  2. HiToday I have ordered the card:ASUS nVidia GTX580 1536MB PCI-E 2xDVI/HDMI/DP HDCP PhysX CUDA DDR5 DirectCU II FanBest Fredrik
  3. HiVery interesting thread! My monitor setup is: Matrox THGO2 at 5080x1050 (3x22") and I will buy a Asus GTX580 CUII, 1536MB but I have read if you are with high res... you should go for card with 3GB!I have read in this thread that fsx can only use 4GB of system ram even in 64-bit OS like my computer. With a 3GB VRAM you can get some big graphic problem, like I have had with MSI gtx560ti, 2GB VRAM!I have PMDG 737ngx and I will not get any problem os so!The issue for me was I have had like a thin symbol in the graphic together with MSI 2GB´s card, I have not had the problem in the graphic with the 1GB card so it is why I am pointing at the graphiccard and the problem with VRAM. Can someone confirm it with the 3GB of VRAM even in 64-bit?Best Fredrik
  4. HiI will buy the: Asus Geforce GTX 580 DirectCU II 1,5GB because the cooler that the card have and the quality of the card. I can also buy it for about EUR350!Best Fredrik
  5. HiThe above post I want to set it to a head (the thoughts)! :)But I have seen that the Gen# mb is just fine!Fredrik
  6. HiThe PCIe3 enabled hardware is depending that you will change to a IwyBridge, if I understodd it correct?I have heard that PCIe3 graphiccard will not come in next generation card and that you are not able to use PCe3 for years? That will the only reason too buy a gen3 mb?If you are not going to use Iwy and PCIe3 I have seen:Asus P8Z68-V LEAsus P8Z68-VAsus P8Z68-V/IGen3 (if you want be ready to the future)If I am going to buy the i5 2500K today I won´t sell it in spring and buy the Iwy maybe about 4 years. About 4 years it has happened a lot. New motherboard with a lot of more functions has came out and so on!It is my opinion but if the Gen3 motherboard has another things that is better than mb without Gen3 I will concidering the Gen3 mb!Best Fredrik
  7. HiMy Setup I wonna connect to the card is:Matrox THGO2 3x22" at 5080x1050 and I just wondering if I need 3GB or it just enough with 1,5GB memory?Best Fredrik
  8. HiI have two alternativ to a card:Asus GTX580 CUII, 1536MBGainward GTX 580 3GBHave someone any experience of these cards?Best Fredrik
  9. 40€ = 400Sek yes I have seen that the mb has more functions than LX so it´s worth the extra money!Fredrik
  10. Hi all!I kow that have been lot of question and so on. I know I am bad at searching by myself but I am always larning so I hope I have not angered many!?Anyway my system will be:Silverstone Fortress IIAsus P8Z68-V LXCorsair Vengeance Low Profile DDR3 PC12800/1600MHz CL9 2x4GB (CML8GX3M2A1600C9)Intel Core i5 2500K 3,3GHz Socket 1155 BoxNoctua NH-D14Asus GeForce ENGTX580 DCII/2DIS/1536MD5 1536MB The RAM is a LP and I need it because of the cooler! The graphiccard is for the Matrox unit, should I see a massive performance hit (noteble to me) hit with the card instead of the XFX GTX280?Are there anything else that are uncleare?Best Fredrik
  11. Ok, I see that you have the type of system I will buid so are you satisfied with your performance?Fredrik
  12. Thank you for your answering, it can be a good adea to wait until spring?!What do you think about the 1,5GB is that enough? Someone else maybe know?(If you want to buy a PCIe3 card you need also change your cpu to a 22nm and that cost you another 4000 Sek!)PCIe3 or not is the next question?I think to buy a PCIe2 motherboard because if you buy a new cpu you won´t sell it in spring and loose money for a more expensive cpu, is not worth it? What should you do?If you buy something you will probably keep it for at least three years so in my situation is best to buy the Asus P8Z68-V LX and GTX580(1,5 or 3GB?) and save money to a VrInsight CDUII!Fredrik
  13. HIWhen I have had change to GTX560ti instead of GT280 I did not see any benefit in performance ok just little more smother than with GTX280. That was with i7 920!I am useing the Matrox THGO2 3x22" at 5080x1050. My question is. Will I see any benefit in performance with a i5 2500K system with a GTX580 than GTX280?I will test the GTX280 first than buy a GTX580 when the card is much cheaper when the next generation of graphiccard is out!If you want to buy a PCIe3 card you need also change your cpu to a 22nm and that cost you another 4000 Sek!Best Fredrik
  14. HiOk, good to know but is the unit better than Corsairs SSD above?Fredrik
  15. HiAs the subject describe, is the above SSD better for fsx than the Corsair Force Series?Reply soon, please// Fredrik
  16. HiI have gtx280 with i7 920 but change to gtx560ti but now I have determined to sell the old i7 920 with the gtx560ti because the result was not so better than the gtx280 together withi7 920. I will build a new i5 2500K system and I have decided to keep the gtx280 and maybe buy gtx580?I do not think I will get better peformance with a gtx580 than gtx280, look at: http://www.hwcompare.com/9188/geforce-gtx-280-vs-geforce-gtx-580/ but what do you think about it?I may will save the money for buy a VrInsight CDUII panel to my PMDG 737NGX!Best Fredrik
  17. HiI am wondering if a GTX280 is a good graphiccard to i5 2500K?Best Fredrik
  18. I will go for:Corsair XMS3 DDR3 PC12800/1600MHz CL7 4GB (CMX4GX3M1A1600C7) but is the cost worth it? Will I see any better performance?Fredrik
  19. HiI am going to sell the old rig so I am wondering if GTX460/gtx 470 is a better grafhiccard for fsx?I considering i5 2500K but I also thinking to change the graphiccard to a better for fsx or is that a better to considering the i7 2600K/i72700K?Fredrik
