  1. Señor Capitán:Thank you for this wonderful aircraft. I flew on them many times. From Guatemala City to New Orleans for all my grammar and high school years!!!! starting in 1954, PAA was the carrier. At the time It was a Love- hated relationship for it was my transportation to a bordering school!!!! not great fun. I think it cruised the Gulf of Mexico at around eight thousand feet and man the ride was bumpy, ups and downs galore.....:):) :(....the brown bags sure were a needed artifact!!!!!, poor those guys that had to clean the plane after a turbulent flight!!!!.....But I must say my love for the plane surged over the hate part....I have almost all DC-6s that have been made freeware for FS9 and FSX and constantly fly the ladies, all models. So, congratulations for your thoughts that brought you to having this most famous aircraft developed. I will check here constantly and hope you shoot it out of the manufacturing plant Fast!!!!!!....I will start making, tonight, a few Missions for it and obviously some Adventure Flights too....I have seen one or two landing in MPTO still, Latin American Airlines and many Freight lines used this baby for ages!!!! you can see some skeletons of it in many airports down south today.Gera
  2. Forget it there is no unity, just read around and you´ll see some half simers writting hopfull notes to Santa MS$.....they still don´t get it. Without world coverage and an SDK, even for a price, the thing won´t fly for real simers.......keep your cool, there are two very "new" sims on the way and look all we can still do with FSX for years to come. :)
  3. " How can you miss what you never had??"....
  4. Friend Spirit....I am not putting anyone down, no sir!!!, Some people like PC Games, great for them, some like many of us like a Game-Sim that reacts as best as it can like a real aircraft. But amigo, you must see or understand that the virtue of the MS Game-Sim family up to FSX was due to a complete Open SDK, otherwise you would have had, if ever, after FS98 just a boring game. I have been fooling with computer science since I graduated back in 1969 and I can assure you my career has made me keep up to innovation in order to survive, so I appreciate new ideas and approaches in my field, since it has fed me since then. I can see some new stuff in the Flight Game, who can´t, but without outside development with the SDK you will restrict to what a few can do. Now if MS unwraps in the next few weeks or months the Flight SDK and makes it available to outside developers, even at a reasonable price, then and only then the great advantages of so many talented developers thought the world will am sure change the Flight Game to a Flight-game-Sim which would get the support of the incredible nice people that call themselves flight simmers. Otherwise, to us, its just a Game...I sure play Games with my grandsons all the time, they give me a link with them which I enjoy very much. I particularly like how those kids beat the hell out of me in one called Dirt II, its amazing!!!!....Oh, I am not a Payware developer, I am a not too good freeware one which enjoys making my own scenery and sharing them with other simers, in Nepal, India, Brazil and all over the world, a few Missions and a lot of interesting flights for those who like difficult navigation challenges. I hope to finish a nice working home made cockpit this year too....love aviation. I will end this discussion with this and please be sure I hope you enjoy the Game Flight very much, I will join you in it once it turns into a Game-Sim if you care to call it that, so sim hobbyist like me can relate to it fully like we have for so many yeas with the FS Sim Family since old 98. (do excuse my English Grammar).
  5. By your posts I see you are a Happy Gamer...Good for you, enjoy Flight....but trying to convince The Sim hobby community to fly in order to get coins and fly through hoops is fooling yourself. Games like Fuel, Dirt, Dirt II have great graphics, beautiful skies, fiction weather and a fantastic dynamic engine so why would Flight the game not have them too. You´ll notice that these games all are restricted to a fairly small location of geography to obtain many of the features. My grandson loves them, he is six and quite a hot shot driver....as you have noticed (?) most Simers are guys who love aviation one way or another and treat their Game-Sim as a hobby for thanks to great addons the sensation of flying is the best around the PC world. Real weather engines have evolved to the point that very good simulation is available. Fantastic airports from all over the world have been created and Mesh has made available great scenery of the Alps and other mountain ranges. Those special places, unique to some, are available by the thousands by developers that do it for love and fun placing them as freeware for all to enjoy if they so desire. Payware has given the Simer great AI aircraft and you will find airports with the traffic the real ones have. If you like naval aviation there are many freeware and Payware aircraft carriers where you can practice landings, aircraft of all types and flavors and great unique scenery of the whole planet....I could tell you more of what the hobby can provide thanks to many people, did you know there are people with very exact 737 home cockpits???...Really, I hope you enjoy very much the new Game M$ has given all you gamers....we simers have already what we need to persue our hobby.Regards.
  6. I predict that within a Year this closed game for outside add ons both freeware and payware will be one of so many MS forgotten games of the past. The only "game-Sim" that has lasted decades have been the Flight Sim family....can you remember one more?..Yes!!! good old "Train Simulator" which today thanks only to outside developers still sells!!! but the bean counters in MS thought they would kill it by cancelling TS-2....nasty people, they taught they would place many outside developers out of business...that was mean but they are still jumping around.......A sorry state this Flight situation??? not at all. Gamers like "Action" and more action, Flight can indeed be very boring if one does not have the "flying bug" inside. How many times will a gamer fly trough hoops or fly for coins?? three times?? then what.....after you fly a Mission (gameplay in FSX) you never return to it since you know what, when and how. How many times will gamers fly from airfield a to airfield b??? on a tiny island or on whatever territory MS decides to bring out a a price you don't know???....again for those who still don't get it....without the ability for ousiders to make the thousands of freeware addons of all kinds and without the Great, Good and not so good addons the FS family has had for decades..MS Flightsimulators withosut SDKs, would not exist today, you would only know FS98, a dead Game.....But, I as all humans have my own likings, I like aviation Real (16 years Flying), model airplane building, RC flying, Airplane photo collector, avid reader of aviation history, and home cockpit maker, for FSX and I usually raise my head when I hear the sound of aircraft......I love aviation. Other humans like PC and Console Games, good for them. To those that are like me and find Flying their Sims a great hobby (Game-Sim if you like) don't you worry for FSX. X-Plane and others on the burner at this moment will keep us busy for more decades.....;)...None of us need MS Flight or any other Game.
  7. The more I see of those Flight "films" the less I like the Thing!!!!!!....just hear what the two gamers say to each other, totally ridiculous chat while playing the thing......
  8. I have always been an optimist keeping an eye for Opportunities and those that I have been able to manage have given me great returns on investment. I have the feeling that MS FLIGHT is a door of opportunity to the add on producers for FSX and other incoming platforms. Since MS took the Game route and has willingly forgotten the Sim Community time has arrived to RE-Enforce development and Production of Addons of all types.......like someone said " You cannot miss what you have never had!!"..so lets jump into this "Opportunity" window to broaden our products for FSX, both Payware and Freeware....MS, I firmly feel will fail in this attempt for a Flight Game cannot in any way whatsoever get the sales that a Need for Speed, Dirt, Dirt2, and so many ACTION games are out there for kids. My grandson loves those and even the latest Railworks is a must for him, when I load up FSX he sits with me and has even learned to fly the Cessna 172, but after one or two flights he leaves and goes play something else. He likes ACTION!!! which is in most kid's nature but flying a civilian plane from airport to airport is not such a great deal specially if his blood is not injected with aircraft fuel....picking up tokens and flying under fire hoops will eventually just be placed in the back of the files. My prediction is that MS after a year or two of failure in this endeavor will just simply let it fade away as they have done with so many of their infamous games....they have indeed with this attitude of disdain to a community that backed them up for decades actually lost the touch of Flight and lost millions of enthusiasts who would always be on their side.....Empires have done that trough History.Gera Godoy Canova
  9. Well I just saw the Flight movie in YouTube and by all aspects it is packed in a "Game Wrapper" it looks pretty....But simers, those who Sim or play with flight simulators are a little more serious with their hobby....MS, goofed, I think, and just made one more of their not to well known games, remember any?.....not making an SDK for developers is a grave error, inside developent of planes and scenery will be limited and sales not to spectations, you´ll see.....what kid will fly the game very long not being able too shoot down some AI enemy?? how many times will they enjoy flying from one airport to the other in Hawaii to start???, how many times will they enjoy crashing or water landing??..How many hard gamers will log in to play this?? when they can log in FREE at "Need for Speed" and really have a ball sneaking on the cops and having a fun race all over???....or fly all kinds of war planes on line and have hordes of ME-109s attacking the incoming bombers???....not to many I think. BUT,,,,,I can see MS Flight Opening great opportunities for developers in FSX and X-Plane and also in FS9....now is the time to delve deeper into FSX in planes and scenery!!!! and its happening too, look at the wonderful weather engine from HiFi which just came out....new sounds for so many planes, and so on and so forth....yes, I thing that simers, the real ones, will take the opportinity to better their sims and get our community developers, both freeware and payware to come up with new stuff to better our sims....someone said " you have not lost what you have not had"....too bad, we all hoped for Flight to be one step ahead in our hobby, but that´s life guys, just rev up your FS whatever Stearman and fly up to our sky, the one we have know for so many years, its fine up there...........OH, I am going home tonight and make a nice rough airfield, full of dirt and grass out there in the boondocks of FSX.
  10. By Friday, Bush pilots will be able to battle the critical weather that is developing in the Canadian Rockies......Take a Hog, 300 chicks to Frost Lake Village and your passanger, the well known Belly Dancer, Arabella Microsift , to the Royal Hotel up in Small Stone!!!....Scenery, LC and adventure in a Mission you will not easily get out off.------http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d145/scratchbuilt/AEROPUNO.jpgIf you like Bush Flying check http://www.fsadventuresky.com and join WAPA....Gera

  12. Hi FS9 Pilots.....For two years I made Freeware FS9 "FSAdventureSky" flights together with their own scenery. I now only do FSX ones and soon will add FSX Missions.......So, I will be deleting all FS9 ones in about a month from the FSAdventureSky Site......Last call !!!!!!....if you like "adventure Flights" check them out and download them before they are gone for ever.......Happy New Year to all FS9ners and hope to see you soon in FSX!!!!!! and in some "FSAdventureSky Missions and Flights"...CheersGera...........................FSAdventureSky : http://www.freewebs.com/adventuresky
  13. Hi Jim...Yes I have it, but I wanted to get to know the SDK, :( :( , now I can full around with both. :( Happy New Year.Gera
  14. Many simmers have written me about my "FSAdventureSky" flights and have asked me when I would make more "Missions".....I like the "Open" structure of "Flights" since I have always thought they are more challenging plus you can do them in whatever sequence you want and under any weather condition---- well I might be wrong!!!!!!!--- I spent the last month or so fooling around with the Mission SDK and have finally "gotten" the "feeling" of this horrendous dis-articulated procedure which was probably conceived in a nightmare!!!!!!!......anyway, I have been able to make a mission with animations, sounds and intricate situations!!!!!......and it looks Nice!!!!!!!!..........I guess that now I am liking it and probably some of you will too....So, after finishing a second one just for myself last night and checking and re-checking it over and flying it several times I have desided:---That for 2009 I will be making both "Missions" and "Flights" but....Missions in larger numbers.........That

  17. Rio de Janeiro is a huge city. Many executives live very far from their offices and on friday nights there is nothing better than returning home, so late at night, than in the "Samba Shuttle".It takes off at 11:32 PM right after the great "friday night two drinks for one".Biglio DeFritas, top dog at Banco do Brazil lending office is usually the last to drag himself down from the shuttle since he lives by the sea at the last airfield the shuttle stops after the previous 3. Rio is BIG!!!!!! so be ready for a flight above the lights of this wonderful Metropolis. Flying the shuttle at night is no easy task since the fields it goes into are not very well lighted and at this time of the year it really rains here so the flight is pretty wet, to say the least!!!!!.....there is also much traffic into the three International Airports so you must be on the lookout for those big birds landing and taking off around your path........anyways its a daily flight many love and fear......Soon in your nearest Sim!!!!!
  18. Hi Pilots....Hope this is the place to post this....First of all I would like to thank all those who continually download my Adventure Flights and specially those who write me about them. The next one is a little different and now with "Music" voices will follow as well as other effects....getting to look more like Missions. For this weekend I want you to meet three guys from Italy, Chile and the USA...-----------------------------Tre Piloti.....( Three Pilots)Coincidence?......"Tre Piloti" is the story of three pilots around the world. All three guys have something in common, and that is: An old powerful airplane and they fly in rough territories.....One takes supplies to out of the way towns in the Italian Alps, that

  21. Hi Thigo...I had another pilot report the same thing. The Atolls are right in front of Belize city but there are some islands also there which confuse the situation...check the "real" map of the area in Google then go after the farthest atoll and you will see the ship and animals...The lifeboats with the animals in them are the hardest to find...you will have to fly no higher than 150 feet!! in order to see them for they are very small.....enclosed pictures of both:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/177154.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/177155.jpgHope this helps....Thank you for downloading the Adventure and glad you liked the area....Belize is quite beautiful.RegardsGera
