  1. Great job! :)If you haven't, you may want to remove the mip maps as well.
  2. I'd use a combination of the Magic Wand (W) and the Smudge Tool ® to remove the white. Have you put the logos on their own layers?
  3. Alternatively you can just add a layer over the top, add the colour and change the mode to "Multiply".
  4. It shouldn't really make much of a difference, although anything that should be white on the template will go invisible. You could always merge the paint schemes before setting to multiply, thats what I tend to do. Just keep a copy of the separate layers in a folder. :)
  5. It can be a bit tricky, essentially what you're looking at doing is using that psd for all 4 bmps. You could either create the paint scheme on the psd then transfer all the layers over to the 4 bmps. You'll need to create a "reference" layer so you can re-align the paint scheme.Alternatively you can put the 4 bmps on to the psd and use them as a guide to crop the psd for each bmp.
  6. My method was confirming he hasn't got any missing bmps. If he hasn't, then it would mean that the bmps he does have obviously aren't working correctly :)If you're wanting to replace the files from the original zip then you would be looking to overwrite.
  7. Could be due to file format or you may not be adding mip maps to the bmp.Things have changed a little with FSX textures! :)
  8. It looks like "PMDG_747_Det1_T.bmp" has a wheel on it. You should be able to just copy it over. Copy and paste all the bmps from a correctly working repaint and paste them in to the culprit, say no to overwriting any files.
  9. Heres a direct link to The Complete Repaint Walkthrough: hereFeel free to join us in the Repaint forum as mentioned above! :)
  10. I just had a go with the filter. It worked ok but it had to be pretty much pure white for the filter to remove it. For the rest it bascially reduced the opacity. The problem is on nearly all FS flattened paint kits the fuselages aren't pure white. It's still useful to have it in the toolbox though :)
  11. Hi Chris :)Set the red/paint schemes layer mode to "multiply". This should retain the colour but allow the underlying rivets to show through :)
  12. You should just be able to select the aircraft from the left pane and expand the selection. Thn just select the paint scheme from the list.
  13. Could you post a picture?Make sure the alpha channels are the same strength, this can effect how the colours look.
  14. Looks great Leen! :)I've got that model, the only thing I don't like about it is the rolling wheel animation.. have they got an update for it?
  15. Hi everyone, just a quick update to let you all know the fuselage weathering section is up on The Complete Repaint Walkthrough. This is probably the last big update so hopefully theres light at the end of the tunnel :)You can get to it by clicking the link above my signature. As usual, any feedback / corrections feel free to shoot me an email :)
  16. Hey Leen :) I do agree it needs rewording and the addition of the Mips issue, its been soo long ago since I've done that I can't even remember typing it! I'll add it to the things I need to change when I "filter" the walkthrough, if you or anyone spots any other things feel free to point them out :)I'm also going to add a section about properly converting it in Part 4 "Final check flight" after the proper alpha channel is made.
  17. Are you talking about the Complete Repaint Walkthrough section on getting the scheme in to flight sim or the stand alone "Converting bmps" one?On a side note, I've actually completed all the images (and the scheme) for the Complete Repaint Walkthrough.. just trying to get the time to finish typing up the final bits :)
  18. Hey Matt :)Theres 2 things you could do. You can crop the fuselage psd for each psd.. this however can be a bit tricky, use the _1, _2 and _3 and put them on the fuselage.psd as a reference on where to crop.A better idea is to complete your repaint on the fuselage psd then drag over all the layers on to each of the 3 ready for saving. I believe most people do this and is the idea behind having a psd like this.
  19. I believe FSPaint and FSRepaint are one and the same from searching it on google, the correct name however is FSRepaint.
