  1. I'm lucky enough to fly the real deal Figured everyone in the sim world would enjoy seeing the real thing in action, so here's a little video of my short hop from Dulles, VA (KIAD) to Gettysburg, PA (W05) yesterday. Winds were quite stiff out of the south/southwest, gusting to about 25 knots. Filmed with GoPro Hero HD using the suction cup mount. Music is "Westwind (remix)" by Nina Simone from the Remixed & Reimagined CD. If you have any operational questions about the airplane, feel free to ask.
  2. Not a problem. Send me a PM if you ever need anything else in Latin America. Have a full US and Latin America subscription to JeppView.

  4. To earn a dollar in the aviation industry, you first have to start with a million.
  5. I fly a Hawker 850XP for a company in Virginia. We took it down to Tampa for the 12 month inspection and brought it back this past Friday. We had a small issue that required some extra attention by the mechanics, so our delayed departure time meant having to deal with weather along a cold front that had moved across the mid-atlantic and southeast region during the day.Breaking out on the back side of the front over the Outer Banks of NC.Not our airplane, but one just like it. This one is operated by Talon Air out of Farmingdale, NY
  6. In case any of the payware developers are reading this and have any interest in any of the aircraft mentioned above...I'm typed in and currently flying a brand spanking new Hawker 850XP. I'd be more than happy to assist in the development of a virtual model of the airplane so that my sim buddies can enjoy what I get to fly for my job.
  7. Here is the bird parked in front of Gate 11 to clear customs before departing TIST for homeAnd the panel. 10-9 chart up for the airport on the right MFD. Note the PALCO6 departure course on the left MFD. Got to keep clear of those mountains to the east of the airport
  8. It isn't "immaterial". Ever wonder how they determine who was flying the airplane in the instance that the CVR is destroyed in a crash? Also, you aren't asked to stay clear of Class A airspace if your transponder goes to the morgue in flight. I was recently flying out of SLC and my co-pilot neglected to turn on the transponder before takeoff. ATC never said a word for the first 20 minutes of the flight, and one of the subsequent controllers finally said something as we were climbing through FL250 or so.
  9. Hi all,I'm making an offer here. My company just purchased a brand spankin new Hawker 850XP. I will be going to initial training at Flight Safety on Oct 13 and will jump right into the ball game and go flying all over the western hemisphere. If anyone (or group) wants to take on the challenge of creating an ultra realistic Hawker, I'd be more than happy to assist in all the technical aspects. Being one of the only two pilots for the company, I have access to pretty much anything a developer may need to create a masterpiece for Flight Simulator. Since the Hawker is a very common business jet throughout the world, I would imagine it would be quite popular for the masses. Its about time for a Level D or PMDG caliber biz jet.
  10. Also known as a "quick turn" in the corporate world. A good quick turn on a small or medium size biz jet takes about 15 minutes and may consist of 1000 gallons of Jet-A, taking a bathroom break, refill the ice and drink bin, dump the lav, get some more catering, clean up some of the mess the pax have made, check the weather, get the clearance, load the FMS/GPS, calculate V-speeds, reorganize the charts and then get underway again.
  11. Nice scenery, but it is a shame that the GA ramp was ignored.
  12. Could be the reason you stated or it could be a reposition leg to pick up another customer's property.
  13. Hi guys,I'm a long lost member who's account got closed due to inactivity a long long time ago. Since the last time I've posted here, I've probably accumulated over 1000 hours, been through 2 or 3 flying jobs, and landed my first corporate jet job. I fly out of KORF (Norfolk, VA) for a private company in a Lear 55 and Cirrus SR22 G3. If anyone is looking for information on the corporate lifestyle, feel free to PM, IM or email me.All pics taken with a Sony A100 DSLRStorms on the way to SLC last fall. We didn't have our RVSM LOA yet, so we were stuck at FL280 for a trip of over 1000 miles.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/189443.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/189444.jpgCaptain's sidehttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/189445.jpgMy sidehttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/189446.jpgArtsy fartsy stuff while waiting for the boss at DFWhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/189448.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/189449.jpgThe new 1L/19R at IAD. A special treat to fly overhead the airport on the way to KJYO, as I normally get routed up the east side, bordering the FRZ. Should be fun to hear the controllers stumble over the new designations for a couple of weeks.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/189447.jpg
