  1. Thanks for the help everyone. Got it fixed now. I found this page on the PMDG website, and was able to fix the xml file.http://support.precisionmanuals.com/KB/a92/dllxml-information-and-troubleshooting.aspxI also reinstalled my copy of FSUIPC as that ceased to work after the NGX install. After the FSUIPC reinstall, the NGX HUD gauge loaded with no problem. Thanks again! Pete
  2. There is information in the HGS control panel. I'll have to check generators and stby power. I'm away from it right now. I've been starting with the airplane powered up and ready to go, so I would think that they would both be on. Thanks for the feedback!
  3. The stick also needs to be in a neutral position for AP to engage.
  4. Thanks Blade, I tried that, turning it both ways. No go.
  5. I'm sure this is something simple, but I haven't been able to turn the HUD on. I flipped the HUD down but there is no readout. Anyone know if there is a simple on off switch that I am missing? Thanks in advance for any help, Pete
  6. I did not realize that. Thanks so much Vin! Pete Giese
  7. Thanks for the reply Dan, not a loaded question at all. I should state that I love the JS41 just as it is. I'm just curious if it's possible to light up the ground while taxiing. I've got the landing light switch on, but it doesn't light up the area around the aircraft. The VRS SuperBug is a simulation of the F/A-18E just released by another awesome company called VRS. I believe they use shockwave landing lights, which adds a lot of reality to the sim. Thanks, Peter Giese
  8. Can anyone tell me how to get the landing lights to work on the J41? I've been getting used to lights on the VRS Superbug and I'm curious if the J41 is capable of lighting like that. Any input? Thanks, Pete Giese
  9. I would add Eaglesoft's new Citation X into the mix. The systems and flight modeling are great and it can do everything you mentioned. It would also allow you to shoot approaches into smaller airports that Level-D or PMDG might not make it in to. I've found that I enjoy the Citation more now that Eaglesoft modified the VC. Looks better now than the initial release did.
  10. VRS sets the benchmark for customer service and quality. Their innovation in FS can't be matched. I bought the FS9 version and was blown away with that. I preordered the FSX version 2 months before release and it's worked flawlessly since day one. Don't take our word for it though, there are a couple of naval aviators on the VRS forum who speak it's praises as well (One former F-4 pilot as well as current F/A-18 C pilot). IMHO, it's the best military sim available for the civilian market. Pete
  11. I absolutely can't say enough about the level of service the VRS guys deliver. Somehow, with literally 2-3 main guys, they manage to put out a product that entire studios can't match. I've always had unparalled support from them and expect nothing less for anyone else that purchases from them. These guys know how to do it right. I've literally emailed support at 5:00 AM on a Saturday and gotten multiple responces within an hour. A word to all those waiting for delivery.. Give em a few days, let them do it right, and you'll be amazed with what you get. There's no rival for what they produce. After all, Varmint has spent the last 6 years of his life for this product!!! Who else would do that?.
  12. Has anyone actually confirmed problems with the ERJ on Vist 64? I've got W7 64 and the new ERJ is working flawlessly. If you even thought you might like the ERJ, I wouldn't let the lack of "official" support stop you. Worst case is you buy it and hold on to it until you change OS's, or they offer official support. It's a great addition to FS.
  13. So far the new ERJ has worked great on my Windows 7 64 bit set up. The new model is great. FPS for me so far have been great as compared to the Flight 1 Mustang or even the LDS 767. Frames have actually been slightly higher than the 767. VC is great, beautiful high res, and having Call added to the program puts it a step above. Great plane!

I'm getting that nearly every time. It's real annoying. W7 64 bit.
