  1. Martin, Its still set to . as the brake action which works fine. Its just when I use the trigger on the X52 it sticks on Karl
  2. Can anyone tell me why when I brake using the X52 the brakes just stick on and I have to double tap the trigger to release them. Right pain in the a@$e when you just come to a dead stop when all you need to do is slow down a bit. Cheers Karl
  3. Boys and Girls, After a little help please. I have a Saitek X52 pro but seem to have a little braking issue. My brakes run through the trigger yet when I release the trigger the brakes stay on unless I double tap it to release them. Whilst its not the biggest issue in the world I do find it a tad annoying, after all you kind of expect the brakes to release when you take the pressure off. Many thanks Karl
  4. Boys and Girls, Let me start by saying that I am a complete technophobe and my limit in doing computer "stuff" is limited to changing my RAM or operating system. Anyway that aside I have been lucky enough to order a new rig which I'm hoping is going be first rate at running FSX and in due course P3D. The spec I have ordered is ; Cooler Master Cosmos SE Case, i7 4790k - overclocked , Corsair Hydro H100 , NVidia GTX980, Corsair DDR3 2133MHz 16GB RAM; Asus Maximus VII Ranger mobo; Crucial M500 480gb SSD; Barracuda 2TB HDD, FSP 850W modular power supply, SoundBlaster Zx sound card all running on W7 ultimate. Now the big question I have is what drive should I put FSX on. The OS will be on the SSD but should I put FSX on there as well. On my current system the FSX file shows as being just over 56Gb in size - I assume this includes all the add-ons as well. And leading on from that I assume I would be able to fit P3D on their as well or would I be best putting that on the second drive ? I apologise if this is something that has been asked before but having twin girls running around means I don't have the time to sit doing searches and thought I would put it out to you guys who have much better knowledge than me. Thanks in advance Karl
  5. At the risk of being shot down in flames as well, I can see what you mean. Maybe it is just the angle but there is something A330/340 about the nose/windshield.Karl
  6. Now I have always been biased towards Boeing and always will be. My first flight was a 737-200 back in the 70's and since then have always had a soft spot for her. I think I've flown every model of Boeing jet and in the past 6 years almost every flight has been a 777, with the odd 330 and 340 thrown in. However I have flown the A380 twice now, both times with Emirates and luckily enough in F. I'm not one to sing the praises of Airbus and have had some rather unpleasant flights on the 340, but I have to say the 380 is something else, it is one outstanding plane. It's quietness and comfort is superb and (from some angles) can be a somewhat pretty plane, albeit the best looking widebodies will always be the T7 and L-1011 !!!Karl

  8. I think that half the trouble here is that non-one knows, and as a result of the lack of anything from AS rumours will emerge and will grow. Who knows maybe some of them are right. The fact is that the lack of any decent responses has led to this. And when "facts" did emerge there was never really any true answers from them just riddles or a complete lack of anything. I can't comment on what goes on in the tech forum but you would hope that they would do something to encourage potential buyers to hang around or have some faith that there will be a decent end product. I would have dearly loved to have had this product but am so glad I didn't !!Karl
  9. Hi,I suspect, having a very suspicious mind, that removing all the other posts will help with their sales. It is a well known fact that they are/were in a financial crisis and to keep from going under need all the cash they can get their tainted little hands on. It would be my guess that most people going onto that site with the intention of making a purchase would run a mile when they see what has been written. Strangely enough I had just made comment about how a group in the UK "gamersvoice.org.uk" were in the process of taking legal action against the developers of COD black ops and had reported them to the office of fair trading. Maybe they didn't want any of their customers getting ideas ????????As you rightly say their reputation, if you can call it that, is in tatters and most likelu unrecoverable. Unfortunately they only have themselves to blame. If only they had actually bothered with some customer service and/or used someone as a vocal point whose primary concern was not deleting posts. A little bit of honesty instead of hiding behind riddles and lies may have kept some of the support.Karl
  10. Oh that made me laugh. But you have got a very valid point. We don't expect every person you deal with in retail to have such experience but I doubt that any of them could be quite as obtuse as he is, and in general such people tend to give a good service as they care about having a job and what they do. And in most cases, speaking from personal experience, if you get it wrong just admit it and say sorry. 99% of the time you will be forgiven and will actually get far more respect for your honesty.RegardsKarl
  11. Sorry Old Chap but I don't think they are being harsh on him. From all that I have seen over on the AS forum and how he has treated people I think he only has himslef to blame. If there had been just a shred of honesty and a little humility, peoples reaction to Ryan may have been somewhat different. I doubt he would ever treat people face to face they way he does hiding behind an electronic wall. To be fair to him though I don't think he has any business of customer management experience which may explain alot. The fact is, no matter how much they deny it, their reputation is unrecoverable and they only have themsevles to blame. It is one thing keeping quiet on release dates etc as the majority of developers do, but their downright arrogance in how they operate is simply astounding. RegardsKarl
  12. Either Ryan and the rest of the AS team have skin so thick that nothing can penetrate it or they are just downright rude and ignorant. I doubt they have any morals from how they have treated both their customers and followers. Even now they point blank refuse to answer questions, ignore any requests for honesty and think that putting out another update without so much as a "sorry it took so long" will restore their reputation. I don't think so. Oh but of course - deleting all the posts will make it all go away !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!At least they can't do it hereKarl
  13. I'm split on my decisionFor commercial I have always had a soft spot for the 737-200 as it was the first jet I ever flew on followed by the L-1011 Tristar which is just such a majestic bird but having flown on the 777 so may times I always get excited when I board one - and those GE-90's are awesomeFor military it's an even draw between the mighty English Electric Lighting and the F-14.Karl
  14. Hi Bruno,You're quite right and I hang my head in shame :( However it was deliberate for the only reason that Concorde really is in a league of its own and can't really be compared to anything else out there.I had heard in the past that certain design items had been "borrowed" by the French for the Caravelle but never any specifics, now that you've pointed it out it looks kinda obvious. RegardsKarl
