  1. Hi guys thanks for the reply - I checked the Ops' Manager again and expanded the directory for the 747II still no livery options. I see PMDG 747QOTS II expanding down to Expansions then PMDG 747-8 and that's it? This is after selecting the correct model from the above drop down (the FSX/SE model selection. Is there anything you might recommend to get the list of liveries to pull (registry fix etc)? Thanks again for your support! Lyle I found the problem - I thought the product was grouped in the list but saw the 747V3 for FSX is at the top of the list - I was selecting the SE version - da? Feeling like a bit of an idiot now :-) Thanks again for your support! On my way to install liveries now :-) Great Plane - thanks for this PMDG you rock! Lyle
  2. Hi everyone - I checked the Op's Center and there are no liveries for the new 747-V3?? Has PMDG made any available or am I looking in the wrong spot to install additional liveries? Can't seem to find them anywhere? Thanks for your help! Lyle
  3. Good to know about the POTS - will check mine to ensure its not contributing - Thanks Tom! Lyle Barnard
  4. Richie thanks for the reply - I set the brakes up in FSUIPC as you suggested and it appears to have resolved the problem with the PMDG autobrake issue - have throttle sensitivity again after applying the brakes without having to click the autobrake switch off and on...... Appreciate you help - Thanks again - Lyle Barnard
  5. Thanks Chris for the response - so where do you / did you put the null to 0 in FSX (in the FSX Config file?) I too am not using FSUIPC to control calibration - if you could point me to where you set the null zone I will give it a try. Thanks again - I appreciate your help..... Lyle Barnard
  6. Being new to the AVSIM posts what full names are you referring too? I have user/password so what do I have to do to sign off a post? Sorry for my ignorance but couldn't find the rules anywhere.. HELP! (this is likely another unauthorized post :-))
  7. Hello fellow PMDG enthusiasts - wonder if someone could help with an issue with the CH Rudder pedals I am experiencing on the PMDG 737NGX. The problem is - when I brake using the rudder pedals I loose throttle (have to advance the CH Throttle to regain speed) and the only way to eliminate this throttle issue (so the throttles require less forward thrust to move the plane) I have to click the autobrake switch to one of the positions (1,2,3,etc) then back to off. As soon as I do this my CH Throttle regains its sensitivity and less throttle is required for speed. Its almost like the brakes are remaining applied when I press and release the rudder brake on the CH rudder?? Quite annoying as every time you press the rudder brake you have to click the autobrake switch on and off..... Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Cheers! Lyle
  8. Hi everyone - hoping someone might know why the AI aircraft labels (a list of aircraft) appears at random adjacent the title bar in FSX? This has been happening with FSX started and no activity (just start the sim and park at the gate).... If anyone knows how to prevent this I would be grateful! Thanks - Lyle
  9. Hey guys just sitting here thinking (which is always dangerous :-)), these days there isn't very many developers willing to dive into a product for FSX not to mention to the extent of providing as best realism and experience as PMDG is shooting for........so lets be a little thankful.... the company has a risk here and was willing to take it in providing a top quality product for our enjoyment - they could have just as easily decided to fade into oblivion fearing the wrath of bugs and the like....what else would you be flying tonight, would it have met your technical expectations - likely not - would it even attempt to come close to what we are seeing being created (it is a work in progress) in the 737NGX?? I don't know about Bert but as far as I'm concerned kudo's to the folks at PMDG for doing their best to provide a product well above whats on the market - without their WILLINGNESS to develop a product we all can enjoy, the alternative would be our resignation to mediocrity in flight...... To the guys at PMDG from one grateful Canadian flight simmer - keep up the good work, we will endure while you figure out the various bugs,we can count on one hand and 3 fingers the number of companies trying to develop an advanced product and thank you for sticking your neck out and taking the risk - last time I checked not much software is immune to bugs, recalls and such things - On behalf of a grateful flight simmer.....thanks for your hard work and service to the flight sim community. 10. Is anyone having a problem with the clickspot for the HUD? The WestJet 737NGX livery doesn't seem to have the clickspot yet loading the AA or Delta it works fine? Any help is appreciated - Lyle
  11. Hi everyone - programmed in a fix but when you click beside it nothing happens - (normally it moves it to the bottom so you can transfer to your "legs" page) Any idea what's wrong?? Thanks for your help! Lyle
  12. Hi Tabs thanks for the reply I'm a newbie to this forum what rules am I breaking as it is unintentional - where do I sign my name?Lyle Barnard
  13. Help! I need to reinstall my 747X but it will not validate despite all efforts..... can't contact PMDG support the user/password and e-mail is said not to be on the server!!!My use/password is recognized if I enter it on the top right - I can get into where all my orders are recorded etc., it just won't recognize it on the main support page login...So I am assuming wherever the user/password resides it is the same place the validation is looking - if it won't recognize it on the support login likely not recognizing it on the validation attempts...Help from a PMDG analyst support person would be appreciated!Lost in server land - I do exist :-)Cloudhopper
  14. Hi Terry - stumbled across your thread on the ASX X-gauge problem which is what I am also experiencing - I've been e-mailing Jim back and forth and am too waiting to hear from Damian on a solution.Have you heard anymore or managed to resolve the issue?Would be interested in anything that you might have done.Cheers!Lyle
  15. Hi Jim, I am having the same problem as Martin even when I right click to run all applications.. It worked fine before - but had to reinstall the program.I unistalled ActiveSky X and Advance in Control Panel....then reinstalled ActiveSky X, tested X-Gauge it worked - installed SP3 - tested again - it worked - SP4 it worked then I installed ASA and it did what Martin is describing.Power on/off works and it say its updating info but does nothing (after a few seconds the message disappears but the screen still has old data).I am on Vista also,Any idea - one thing I did note during re-install only ActiveSky X asked for the key - ASA installed without asking...not sure if it might be a registration issue with ASA.Appreciate the help with this - would like to run ASA rather than going back one step to ActiveSky X...Cheers!Lyle
