August 6, 201114 yr Help!, I've read through the docs and have tried the tutorial about 5 times. For some reason I can't engage the cmd a or the autopilot at all. Maybe a telltale sign is when I turn on the FD I get no bars on the pfd. I tried to reasign a keystroke and nothing happens. Anyone experience this. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, Phogbound
August 6, 201114 yr The stick also needs to be in a neutral position for AP to engage. Unless you're a noob like me and disable that A/P realism in the options :) | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
August 6, 201114 yr Author yes the fds are on and the gens are on. The only thing that I can think of is I loaded the cold and dark panel state and did a start thinking there were multiple panel states including ready to taxi etc. Maybe I missed something in my startup procedure that is preventing engagment????
August 6, 201114 yr Commercial Member To begin with, in this plane if no pitch / roll mode is active respective bar BOV's (biases out of view). So FD ON does not mean bars. AP needs a few things to engage, primarily electrics (DC + AC) and hydraulics. Also will not engage if you are trimming and definitely will not engage if the IRS transfer switch is not in the middle and in both on 1 or both on 2. FInally do you have an active pitch mode and roll mode ? Else it engages in CWS_R / CWS_P Tell me to help you. ==================================== E M V Precision Manuals Development Group ====================================
August 6, 201114 yr Author emvaos, Let me take a look at the irs transfer switch. Is there a panel state supplied where the aircraft is properly configured???? Thanks 4 the help!

Thanks in advance, PhogboundFrom your post, it sounds like you are trying to engage the autopilot on the ground ??? If so.........that's the problem. Autopilot will only engage after takeoff. Fred. August 6, 201114 yr Author Figured it out! Thanks for for the help. The ready for takeoff panel state was lost when I saved a different one ( overwrite bug!). It was the IRS alignment. I did not have it properly aligned. Again, Thanks for the help!!!! Phogbound
