  1. The throttles are by ThrottleTek. They are amazing, but cost $1500 and come from Central America.
  2. Anyway, I really just wanted to report that the new PMDG 747 with P3D and add-on airports,, ORBX, Active Sky2016, GSX etc is very smooth (>> 30 fps) with a 7700K OC to 5 GHz and a 40" UHDTV and graphics maxed out. My old computer with 990x CPU and dual 590 GTX cards would crash with graphics 1/2 way up and get 10 fps.
  3. Well just a few thoughts on my post. 1. No way do I want to build my own machine. As a rich 52 year old guy and a cancer survivor, I find time is precious, not money. My 4 year old computer finally crashed due to multiple hardware issues - so I took a big leap with unknown P3D and wanted someone to do a custom set up. I loved that Jetline built a computer that was fully loaded with all my add-ons and configured it perfectly. They even added my liveries - yeah I know it takes 30 seconds to do so. All I had to do was plug in the Throttletek Throttles and set them up. I was flying the latest 747, 737 and 737 in no time. Yes, with a Master's degree in Engineering, I can easily assembly a computer. But with golf season approaching and hours needed at the range, tuning by new Charger Hellcat 707 HP engine to 800 HP, my daughter who needs help with chemistry and Trig, running my business and making wifey happy, my time is limited. The Jetline sim cost $4000 delivered. I figured parts cost $3,200 - the Titan X card was $1200 alone. I have a 1 TB SSD, and they made a complete back up on a separate drive. Plus they OC'd the damn CPU to 5-5.1 GHz and optimized all the settings for max performance. So the extra $800 was well spent in my book. Heck, I spend $1,200 every time I use the full motion sim in Miami. BTW, I am planning another sim trip to Miami and want to do the 777 again. If anyone wants to join me, let me know. I'll do 2 hours in the left seat, and then we swap seats and you do 2 hours flying in left seat. I'll do a separate post later on this. Anyway thanks for the comments - very interesting - and I do respect all of you. I can count on this message board to solve many problems and I thank you all.
  4. Maybe since I shot the tv with an I-phone 5 that you see shutters on a replay. But when I am flying it it sooo smooth and crystal clear
  5. I think the titan x may out perform the 1080 ti. So no regrets here. The visuals with the uhdtv are stunning. My reason for posting this is just to show that a real high end system can handle the new pmdg 747 with absolutely no issues and excellent frame rates - even with serious add on sceneries. So there is hope out there for a painless flight sim experience. My last 4 year old computer crashed daily so I had to upgrade
  6. Here is a short video (shot from i-phone5) of my new Jetline Sim computer. Jetline did the build and installed P3D, all the PMDG Boeings, all FlyTampa airports in US GSX, a slew of FSDT airports, FSUIPC, V-pilot Active Sky 2016, ORBX, They did all the configurations and OC'd it to 5 GHz. These guys are experts in Flight Simulaton and surely know how to build computers that are optimized for FSX and P3D. Specs: Intel 7700K, Titan X Pascal card, 32 GB ram, MSI 270 board. I added a 40" UHDTV as main monitor. All settings pretty maxed out. Graphics are stuning - crisp and clear. I am getting 35 fps with PMDG planes at FlyTampa airoprts and NYC area, and >50 fps at other areas. New 747 looks great.
  7. I got to try the 747 for the first time today using a 7700k, Titan X Pascal and a 40" UHDTV. Making the jump from the 777 to the 747 was easy and the plane handles real well. I think that it it for add on planes for a while (737, 747 and 777).
  8. You my friend are a lifesaver. That worked. I was so upset all night and couldn't sleep over this, I can't thank you enough for the guidance you gave me. Thank you so much Paul
  9. Sorry to bother you, but nothing was found by typing %appdata% I wish I knew the path.
  10. I think your response is the best one in getting my GSX back.  All the FSDreamteam airports have no scenery in them now.  They were completely wiped out when I hit disable addon.  I am a bit freaked out now that I corrupted a 2 hour old $4500 PC that was custom built and loaded on with all the scenery by Jetline Sim.

I am not familiar with Windows 10 and need guidance in finding that %APPDATATA% reference.

    Much appreciated.

  11. OK I think Cmpbell has the correct fix here. I need help in finding %APPDATATA%\Virtuali\Couatladdons.ini Please give detail way to find this. I did get a notice after I restarted p3d saying a change in Couatladdons occurred. How do I find Couatladdons in p3d or in windows 10? Please give step by step as I am not familiar with Windows 10 yet. Much appreciated.
  12. I just took delivery of my new Jetline Sim computer - It was fully loaded with addons airports and GSX. I was at JFK and running GSX. GSX was doing fine, but it was taking too long to load my 747. So I hit "DISABLE ADDON" thinking it would terminate GSX, well it complexly removed it from my menus. Also gone is all the addon scenery. What now?
  13. I actually flew to Florida to see my completed computer. The FPS I reported was at their facility on my new computer. Yeah, these guys at Jetline Sim really know how to build high end machines and optimize it for flight sim. I was very impressed with them. They loaded all the software,add-ons etc. I think I spent $600 in add-ons to buy and for them to it load up for me (including P3D and all the PMDG Boeings). The computer should arrive tomorrow and I can't wait to hook up a 40" UHDTV to it. They were at the FS Convention event in Conn. last summer, along with some old PMDG guest speaker who I can't remember his name.
  14. I finally tested out my new computer with P3D and the new 747. Jetline Simulations in Florida did the build and installed the software. Specs are: Intel 7700K cpu OC 5 Ghz (water cooled) one 12 GB Titan X Pascal Card. MSI 270 MB 32 GB ram I have P3D installed, ORBX, several FlyTampa airports, some Flightbeam airports, GSX, FSUIPC, Active Sky 2016. At the FlyTampa KTPA airport I was getting 55 fps on the runway with the 747 cockpit view. ( I need to report the exact settings as this makes a difference as we know). I am very happy with the results. My 4 year old computer with an Intel 990X with GeForce 590 card is getting 15 fps - 20 at default airports I am hooking it up to a 40" UHDTV this week and would like to make a video to post on Youtube. I can't find the software that say Froogle uses to make the videos. FS Recorder is not P3D compatible. Any recommendations for a video software?
  15. Kyle: don't see the answer in the link you sent above. If P3D comes out with a 64 Bit version, will current P3D planes and scenery work? Or will developers need to create planes and scenery for a 64 bit platform?
  16. If I hae the latest P3D and P3D does come out with a 64 version. Would I need to re-purchase the PMDG products again. Is a 32 bit 747 the same as a 64 bit version as far as PMDG goes? I just bought a new computer and have spent $600 in software so far (P3D, pmdg 747. 737. 777. Orbx. All fly Tampa airports flight beam airports. Etc. I hope the 32 to 64 is just an upgrade and not a new install with all software needing to be purchased
  17. What kind of frame rates are you getting? Does a 40" UHDTV kil frame rates on a high end computer?? I am looking to buy a 40" UHD TV. I have the new 7700K CPU OC to 5 Ghz and a Titan X Pascal card. I see a Samsung 40" UHD TV for $449 and a newer model for $549. The newer one has High Dynanmic Range which they claim gives brighter colors. Will it make a difference in P3D?
  18. Since we are on the topic of trim, is it me? but I can't trim the plane in a turn. The blue tick mark will not move when in a decent banked turn. I need to level off before the "blue tickey thingy" moves
  19. Kyle: So if I have GSX installed along with P3D V3.4 and the new 747, will the GSX ground vehicles still work? (as long as I don't request the PMDG ground Vehicles? I don't have GSX now, if I add it, can I shut it off for the 747 and activate it for the 777 and 737?
  20. I have the 777 on FSX with a ton of addons. Since FSX crashed, I loaded P3D and the 777. I have no addons for the P3D yet as I am having a new computer built with a 7700K and Titan X card. I will load P3D with the pmdg 737, 747, 777 and every addon scenery in the USA I can find. Hopefully this computer on a 4K monitor will impress me over my old FSX computer. it is a $5000 experiment.
  21. I went to Bestbuy and measured some 43"4K uhdtvs. They are 22" high. My eve level is 19" above my desk. So if I sit the tv right on the desk, I should be good.
  22. A lower desk is not feasible because my yoke mounts to the desk. I may look into 36" instead??
  23. I am getting a new computer with a 7700k CPU and a Titan X Pascal Card. I wanted to run a 4K TV as my main monitor. I was thinking of 42". My question is if I put a 42" monitor on my desk, then the top of the TV is a foot over my head. Assume I use the standard view of top 1/2 is looking out cockpit, and bottom 1/2 is my instruments, I will be looking up to see where I am going. Is that good?? Is 42" too big? What is the perfect monitor size?
