  1. I wouldn't buy Mcphat repaints. I have seen them in use and found them the most ugly textures I have seen on the 747 and MD-11.  They look like the aircraft have been sitting in the sun so all the paint fades away, then covered in a shiny, glossy oil.  Not realistic at all.  and the resolution didn't even seem better than the default textures, which on the NGX and 777 are such a high resolution you can read everything.  Just have a look at Avsim, Hundreds of NGX liveries all in better resolution than any other of my add-ons. I expect the 777 to be the same. No need to pay $20 for a pack of 5 liveries, some of which you might use only a handful of times.

  2. Textures aside, the CS737 is an utter pig in terms of FDE (which is miles off), bugs, poor sound and general immersion.

Now this is not a "CS bash" as I really love some of their products, I am just saying honestly that their 732 was a massive disappointment and very poor, bugged and abandoned product.

There is no comarison between the CS732 and this one, based on MilViz's attention to quality, detail and "completeness".

The fact that I wasted spent money on the CS737 would not in anyway influence my decision to purchase this product.

Couldnt have said it better. The CS732 was the worst FS purchase I have ever made. It looks quite nice, but it is ugly underneath the pretty textures.

  3. I believe UT2 at 100% shows 100% of flights from the schedule. I have in my mind 100% UT2 is less traffic than 100% on the other add ons, not sure where I got this from or if true, so take with a grain of salt.

I have a pretty bad system that I push hard, and 100% UT2 is normally pretty manageable for me. I lower it in locations with lots of big airports close by and such though.

  4. Looks great Ryan.

I just have a curiosity question on the testing that just popped in my head.

Obviously you would fly block to block flights, as you have demonstrated in these screenshots. But do you limit them to a certain duration? With the 777 been such a long ranged airplane do the testers test her to the limits of the range to ensure everything remains accurate and works as should over such a long duration?

  5. I was in this boat until 737NGX - first VC that was truly usable in FSX.

I'm going to disagree. I have been a pure VC flyer since I first started using fsx, and always used the VC in my fs9 payware. Infact, I do not install aircraft that do not have a satisfactory VC. I have not found this to be limiting in anyway. Infact, I can not fly from 2D at all. I just completely lose all situational awareness. I don't have any camera add ons, or TrackIR. Completely the default FSX camera system and occasional use of popups. I find it all intuitive and immersive, and much closer to the experience of been in a real cockpit. (have used a 737 sim and fly GA, so can back this up)

To each there own for sure, but to those who currently do not use the VC give yourself the challenge of using it exclusively for a week, it's what I did on fs9 in 2008 on the default 747 and have never looked back.

  6. p.s. No "Lotus" style landing lights...

Not really acceptable in a 2013 payware aircraft if you ask me. It is now well known technology by developers how to do this as most have achieved it, including Aerosoft. I even have freeware with these lights.

Admittedly this is only a small omission, and I am still going to upgrade as it will be a big improvement over the original.

  7. While the QW addons are not up to the high systems standards of the PMDG birds, they are still very well put together. I love  flying the Avro. The 787 should be a nice representation while we wait for something deeper.

  8. Hi thanks for dropping by. But the drifting is ridiculous i can go all the off runway and with some real life video i dun see any big ad adjust to the rudder too. Please correct me if am wrong

They do make corrections with the rudder, but they are normally not large.

If the drifting is as bad as you say then it sounds like something is off in your setup. It would be best for us to help you if you could make a video.

  9. No if I set realism general to easy this doesn't happen

This is because it is dumbing down the flight model and making it unrealistic. Having the sliders set to easy is not really recommended when using high end addons like PMDG.

You have a twist grip joystick so making rudder inputs is simple. Infact, you are using the same joystick I did for years so I know how well it works.

David summed it up nicely. based on a wide variety of environmental and mechanical factors the aircraft will not stay completely straight on the runway without a bit of pilot input. The tip to look ahead to the end of the runway is valid and actually what you are taught to do when learning to fly real planes.

To sum up, correcting the aircraft's trajectory is just as important on the ground as it is in the air, probably more so, and is a basic piloting skill that you should learn. You have the tools to do so.  Think of it in the same way your car won't stay straight on the road and you have to make minor adjustments to stay in your lane.
