  1. its still Thursday, at least in some places. My understanding from the developers discord is 2200 zulu.
  2. https://discord.com/invite/z5TsGeuaKA He is already planning a patch for next week based on feedback in the discord. This post also had a reply to another quote about working on another plane before this one was released. The developer, 1 guy remember, has said sometimes he needed a break from the mustang and wanted to have another project to work on, so he started the hawker. I totally can understand this, sometimes your working on a problem and need to just walk away and work on something else and look at it again with a fresh set of eyes. This aircraft is not a money grabbing ctrl e model. the manual is available on the discord and it specifically states IN THE MANUAL it is not recommended to start this plane on the runway, it is strongly recommended to start the plane at the ramp and go through the flows to start it. The dev has said as working title adds features to the NXi he is going to add them to the mustang to get the mustang version specific NXi as close to real as possible.
  3. I am a nobody no name in this community, but I have purchased it and spent the last 2 hours doing FSEconomy hops. I have also been watching streams on and off this week that the dev has been on, as well as on the discord, so I feel like I can give a somewhat informed opinion. First off my sim setup I'm using a realsimgear g1000, so I can't speak to any of the NXi integration or some mixed reports I"ve been seeing about the in sim keyboard being inop, I'm not sure if thats by design, bug, or current limitation, but it doesn't affect me, I just spin knobs on my panels. 2nd, the Dev has had a team of 20 beta testers testing this aircraft including at least 1 cessna mustang pilot. The plane is designed to fly by the numbers in the POH and have similar feel. Yes the full documentation is not included, but if you go out on google, you can very easily find it. I'm sure it is a licensing issue. He was asked in a stream about why he did not include the climb performance, and all of that, he said the sim version is slightly different and if he was to include it he would have to develop it all himself to match the sim, instead of real world, and as a dev team of 1, that is not something he wanted to spend time on. The dev has been very responsive to feedback. In fact someone mentioned the toilet wasnt fully modeled on Tuesday and he had it modeled and included in the next build by Wednesday(of this week). I did not own the flight1 mustang in FSX but this dev is very much inspired by it, and that is what level he is aiming for. Cockpit diagrams...if any of yall have ever seen a real POH, not a digital one, but a real one, or like many planes a photocopy of one, the images in this manual are very similar. That is the look he was going for. He did not want to do screenshots and point at things, different from other manuals yes, but I love the choice for it. Another note on responsiveness, the airplane includes a quick reference card on the left side of the dash, click it and it comes up. Because I use a hardware g1000 I asked could he include a printable version of it, 24 hours later it was added to the manual, and if you look at that quick reference card in the manual it has some graphic details that look like it was scanned in, which is an awesome detail! G1000 NXi. He asked on his discord about what the community wanted, hold the release until Working Title got features added to the final g1000nxi to allow him to fully customize it, or release it now with a more basic, standard, vanilia g1000. The community said release it now, because we don't know when we are getting those features, but in the previous version of the g1000 he had columns in the MFD to show addtional information such as trim settings, and flap settings. He said as soon as those features are added back to the final g1000nxi they will be added to the plane. Dev Team: Well...there is 2 people working on this plane, but primarily just 1 person, his name is Seb, he is very active on his discord and has done a great job with this aircraft. Who is this guy? where did he come from? Well...his day job is working for SWS, yes, that kodiak SWS. Cockspur is his side hustle. He has already anounced his next project, the Hawker 800XP on his discord as well. Comparision to the honda jet...I can't give it to you, I don't own it. I only fly g1000 airplanes because of my hardware setup. I will say I'm thrilled with this aircraft, everything that needs to be modeled and functional is modeled and functional(well, the FMS keyboard might be having some issues but I'm sure that will be fixed as soon as possible) and this airplane is a blast to hand fly, it feels great. Not every airplane in the sim feels great, or feels realistic(I am a RW pilot but just my PPL) but this one feels very good. Edit: one more note..the dev has said he is going to take this weekend off and start fixing any issues on Monday. In a stream today he said family is coming in from out of town and its his daughters birthday.
  4. I can confirm I had the crash while loading approach too. I honestly don't remember what airport I was flying to, it was one in Japan, and went to load it up and it crashed. I was flying direct to the airport, then loaded up the procedures and was scrolling through the list and thats where it crashed. I know thats not totally helpful but it is not an isolated incident with that airport since I had it to. I am using the updated FSareo data.
  5. I can totally understand your opinion on the navigraph charts. Now that said I would say probably 90% of the time in the real world a light twin like this would not be flying into the large airports, for example someone owning this plane would not fly into JFK, they would fly toteterboro. They wouldn't fly into LAX, they would go to Van Nuys. I think that is what Sean the developer was building this plane for, not so much flying into the JFKs and LAX. Currently there are work arounds to the sids/stars that Rudi has explained in his videos, and in other threads it has been said Navigraph is coming, but there are some issues with it. As Rudi hinted at some of the smaller airports aren't in navigraph charts, so they wouldn't be in the G1000 database. Yes that will help some users wanting to do the big airports, but it will hurt other users wanting to fly into the smaller airports. Now all of that said about navigation, this plane is something special, the flight dynamics are amazing. IMO it has the most realistic near stall feel of any plane I've flown in flight sim. The sounds, the buffeting, it is very well done. Now that said I do have some things I would like to see in the future, my number 1 item, which may already work with a full version of FSUIPC, is I would like to have physical buttons for the g1000. Yes I know the realsimgear is out there, but I don't want to spend $1500 on new hardware. I want to spend $150 on basically a fancy switch box that I can turn all the knobs on the g1000s on. It doesn't exist so I know I will have to make my own which I'm fine with but currently I cant figure out a way to assign buttons in the g1000 to keys, so if I can't currently do that, I can't assign it to a button box I'm going to build. That is a very niche use case so I know it may never come, but I would like to see it. I am still going to enjoy flying this plane a lot. I fly on FSEconomy and this is going to be my new plane of choice, I also am planning on doing an around the world flight in FSeconomy, in this plane. I think that will be a blast. Just to sum up..please don't let the lack of navigraph charts stop you from experiencing this amazing add on. I have some of the a2a planes, PMDG planes, areosoft, carenado. It is one of the best, if not the best, out there and I can't wait to see what else Sean at Vertx is going to do with this plane, and what his next ones are.
  6. So I have been following this plane for a while, but I just went through the setup and tweaked a few of my sim settings as recommended in the manual and just a quick flight around the pattern checking views in chaseplane etc. Holy cow. This plane is amazing. I was never lucky enough to fly any of the real air planes but this is something special. I have some real world experience, soloed but didnt quite make it to my PPL before I had to stop due to funds. I have flown some of the a2a planes and I'm gonna be honest this plane just feels excellent flying. The stall buffeting, the sound, the slight shake in the airplane(I disabled all chase plane motion effects I've never been a fan of those) that is the most realistic stall warnings I've had in a sim...ever. I can't wait to really dive into this thing, there is a lot to learn with the avionics but this plane is awesome.
  7. Chaseplane is an awesome program. You can move your viewpoint around using controls inside of chaseplane, then save your view then either scroll through those views, or assign a specific view to a specific button. I like it because you can actually move your viewpoint around so for example if you want a full screen view of the MFD in the DA62 you can move your viewpoint there so in the real plane it would be like your head would be right above the throttles.
  8. it did say Friday night into saturday europe time, so I wouldn't expect it before 2-3 USA EST time if my math is right. That said I'm right with everyone else here refreshing this page and the website waiting for a buy button.
  9. @rudi0310 I wanted to say thanks so much for your videos. I have done some video editing before and it is a LOT of work and you did a great job with them. They have helped so much with me feeling comfortable hopping into this plane and at least getting some of the basics going right off the bat. I wasn't flying on flightsim with the realair planes came out. I took a multi year break from FS for a while and I'm frustrated with how great those planes sound and that I'm not able to get them. Then here comes this DA62, I'm so excited for it. I have been flying on FSEconomy for a while and I am looking forward to using the DA62 on there. I have also been planning on doing a world tour flight in a small GA plane, and I think this DA62 is going to probably be the bird I do it in. Great work on the plane Sean, and for the other add on developers this is the way to release a plane, have it 90% of the way there, start talking about it a couple of months, not years, in advance. Show the real plane doing real things in the pre release stage, and then release it when you say your going to. Yes delays happen sometimes but a week is much better than months. Can't wait for tomorrow! edit: One question. I am still on p3d v4.3 do I need to update to 4.4 for this plane or will it work on 4.3?
  10. I do have FSUIPC, but it was unregistered but I solved the issue. For future refrence I did a couple of things at once and one of these fixed it. I updated my FSUIPC turns out it was out of date by 1 version, not sure how that happened since it was a fresh download, but it was. I added my registration to FSUIPC also. More importantly and Bobs thought got me thinking. the ACARS software for my VA does an autosave on flight progress, I turned that off, and one of the above seemed to fix the issue. Glad its working now!
  11. Hey everyone, I am just getting back into the sim world after being away for a few years with p3d, and I went in with two feet. Purchased the PMDG NGX and active sky 2016. I had used them back on FSX, a few years ago but decided to make the switch to p3d. Well I may be regretting that. I am having a problem that I'm worried I wont be able to fix without hours of diagnosing and reinstalling programs. First off the basics, Running p3d 3.4 on a windows 10 64 bit machine with i7 5820K @3.3 GHZ, 16 GB Ram, dual Nvidia 980s(running in NON SLI mode for p3d), P3d has the NGX Active sky, ezdok, and my virtual airline ACARS software. Various sim connect things, AS connect and FSUIPC for the ACARS software. I am running the latest versions of all of the add ons, as I just downloaded them this week. The Problem: can be intermittent with no real pattern. yep the most fun ones to diagnose. The entire program hangs. Not a stutter, not a glitch, hang. simulator pauses, get the spinning wheel, then a few seconds later not responding pops up(running in window mode) then it fixes itself and we are back flying. Whole thing lasts about 10 seconds. It happens every once in a while with any plane I am flying, but I have mostly been flying the PMDG NGX. It has happened with other aircraft when I was trying to figure out if it was just the NGX. Now here is the real kicker, it happens in the menu in the game as well, for example if I go into options while flying it will happen. It happened when I went to go change aircraft to test a different airplane. It doesn't mater if I have active sky open or closed, ACARS software open or closed, doesn't mater, still happens. It happening every 10 min or so I could live with, but today it happened on approach where there was some heavier weather. Game would go for 5 seconds, then hang, then go for 5 seconds then hang. I shut down all of my open add ons(active sky, and ACARS, and even changed the weather to clear, with no change at all. I bet it is add on related and may just have to bite the bullet and reinstall the whole thing, adding one at a time to see where I have the issue, but I would really not like to do that. I will have to test it for about an hour each add on I install. Anyone have any advice or suggestions before I go down that path? Thanks Also: Is there somewhere that I can check all of the versions of the sim connect and fsuipc, basically everything loading into the sim, in one place? And where would that be?
  12. Mike I also am running the ultra wide setup, although mine is eyefinity not the nvidia based system, but anyway you mentioned: That should fix the 2d pop ups popping up ultra wide, correct? I didnt have any of the courser issues but I'm sure I will if I keep using it, I only used the FMC pop up last night. Richard Glatter btw Didnt I see a while back that you were working on a flow checklist for the NGX? How is that coming?
  13. I totally agree about your impressions I have the same feelings. I loved hand flying this plane, the last plane I've hand flown that acted this, how can I describe it, right, or correct, in just everything especially trimming it out and it holding in trim, only plane I can compare it to is well, no FS plane, it compares to the real world flying I've done. Flown cherokee 180 and tomahawk no big planes but it still is the same kind of feel. Really amazing job PMDG, can't wait to really put this plane through its paces this weekend.
  14. I got it purchased and installed but as of now 9:15 PM CST I can't activate it in game...will try it a few more times.
  15. Not to hijack or anything, but it is a long these same lines, A lot of people say saitek yoke is better, I have the CH and wonder weather it would be worth it to switch. I have the CH yoke and pedals no throttle but would love to get one and might before the NGX comes out. My only problem with the CH is both the yoke and pedals have a little bit of a zone in the middle that you dont really get any response in and then there is a notch kind of feel then you start to get response, not just smooth right when you start moving it, that is both with the yoke and pedals and on the yoke it is both elevator and aileron controlls. does the saitek have that or is it smooth even right at the beginning? Thanks for any advice.Richard GLatter
  16. Saw those posts earlier and yea that was tough to see. Personally I will be buying both aircraft just to compare them myself and different planes for different times. You all are doing a great job and I love that you all don't allow anyone else to interfere with what you are doing. The other aircraft has a known bug on release and will take them 3-4 weeks to fix they said but they wanted to get it out to everyone, PMDG would not do that which IMHO is the right way to do things. Take your time as I know you all will and release the best add on aircraft any of us have ever seen.Richard Glatter
  17. Personally I hope this is the case but right now, I do not want to know that, That is a really big feature and would be a great surprise to see on release day.Richard Glatter
  18. About the SNJ, My grandfather has one been up in at few times, have not been able to fly it though :( Dont have a tailwheel endorsement. Nothing like the sound of a radial engine.I am very impressed with the NGX so far, those videos are awesome and the liveries are great. I cant wait to fly it, Great work so far guys and looking forward to seeing more of this amazing aircraft!!Richard Glatter
  19. I doubt it will be released today but I do think in the next couple of weeks or so. Probably the middle of the month. And I know that they have said they would announce beta, but I am beginging to question that due to all of this posts about final testings and things like that.Richard Glatter
  20. um...wow that is a big deal. that sounds awesome. The potential to never having to go to an FS menu to set things up.Richard Glatter
  21. Thanks for the update Robert, very much looking forward to the release whenever it may be.( I think with no solid evidence middle to late April) I have my new system built and just waiting for this fantastic aircraft to make it complete.
  22. I really appreciate all the updates that PMDG has provided in the past about the NGX it really is going to be a monumental aircraft for FSX and flight sim, especially with what they have shown us so far. Thanks guys from PMDG all of this hard work is really paying off from what I can see so far.As for everyone wanting an update that was talked about, things happen life happens, if they cant post an update so what, we have gotten a ton more info so far than most developers give out, begging for an update and then slamming them when they dont give one is not cool. They are already going above and beyond and I know I am very appreciative of it.Robert, hope you and your daughter get well soon!!
  23. sorry for the double post,I looked at my ATI driver settings, and everything was turned up max in there, max AA and everything, I turned it down to all middle settings, not lowest and not max and it helped A LOT. Still not perfect but it helped a lot.Weird thing though, with those settings in the middle I tried very dense in a thunderstorm on both settings and everything was as smooth as sparse, which is very very strange but it worked.I am happy with what I have so far from 5 min of testing, I will try a flight later on today and see how it goes.Still if anyone has any ideas on improving things a bit more I would love to hear it.
  24. Yea trimwheel I wouldn't worry I know its probably some setting I have, or possibly the ATI card that is causing all of my problems.Did some more testing trying the things everyone recommendedThe DXT settings were already on in REX, I had to check to verify but they were checked.Storage: Realized I totally forgot to post that in my specs, OS drive is a 128 GB Crucial SSD and FS is installed on a 500 GB 7200 RPM SATA 3 Drive, everything is a fresh install just got it all installed Friday. I have not run a defrag on the drive but I will try that.Affinity Mast: Was set at 224, that was from bojotes online tool that set that, I put it at 14 as confirmed the correct number on nickn's post.I did try it on a single monitor and was not impressed it was still very stuttery and not smooth.I did install the shadermod 3.0 last night with no change at all.If anyone has any other ideas I would love to hear them, the budget cant take a new video card at the moment :( Thanks alot for everyone's help so far!!
