I know, I've worked on the island of Palm Beach for many years.as far as addons go for me I have a nice twin comanche (Eaglesoft)a nice single 177 (AOPA gift)a jet fighter F18 (Aces)a single turoboprop (Epic)a push pull O2(FSD)A REEEALY nice 206 (DoDo sim)A 747 (IFly)and a few othersand I can Nav by roads with GEX .but , I know there are some who'll read this and say I should have this or that, or , what I do have is junk.who cares , ...not me :( you know ,what I think really ticks them off, is the fact that I can be content , and they havn't found out how to do that, but I hope they would.Joe

the google search results do not show the percentage of the worlds population that use any of the big three on a wholefs9 fsx and X plane... what percentage of the worlds population Sim???I know some RW pilots that think it's nuts, ..."cartoons are for saturday morning" gruff gruff gruffmy view of it is it shows a search percentage between fs9 and fsx and the number of hits google and google only has tallied.whats the percentage from the other search engines show? and what does it all mean anyway? the sim community is divided?I read in some post the user of a particular sim version hate the other versions and will never use them.I'm not sure what or more importantly who are the answers are good for ? the community? or the develpoers to figure out what is the most viable resourse to develope for. as for me I have the addons I want, and I'll probably not be buying anything to addon as far as software is concerned.perhaps ( maybe) a FSX V Tail that I did buy already buy BUT development was stopped at SP1 so it's got no panel in VC uh heckhemm! yes you guysbut like I said maybe,,,, I can fly it in FS9 and in the real world when a buddy of mine takes me up with :)anywaysI'll be adding something for free in the way of scenery , my local airport.... I think everyone knows taking or downloading something that they didn't pay for isn't right, fair, or justifiablebut it's why the "No Trespassing" sign has to be writen in so many different ways. so why not just validate my install with some dll or whatever, so I don't have to bother again?the burning to disk , handling , stocking disks and boxes, . that doesn't make sence , No argument with you , it the seller in fact why not let me burn an ISO........ bada bingI mean if I have been validated ..... the file I downloaded is validated as authentic,, then whats the whoha all about?it just makes no sence at all , as spock says it best. thats not logical Captianagain the argument goes to the developersbtw if the answer is "cauz'en we say so" .... puh'leezzzzalsothere is only one way to stop piracy,. and everyone knows the answer...

just my opinion.. there is an ol saying " don't get caught watching the paint dry"all it takes is a second of distraction and your seconds behind, it happens to the very bestat the highest regarded skill level(( remember a Pan Am pilot at Teneriffe ?.)) Think out were you are and were your heading Before you take the turn.......poor souls.

I use FSX only , over the hill gang memberI have about 400.00 worth of add-ons (and I cringe at that amount)mostly AC although I have GEX so I can Nav around by road , for the most part :)I run it on a 820D with 4 gig of ram ( and I don't worry that I can't use it all)and an 8800GT OC happy simming :)

a thought...would you continue to sell a program for a 100.00 (now only 50.00) you developed, when a market born of your software is making millions.?And on top of that you have to field a slew of phone calls complaining about "some" 3rd patry developers software , who blame all the problems on you? and how many calls to authorities to report the theft of those add-ons...they certainly have better things to do....... this all started out to show what computers can do (way way back when). FS grew out of the love of the game.and now it's all about money. Which of coarse is needed for one to pay bills with, every one knows that. I think where we've gone bad is the acceptance of that and approval of it.I hear it all the time anymore with a shrug of the shoulders , oh well what are ya going to do. it's all about the money...just pay the 899.00 for ESP or buy X-plane.. or X Box or what ever.I think the worst of it all was the developers who made his or her offering for free and see some members even websitesabsolutely rip a person to shreds over it. even some of those think it's funny to this day,.. probably mock this post. my friends who will escape that society , No One, the truly sad thing is it will fall upon your children as well. We make the world we live in. as for me I'm happy with what I have, I paid for it fair and square. ..... :)FS is not the sum total of my happiness.

I agree as well, there should be some declaimer at least. maybe a color DOT can be assigned for those models. in the list of FSX add-ons. AT least for the payware models , I have a couple that were converted and have all sorts of problems,glass goes solid at nightgauge problemssome textures don't show at alltool tips not readable.. ect ect, I shouldn't have to do anything but drop the file in the simobjects or run an auto install. and it all work, right?Like A2A's 377 , it perfect, as perfect can be , and for a very fair price yet some of these converted models selling at 25.00 are far less complicated , a fraction of the gauges and .. well , ... I really don't want this to get into "the rant"If my concerns would be considered It would be greatly appreciated Understanding this would be a far bit of work for the site caretakers, Maybe if the developers would be more clear in the description. the payware developers , who are still selling these models, should retract the file from download sites.Consider the freeware modelers for FS9, The best of them gave us addons as perfect as the 377 for freePlease, Any model advertised for FSX should work in every way,(the basic stuff here Gentleman, I know there are all kinds of excuses) ,But not one of them is good enough, to go ahead and sell something with a promise to make it work in the future.If'n your a developer , and you think it's ok?? Give me some money for something that doesn't workand I promise I'll get back to it when I get the time.Wouldn't ever happen, I wouldn't even ask for the money till the Job is finished , and finished properly. we make the world we live in, yes?
