  1. I am thinking of purchasing the Orbx tree package. I have space issues on my hard drive, so was wondering if this package completely replaces the default trees, or if it makes two tree databases, one Orbx and one default. How much space does this package take?
  2. I uninstalled SP2 and then installed Acceleration. It didn't corrupt anything. Installed the Superbug with TacPack without a hitch. Thanks for all your help!
  3. Ok, Burt, so you are saying uninstall SP2, then install Acceleration, and it should not mess up any scenery or addon aircraft?
  4. Ok, so I can't use any pay ware carriers without Acceleration package? And if I install the Acceleration package, will it mess up my scenery and addons?
  5. I currently own FSX Deluxe and have added SP1 and SP2. I usually fly civil aircraft and belong to several VA's. I have e ton of add on aircraft and scenery, along with ASN. Recently, I saw the VRS F18 Superbug and it intrigued me. I am thinking of joining a virtual navy organization with that aircraft. I want to be able to take off and land on carriers and do carrier ops. I saw on one of the military VA sites that you need FSX Acceleration to do this. My question is, can you do it without the Acceleration pack? I don't want to risk messing up my current installation, and definitely don' t want to have to start from scratch and reload everything. If I can't use default or AI carriers without the Acceleration pack, are there any pay ware carriers that would work without it? Can anyone help?
  6. If you turn that switch on, will it keep the batteries charged while doing the preflight checklists, or will the batteries die during the prescribed FSX battery drain time?
  7. How do you get external power in this aircraft? I click on the "external power" switch in the cockpit, and check the meter above in ext pwr position, and nothing.
  8. Are there any click spots in the VC to open the pop up CDU's? I know you can open them with key commands, but that always crashes FSX to desktop for me. I need this function so I can load the cards. Otherwise, I have to go to the 2D panel just to do that. Thanks.
  9. Thx for the reply, Dillon. How about system realism? For instance, if you don't press the auto spoiler arm switches on the overhead panel, do the spoilers still deploy? Do the fuel pump cross feed switches work like on Matthias's panel? I am addicted to system realism.
  10. How does this pay ware compare with Matthias Liebrecht's panels and Murchison's freeware aircraft? I know they don't have a VCR, but they were great otherwise, especially if you integrated the ISG gauges into them. If this pay ware is not significantly better, not sure I want to part with my money for it. Anyone have both and how do they compare?
  11. I currently have the 737NGX for FSX. I also have all of the PMDG aircraft for FS9. I was thinking of purchasing the MD11 for FSX as well, but am wondering if it will mess up the NGX installation, as I know in FS9 you needed to install the aircraft in a certain order. Is that true of FSX, and do I need to uninstall the NGX, install the MD11, and then reinstall the NGX, or can I leave the NGX as is, and just install the MD11? Hope this made sense. :(
  12. Does the NGX have callouts on takeoff (80 kts, V1 and rotate)? I flew my first flight with her, and I didn't hear them. Great aircraft, by the way!
  13. Is it possible to use the same microphone for FS2Crew as you are using to talk to ATC on VATSIM, or will talking on VATSIM somehow interfere with FS2Crew?
