I find it very unnatural to have the FO set the frequency directly into the active slot, on the call, vice the preset. I like to keep an orderly progression of frequencies, preset in anticipation, and flip them as required. Any chance this could be changed, or offered as an option? Even if the frequency ended up in the primary/active slot, it should have been loaded in the preset, and then the frequencies flipped. Perhaps a different verbage for that. * Orest

Get a USB headset for sure. That lets you stream JUST the ATC voice to your ears. You do not want all the aircraft sounds in the headset. I have a plantronics USB headset (model no longer made), but there many for not very much. You don't need stereo, just a good noise cancelling mic. The lighter the better. Look for non-occlusive, VOIP/telephone type headsets. * Orest

Change to a VC zoom setting of 1.0, default is 0.6 I believe. You will then likely get the same feel. * Orest

OK, that is what I'm doing wrong. Was using the window "sequence" number from the panel.cfg file, eg. 0 thru 18 or so, not a three digit number. Will have another look. Do you know what the difference between the panel and panel ID toggles is? * Orest

Cool! Gave this a try, panel ID toggle, as well as panel toggle (attached below), with a value set on keypress. Neither appears to do anything. Also tried a value of 2, nothing again. What am I doing wrong? * Orest

John,Well, at the moment, I'm helping with the MCP PRO drivers, that Steve is so generously putting together. It is possible I'll delay getting the CPFlight, but ...Likely I am going to pick up the CPFlight MCP and EFIS real soon. The MCP-EL is out of stock right now, but Claudio said he would confirm when it it back in again. It does look very nice. The danger of course, is that ALL their stuff looks very nice! :( The GF MCP PRO should be easy to sell.Functionally, your setup looks very similar to mine. I use a large central LCD with the TrackIR, and a secondary screen for 2D elements like the CDU. I use a yoke, pedals and TQ though. An MCP sits very nicely on top of the flat topped Saitek yoke.Also, have a second computer networked and WideFS'd in, to provide processing room and more screen real estate. My keyboards are to the side.What is the unit on the left, just beside the keyboard?* Orest
