  1. yes, fantastic stuff an SDK. even though it will no doubt be as much an afterthought in the development process as it is in the threads in this forum.i do not, however, think we should leave it up to truck manufacturers to develop the SDK -- even thought, i realise, they would probably do a slightly better job than microsoft.
  2. great stuff. NOW. we are taking bids at 6 cents. lovely threads going at just 6 cents. any further bids at 6 cents.going once...me personally, i do not have 2 cents to rub together on this issue. all this new MS FLIGHT SIMUullaaa...*(sorry force of habit) has got me completely befuddled, which pleases me immensely. however if you guys keep putting ideas in my head this might all change. i can already feel the stress building.
  3. might be a few second hand Gulfstreams on the market after the whole Mubarak/Egypt affair. maybe they will be doled out to the rest of the junta. surely Mubarak was not stupid enough to leave them anywhere where they could be reclaimed, but then again he was stupid enough to not see the writing on the wall when the forces at be were politely giving him the word that the jig was up. there is a lesson in that to all people in such positions of power -- run, dont walk, to the nearest exit when the military brass and the secret services start 'chatting' and making suggestions -- they are the most likely the only reason you are there in the first place.
  4. nvidia chipset based m/b perhaps? i have not heard of any 1155 nvidia motherboards yet though. i have no experience with nvidia motherboards.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------i think we are getting way off topic here but here goes anyway: you might be able to get away with just doing a repair install. be careful to prepare your current install by uninstalling any potentially sticky progams such as antivirus/firewalls, bootloaders, etc. there is plenty of info on such procedures around the internet. google will be your friend, advisor and confidant. make sure you have backups of all your personal data on the install disk just in case because if things go wrong you might have to do a full install which can wipe everything. i think there is also an option to do a full reinstall but leave your data in your current account intact. if it is your only computer to access the internet make sure you understand what you have to do and have hard copies of stuff you need to be aware of because things can go totally wrong sometimes.
  5. freebird has flown the coop."one cockoo flew over the rest" (just wait... i think i have got that book title wrong. something like that anyway. it's been a while).great thread folks -- despite the casualties. i for one am interested, and appreciative of the cut, thrust and parry.
