Hi Guys, Am assigning switches for my engine start levers via the custom event id SKD, and have a problem with the left start lever. Have assigned the correct Event ID (70320) with the equivalent parameters, but it refuses to operate. I can hear a click sound when i operate the switch, but the actual lever does not actuate. Have no problem with the right start lever, as it operates as it should. Cheers.

As an aside to the original post, I am considering going back to PMDG, and am seriously thinking about the 737-800 NGX, and I have a question regarding updates. If I purchase it through download and through PMDG, will it have the latest update incorporated ? Thanks, N Ward

Saitek throttles out of stock everywhere?

Have had one on order from PC Aviator now for 6 months, received an e-mail from them the other day saying that they should be available in August. Have just managed to buy one privately for a very reasonable price, at well below the retail cost. So they have lost another customer. Pathetic service!!!. Have never had a problem with any of my other Saitek gear, so far. -

Hi Guys, I am considering purchasing the above when it becomes available, but I have a question to ask before I do. Will I be able to use FSUIPC and FSX Option & Settings, so that I can add my own switches etc, through macros, to my cockpit. I am having a similar problem with regard fitting black knobs to my Saitek throttle. I have a single throttle at present, but need another one, when they finally get back on to the market ???, as I've just recently purchased the Flight1 Dash8 Q 400, and the Flight1 King Air B200, both being turbo props. I have tried making knobs using 25mm OD plastic PVC pipe, but its a real pain filing the slots. So, having a GoFlight throttle, which I no longer use, I thought why not use the knobs off that. They have a side slot and are screwed onto the lever, and luckily the slot is just wider enough to fit the Saitek ones. So all I have to do is drill a hole in the Saitek lever and screw the knobs on. They are all white so they just need a spray of black paint. Job done.

Hi Claude, Sorry for the late reply, and thanks for the info. Strange as it may seem, I did exactly that, after I posted my query, because I was also unable to access the load manager. On looking at the PMDG FAQ's, that was what they recommended. It fixed the load manager problem as well as the localiser problem. Thanks, Neil

Hi Guys, My 737NG seems to be incapable of tracking the localiser whilst performing an ILS. It holds the glideslope perfectly. It seems to follow an offset track of about 3 or 4 degrees, and touches down on the grass. Have tried different airports with the same result. Have also tried the same approaches with the default 737 & 172, with perfect results. Its really got me flumoxed!. Some times I get the yellow "single channel" on the PFD, and other times, not. Have tried both A/Ps for dual channel, but I have never seen it work. I also seem to have lost the flaps up indicator numbers on the speed tape. I have also been getting the A/P disengaging, sometimes only once and other times just continually, so I have to terminate the flight. There is obviously a problem somewhere, but its beyond me. Have been thinking about uninstalling and reinstall, but I would rather not unless I really have to. ( Using FS9 on Wind XP) Any ideas ? Cheers, Neil

Hi Ryan, Thanks for the reply, yes I guess it is pretty expensive for what you get. I will probably build my own anyway. I have a couple of Leo Bodnars I/O cards, so it should be pretty simple utilising FSUIPC.Cheers,Neil

Hi Guys, I wish to purchase a multi engine start module from Go Flight. Can anyone verify that this module is compatible with the 737NG. I seem to recall somewhere, that there was a problem with it. Hi, I cant find the answer to this query in any of the posts. Could someone please tell me exactly where to install navdata, for use by the FMS.When I hit the install exe. from the zip file, it automatically selects Microsoft Games/ Flight Simulator/ 2004. This is obviously incorrect, as my FMS is never updated. I have read all the manuals, and the subject isnt mentioned. Would be grateful for an answer.Cheers,Neil

Hi Guys, I have 2 problems, which have recently started. For some reason, when attempting an ils approach, the aircraft will not hold the localiser course. It just will not line up with the runway. The glideslope works correctly. The localiser frequency and heading are as the published approach. Have tried out many different airports with the same result.The other prob. is the the load manager has ceased to work. The only thing that is changeable is the fuel weight, and the top section, for indicating which sort of passenger layout is required.I have uninstalled and reinstalled with no change in behaviour. Am using FS 2004 and Windows XPCheers,Neil

Thanks for all your replies, it looks like there is hope on the horizon. I normally use the PMDG FMC for planning, and I have all the updated DAPS, and HI/LO charts, so there isnt a problem with regard to lat/long. positions.Its just that sometimes I like to use a non FMC aircraft, and find the FS9 planner outdated.Thanks again.Neil

Hi Guys, Dont know if this question has been asked before, or if it is even possible to do.Is it possible to add waypoints to the generic flight planner. Here in Australia,a lot of the old waypoints have been changed and new ones added, particularily for SID/STARS.As I am not very computer savvy, could an explanation be explained in more simple terms, (if there is one)Thanks,Neil

Hi Guys, Have just bought the GOflight MCP Pro, and am trying to get the interface and licence via the PMDG shop. Everytime I try to add the interface to the cart, I keep getting a message saying " This product cannot be added to the cart. Your MCP serial No is a required option"I have run the checker and I know what the serial number is, but I cant find a way to enter it anywhere. Help would be appreciated .Cheers,Neil

Hi all, I have a problem with the overhead panel switcher. When I press the "O" the panel pops up okay, but I cant get it to disappear again. All the other panels operate correctly. This has been going on for quite awhile now. Ay help would be appreciated.Cheers,Neil

Have only recently bought the MAAM DC3 and am very impressed, its a real beauty to fly. I have a few queries though.Is this aircraft capable of following a VOR radial when in autopilot, and if so, how is it set up?, Can you set up an approach for an ILS ?, and what is a realistic altitude or flight level to use. I note that it is fitted with blowers,so I presume this is for pressurisation.Cheers,Neil

Havent had the above for long, but I have a few questions to ask.1: On an ILS approach,I get no marker beacon indication, either visually or in audio.2: When I tune into an NDB station I cant hear the morse identifier.3: On the Standby RMI, the right hand switch does not turn, even though the manual indicates that it does.Would appreciate some answers to the above, if possible.Cheers,Freo
