anyway it was a good stress test for my PC but I made it safely, long flight though. Green Duenna though. Some photos of the journey
  21. Hey guys, since the new duenna is a requirement for this race, please get it installed and please hammer on it as much as possible. Check your version too, you should be using V2.0.038 R140 which is the most recent version. I need to be sure no-one is going to have severe errors with it prior to racetime. Thanks
  22. Nice flight Roman, i was wondering what the error was but yes looks like your fuel level increased by 680 milligrams when you ran out of fuel. That could just be an FSX thing or the aircraft model playing with the fuel numbers a bit. In any case, if this were to happen in the race I'm sure you could appeal to the exec committee. Glad you landed it though.
  23. Hey guys, Just wanted to let you know that official word from the committee will be delivered at the following link: http://www.fsrtwrace.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=14 You may want to check it from time to time to keep informed.
