  1. version 1.02 is out Changelog: • Drastically reduced draw calls by 60% for better optimization • Enhanced PBR reflections across all airport surfaces and ground polygons without impacting performance • Updated road line materials to react realistically to night lighting • Improved texture resolution for the "Republic Services bin" object • Enhanced detailing on cargo dolly vehicles • Improved ground texture definition around the control tower zone • Fixed visual issues with upscaled interior banner textures • Fixed flickering decals
  2. "...-Forgot the little triangular gate number signs on top of the jetways like the airport has in real life." Even the base scenery has them. I find this important oversight its much harder to find your gate without them
  3. new version of mod released that accounts for the May FT update

  5. real shame, lots of hype on the scenery but same old stuff. Really shocking that NYC is so out of date, I would have hoped to see some of the hype photogrammetry or even lidar stuff.
  6. I find the ability to see every star at night excessive more so in urban centers, I guess they did not apply the candlelight formulas to stars....
  7. yes it can run 7860x2160 but the perspective in cockpit does not look right towards the corners. MSFS 2020 is not built for this type of monitor. 4090 struggles with it too.
  8. On the subject of MSFS 2024 and ray tracing take a look at this video of Asobo's A Plgue Tale Requiem which I believe uses the same engine for MSFS 2020 and its updated 2024. You can see the improved Ray Tracing Shadows but also the GPU impact in FPS whcih is significant, on a RTX 2060 Super.
  9. everything is a trade off, FB wins in my opinion due to excellent 4k textures, superior ground texture and focus on what you see from the cockpit and smooth performance. I do expect FB to fix some issues like Jetway's not level with floor on E and D gates. I wish BMW - AMSIM would invest in keeping other sceneries updated like KMIA which seems to be abandoned. Yet it seems its focused on taking on FB were they have competition.
  10. Hi, does NGX work using the LM Perpard3d platform? If not any plans? Thanks

Footprint is an issue but not as critical in todays systems, after 10 years experience in the security business you have to go with a Antivirus program that is proactive at stopping threats before they get to you. For this the absolute clear winner is McAfee's corportate version with its built in HIPS - host intrusion prevention technology, the consumer version is not bad either. Simply put it will proactively stop buffer overflow attacks without new signatures while the rest of the AV gang rush to get new signatures to you. Nice thing about the corporate edition is that you can exclude trusted processes from scans like FS.exe!!!
