  1. Every flight I've been on no matter if it's a CRJ, ERJ, 320, 737 the speedbrakes are used extensively during descent. They are not fully extended of course but used as to maintain a certain speed and then let go, at one point I see the flaps being deployed in increments and that tells they have reached a target and it safe do so according to policy and specifications. The flaps are fully extended at some point on final and the landing gear comes out. I have a number of cockpit videos, Air Canada, Westjet etc all this is very clear when I watch. When in FS9 I follow the same procedures and it's all clock work to me.

Actually I found it, it is tweak #6 in the Sim Samurai book and goes like this,(Your Graphics Card Here) what ever you card is...Mode=whatever your res isTriLinear=1TextureAGP=0PanelAsTexture=0The last 2 lines don't work for me regardless of how I enable my AA, inside or outside the sim. As soon as I got rid of this it's all good. So 3Green you were almost there, thanks.
  3. I've been setting up my sim according to Sim Samurai for FS9, it recommends setting AA outisde of FS9. I have an ATI HD6970 video card when I set AA in Catalyst I get a black instrument panel in the default Cessna. Why?

  6. I was very high on this add on initially but it may very well be the cause of my out of memory problems, read on other forums that it's a memory hog. Needless to say I regret my purchase. Unless you have a 64 bit machine I feel scenery enhancements represent a certain risk.
  7. One feature I would like to see and maybe it has been mentioned already, is when the aircraft has been cleared to line up and go. Often when I go watching at the airport I see this, the aircraft gets onto the runway and goes, no pause. Of course it's because there is no incoming traffic or it's beyond a certain distance. That would be cool.
  8. Ok, I'm doing CYUL to CYOW via THURO at 14000. After I passed THURO I was ordered PD13000 to which I complied, this was the last time I heard of the ATC, I landed in Ottawa and then the ATC came back with Jazz 8929 altimeter 3036..Jazz 8929 altimeter 3036..Jazz 8929 altimeter 3036..Jazz 8929 altimeter 3036 and on and on. What may have caused this? I was flying the CRJ 200 from Wilco.

  11. Radar Contact is awesome, but now is my first problem in 6 months. Ok, I was doing a short flight with my PSS Dash 8 from KAVL to KCLT. This is my flight plan "KAVL SUG LINCO KCLT" 81nm and FL110. As I was approaching Linco I was asked to contact KCLT approach on 134.75, I use Otto all the time and he did not respond, consequently I never received any orders to start descending or any form of vectoring. Now RC comes back and tells me later I'm off course (pretty obvious)and orders me to fly 355 but nothing else happens. My config is as follows, 2 computers, widefs, Fscommander, Activesky, Radar Contact. Recently I have installed a bunch of new airports and both KAVL and KCLT are such, I did perform the required updating for both RC and FSCommander. Any idea what might have taken place here?
