I think I have to clarify my intention of starting this thread. Basically my impression is that after the new Win7 and FSX Setup on a new rig take-off runs with PMDG 777 seems to last longer until reaching V1 than before. That means it consumes more runway length and the feeling how the aircraft increases speed is different as before. In comparison of avaiable engine power (GE90) it seems to be mismatch. Even I have 80% of MTW or 60-70% MTW. On all airports in all weather conditions. To give some more Information. I use PFPX for planing, TOPCAT for Takeoff calculation, ASN for weather, Aivlasoft EFB for inflight support WOAI for traffic. Btw assumed temp calc is a standard procedure and based on company rules to do or not to do. It can be possible that my Impression is wrong so thank you Andy showing a similar run with compareable values. I will procede some more flights in order to record the time to reach V1. May it give me a better basis to analyze and compare. Thank you for your comments

Yes I did. But I had never again the feeling of more than enough thrust after reinstalling my rick with all the FS stuff. I think derating the engines is a quit normal procedure in order to secure engine long term liability. My example from today with 777F at KJFK shows 98,6% deratet thrust which is not as less to expect to use nearly the hole runway length and even the feeling how the aircraft increases speed on the runway is, let say not to compare with potential engine power.

Gentlemen, I have a question because it might takes to Long until V1 is reached during take-off run. Sometimes I consume nearly the hole runway lenght before reaching V1 (e.g. 77W at Dubai 80% load). How Long do you think or know a take-off run should due with following Parameters? PMDG 777F TOW 313.000 KGS ZFW 236.000 KGS FUEL 77.000 KGS Runway ELV 12' Altimeter 30.23 Derated Thrust 38° C; 98.6% Thrust Procedure Full breaks, increase thrust to 50%; push TOGA wait until 98.6% thrust is reached; breaks off. Ground vehicles on TCAS during apporach
Gentlemen, thank you for your replies. First of all I'm sure its not a PMDG issue. The Problem I have was, that I never expirienced this when running FSX on my old machine. Basically the setup was the same in regards to AI traffic and GSX as well as AES installed. I can't detect if the vehicles are planes or ground vehicles but definetly the signals come from ground as the vertical distance Information for all targets is the same and it is in corelation with the current height of myself. I just now identify boats in the Harbour causing signals. When on Approach to YSSY you fly over the Harbour site. Deactivating this it will eliminate most of the signals on TCAS/ND Display. It seems that it does not matter what Airport. During the last flights i have this issue. But in both cases it was Default scenery. Did disable ground vehicles in FS menue by Setting to 0% ?

Hello, I experienced that during approach ground vehicles are shown on TCAS/ND.(PMDG 777) I know this should not be a PMDG issue alone but maybe there is someone out who has an idea where to adjust or switch it off. Investigations in AVSIM forums did not bring me closer to the problem. Im using WOAI only. Thank you for help. Best regards Andreas Hövel

Uncommanded left turns after take-off 773
Hallo, I expierence an uncommanded but constant left turn direct after take off with 777-300. Autopilot is off, Manual flight, Autothrust active. I have to actively force against with Aileron movement to overcome the left turn. Is this normal? Anyone an idea what is the reason? Thank you in advance for comments. Best Regards Andreas Hövel

Initial Route was EHAM OMDB and EHAM KJFK. Joburg wasn't touched. Best Andreas I try to change the elevation in PFPX manually and see what happen. Best Andreas Change of Elevation in the flightplan works fine. Now FMC load the FP. Thank you for help. Best Andreas

Some additional Information. I meanwhile created a flight from another Origin to OMDB and it works fine. A flight from EHAM to KJFK does not work in the same manner as the flight described but the Error message still says Destination Airport not found Regards Andreas Hövel

Hello Folks, I'm a bit confused having an issue with a flightplan upload into 777 FMC. I created this plan with PFPX and placed it into the specific Folders. When trying to upload it into FMC I got an error message (Invalid entry) and FSX message in the green banner that Destination Airport is not existing. First of all I thought it was an issue with PFPX Flightplan and maybe with the new AIRAC cycle I installed this morning. I created some other Plans and they worked fine. I have no idea why the FMC don't accept this particular FP. Any ideas?? Thank you in advance Best Regards Andreas Hövel

Wind Data Import with T7 FMC
Hi Ryan, I looked to the properties of the file and i unhide the extensions in the windows options. Everything fine. Best Andreas Read carefully what the nice guy will write in the description and you will find out that the .wx file will not have the 01 or whatever addition in the filename. Wind Data Import with T7 FMC
Hello everybody, If tries the first time wind data upload with the T7 FMC. I create the FP with PFPX Export as .rte and .pln. Start AS2012, load the .pln and copy the aloft wind data as decriebed. Create the .wx file with Notepad and stored it on the dicriebed place. Load the route into FMC everything fine. Than go to legs page --> Route data --> LSK 6 --> request. Than "Invalid entry" comes up as message. Does Anybody has an idea what can be wrong? Thank you Regards Andreas Hövel

Max Range differnce 772LR vs 777F
Hello, I looked into specifications of 772LR and 777F. The max Range of 777F is 4.900nm and of 772LR 9.395nm. As I understand both airplanes are more or less the same in weights, engines etc. Why is the max. Range so significant different. Thanks in advance Regards Andreas Hövel

737 NGX and 747-400 in one FSX installation
Hello,are there any recommendations on installing both models in the same FSX installation?The reason why I'm asking is that in my current FSX installation 744 was first and then 737NGX.After months of storing 744 in the virtual Hangar i have some strange behaviourof the 744 like permanently switching of automatic speed controll duringVNAV operations and in inbetween some minutes the thrust goes to idleand comes back after some seconds.So i suppose maybe some interactions. Real 747 Pilot uses PMDG
He guys,just a short comment from my side.I have done 2 hours on a full flight sim at Lufthansa in FFM. After many ours with PMDG 744 i can sayi was absolutly familar with all systems on that great airliner. It was no prob to operate the 744 fromcold and dark at departure airport to shutdown on destination. Everything works as expected and simulatedwithin PMDG 744. In touch with original controlls and stearing tiller i must say something is easier in the real one.You can imagine that the instructor has some question marks in his eyes. He was former 742Pilot and hadn't an idea how automatic flight works on a 744.The only challange is to fly manual and keep everything under control. But this is a different story.For me PMDG 744 is quit close to reality and represents what's finaly possible on PC based simulation.RegardsAndreas Hövel

737-600/700 VC Problem
Hello,i have FS9 and PMDG products reinstalled after setup computer with new OP-system. I followed the instructions1. 737-6/7 2. 737-8/9 3. 744 full package. After realising that Win7 ultimate have some interesstingfeatures like UAC i'am now comfortable with the overall results. But, 737-6/7 coming up with there old VC andthere where not updated by the 737-8/9 package. I tried to overwrite again with 737-8/9 installer but nothingchanges.Any ideas?Thank you.RegardsAndreas Hövel

In the meantimeI fly with Level-D 767 witch is also an incredible Aircraft.One of the most important things I love with the 767 is that I cansave a Flight and all Data were keept.
