  1. Release is very soon of this latest airport scenery from LatinVFR. Access their web site and forum with screen shots via Simmarket. This will be another winner as Bermuda, Miami, and Key West. Thank you Ricardo and the LatinVFR team Don Billings
  2. Search the file library under FS2004 scenery for "Antillies" for a file by the FS Antilles Group. This should give you what you are looking for.Don
  3. Matt,Please go to the WIN7 OS Forum here at AVSIM and "Tips to install FS2004" in addition to other topics on WIN7 and FS2004.This should help you,Don
  4. Just using AI Separation at this time, may give AI Smooth a try in the future. Thanks for the compliment.Don
  5. Would like to add my experience with a fresh install of FS2004/WIN7 on a new machine from Best Buy:HP Elite HPE-400y: AMD Phenom II Quad Core, 3.0GHz, 8GB DDR3 SDRAM,1TB SATA(7200rpm) HD, ATI Radeon HD 5450 Graphics with 512MB DDR3 dedicated memory, Windows 7 x64, 23" monitor (HP2310m) at 1920x1080.I still have my previous FS2004 on a six year old Dell with Win XP SP3, therefore copying folders and files was made easy using USB drives.Run as administrator with UAC OFF and anti-virus temporarily OFF.Installed FS2004 as C:\FS2004Ran the update patch from within the FS2004 folderInstalled: FSUIPC 3.98 FS Genesis Mesh (copied from scenery\world\scenery to same) Trees by Gerrish Gray Ultimate Terrain USA from CD GE Pro from D/L REX for FS2004 from D/L Zinertek's Ultimate Water, Night Environment, and A/P Environment from D/L World of AI (copy over WOAI data file and all woai traffic.bgl files from scenery\world\scenery AFCAD 221 (copy over AF2 bgl files from Addon Scenery\scenery AFCAD scanner (scanafd) Traffic Tools (copy over aircraft, airport, and flightplan files) RWY 12 FS9 Configurator 1.6 (fscfg16) AI Separation (fsaisv1.1) Gauges (copy over all gauge files, some will overright, but any for addon A/C will be copied) Effects (copy files, some will overright, the rest will copy) Texture (copy over files, overright when prompted) Addon Aircraft(copy over your addon A/C folders intact to the FS2004 Aircraft folder) (For WOAI A/C, do the copying over in small groups as this can take some time if you have many WOAI packages) Addon A/C with their own installers: re install (I only have Flight1's ATR72-500 and this works well) Fly Tampa's St Maarten: re install from your D/L (still have your registration key?). If you just copy over the scenery files your WOAI A/C will be 2-3 ft above ground. Copy over all your addon sceneries and add to the scenery library as outlined in the forums. This is my experience with FS2004 and WIN7. I am not a power user of flight sims nor a frequent poster, but I do visit the web sites every day seeking any helpful info. I would like to thank all the contributors who have made it possible for all of us to enjoy this hobby to its fullest.Thank you, Don
  6. David, Sooner or later most of us will migrate to Windows7-64 bit with FS 2004 as our sim of choice. How do you proceed after installing FS 2004 and the update? From what has been said in the forums all we need to do is to install the following as an examample:1. FSUIPC2. FS GENESIS Mesh files (copied from the FS9/Scenery/World/scenery folder3. Ultimate Terrain USA4. GE Pro5. REX for FS 20046. Active Sky7. Zinertek's Ulimate Water, Airport Environment, and Night EnvironmentAlso, do we need to install the following before installing the above?1. Airport 210 Textures2. ASD 21 Textures3. VOD Textures4. NOVA Textures5. Any other texture files that come to mindDo the following need to be installed from scratch or just copied over from other computer?1. World of AI,can we just copy the world of AI folder, plus aircraft and traffic files?2. AFCAD, just copy the AFCAD folder and the AFCAD files from Addon Scenery/scenery?3. Traffic Tools4. Runway 12, the folder and the Scenery Objects folder? The add scenery files can just be carried over but re-entered into the Scenery Library?Your thoughts and comments would greatly apprecited.Thank you,Don
  7. Jerry,The tutorial by David "Opa" Marshall "Creating VIP Parking For Commercial Airliners-an illustrated guide" available here in the library is most useful. Follow his instructins and you will be directed to your gate by ATC. Give it a try. Works very well for me.Don
  8. We also have well done freeware for KALB, KBDL, KBUF, KPIT, KHVN, KPWM, KBGR, KBHB, KBDR, KGON, KMVY, KHPN, KMHT, KISP, KFRG, KACK, KHYA, KBID.Don
  9. Carl,Please go to their web page: http://mach1designgroup.webs.com/scenery.htm, scroll down to "Other" and click on the highlighted link. That should do it.Don
  10. David,Was using jzwater for 2 years before switching to fs9wat (both freeware) this past March. Both are good, but personal preferences will prevail.Give them a try.Don
  11. Ken,First get AFCAD 2.21 by Lee Swordy here at AVSIM.Third party airport sceneries usually have their own custom AF2 file. These files designate Gate assignments for airlines servicing the airport. You can also add VIP parking for your aircraft using the AFCAD program.Let us know how you do.Best Regards, Don
  12. My system is an out of the box 4yr+ Dell with 1.5G memory, 256mb video memory, FPS locked at 20 and Active Sky (earlier version).Frame rates hover close to 20 on the ground and in the air. Even the ground animation has no impact on frame rates.Fly Tampa has retained the original terminal in its correct location. The new terminal is in back. With World of AI aircraft packages this airport really comes alive. Get the Air France package and watch the A340 T/O for Paris between 3 and 4 PM. Rwy 9 is less than 7700 ft and with the hill in the distance, it is a pretty site in itself. Please get this one and also World of AI.Have fun, Don
  13. J RThese sceneries should work well together, but add one at a time beginning with the airport senery. For value for price paid purchase Fly Tampa's St Maarten complete package: http://www.flytampa.org.Was there in April 2007 and this package is right on the details, new terminal, the Sunset Beach Bar at Rwy 9, and even the Avis rental car facility. Most everyone will agree this is one of the best out there.Give it a try, Don
  14. Terry,Do you have Traffic Tools installed? It is a "must have" along with AFCAD.After installing a WOAI packags using their installer, the next step is to use Traffic Tools to "decompile", then "compile" the airline you just installed. This will first create three files: Airports, Aircraft and FlightPlans, from there you will create a traffic file.Hope this answers you question.Don
