Seriously?
I don't want to patronize you at all, but there is seriously a thread about this at least every 12 hours.
The answer is no. The reasons of which will be explained to you if you do a search for PMDG Weather Radar. The CS 777 does not have a weather radar, It has a cloud map. totally unrealistic and PMDG have decided it's not something they wish to include.

AHAHA. I can see some of the nutters totally believing that and making some desperate youtube video about it.
-
I think they will churn the 300ER out pretty quickly. The 600/700 expansion to the NGX came out within 3 months of the base package. It's the 200/200ER/300 that's going to take more time due to all the different engines available.

My first introduction to more complex add ons was as a 14 year old with the Wilco/Feelthere airbus series vol 1 for FS9. I followed the brief but excellent tutorial by Jane Whittaker, from which I developed my knowledge on airliner operation. Now 5 years on I can quite quickly learn a new plane. The basics are the same all over, you just need to know each individual types quirks to be able to confidently operate them in normal operations. 5 years on from that first purchase I have a wide variety in my hanger and largely find procedures to be largely similar over all of them. It only takes me a few day's to get comfortable with a new type if I put the time into it.

Hey Ró, Just a quick question.
On a typical TATL flight how many pages are the OFP's you get and what information do they include? Is the load sheet a separate document on top of that or are they all included together?
-
There's a pretty good explanation: http://www.simbrief.com/system/guide.php#ofpsample. It also seems that the flightplan is automatically validated and, if invalid waypoints are found, automatically fixed. The whole system seems to be LIDO-based.
Reading through that now. Its gonna keep me up all night!
73Pages for a MEL-LAX flight, hmmm If I want to print that... Though most are NOTAMS which are largely irrelevant to flight sim.

Been playing around with it over the last few hours and It's great. There's so much information provided that I don't even know what half of it means! Going to be good practice for PFPX.
For whatever amount of 777 time I have until that program is released, this will be my go-to fuel planner. Plus it does calculations for ETOPS ETP's ect. Would be great for a beta tester to test it and see how accurate the provided fuel figures are.
-
A question to the beta's: Has anyone tried www.simbrief.com with a 777-flight and, if yes, how did it work out? For those who do not know this site (I did not until yesterday), this is a new service that offers virtual dispatches for free. I have just tried it with the 737NGX and I'm very impressed becasuse the produced virtual flightplan seems to be very accurate.
Kind regards,
Markus
WOW. Very comprehensive. Will be great until PFPX is released.

Check the particular page that triggered a bazillion threads here at AVSIM ...
What's changed about it that I should be looking for? The big description of the product?

I can see there is some bleeding through on the glare shield next to the ACPT button. Seems more prominent when the lights are on at around 5:30. I'm sure PMDG will sort this out.Noticed this too, but wasn't going to say anything because I am sure it will get picked up and fixed before release.
-
PMDG have got the sounds of those GE-90's starting up spot on! Love it.

Remarkable thread! This aircraft is so modern and sophisticated. PMDG appear to have nailed it in this simulation.
-
I hope ground friction will be fixed in the hotfix and the fact I have to engage and disengage the parking brake before I can move is strange.
-
Very interesting discussion going on here, but I can't help but nitpick about the EK tailstrike incident. It did not occur in Sydney as has been stated but in Melbourne. Close to 400nm southwest.
If it did occur in Sydney they would be risking going off into Botany Bay.
-
Cathay like their cockpits clean then by the looks of it.
The PMDG 777 is no where near the level of filthiness as the NGX, which even that is not bad at all. Just looks like a typical several year old short haul airliner.

3 page thread on this already.
You can manually enter a ZFW based on any config you wish if you want. It will be distributed through the cabin and cargo holds. Weight is Weight and the plane will behave the same.
-
Great. I remember a long thread about a year ago about whether that feature should be modeled or not. I assume you can disconnect it for those long hauls where you leave the room?
-
Hey Jane,
Does the PMDG T7 have a EFB?
Thanks
Daniel
No, But there is a possibility of one been added in later if PMDG can get affordable access to the data.
-
Just a thought, but would putting extra PAX in as cargo weight affect the loading times on the turn feature unrealistically?
Would it be possible to just have a PAX weight and Cargo Weight set of entry's, with a guide to standard PAX weights for various classes. User's could then add up the values on their own calculator and add the weight equivalent of any config they wish in the cabin. It could be advanced mode or something, and then have what's there now as the standard way of entry for those of us who cant be bothered manually adding up weights for various configurations.

The autopilot can work without the FD on though can't it? It's only there to give visual guidance to the pilots on what the AP would do to match the specified parameters.
Could be wrong here though
I believe you need to FLT DIR on in the NG to use the autopilot. I may be wrong though.

Well, I have just been told that that feature is greyed out on the CDU and, to be sincere, this disappoints me quite a lot, the Energy Management circles are a feature of the 747-400 and 777 and can't be missing in a complete simulation.
Who told you this?
Someone asked about offpath descents, yes it is fully functional.
-
The Q400 has it's quirks, mostly to do with the external FDE engine. but overall is much more detailed and refined. I have both and like both, but the Q400 win's in quality for price paid.
-
Wow. The detail in this thing! I didn't actually realise that was what happened.
If you ever fly on a real 777 and sit behind the wing, you will notice really quickly just how much the flaperons move around.
Just a question?

Can you see the wings?
(sorry testers, It popped into my head! Had to ask )
