I think PMDG were developing a "base" system to make development easier for future PMDG products(so that would explain the delay of the product) , thus meaning that other PMDG products will be made in a shorter period of time. Also, IMO, this product is going to be revolutionary , so i think the wait is going to be very, very, very much worth it

Hello folks,Been surfing around the ORBX forums, and they announced that they will be doing a FREE airport for their PNW series, 2S1 Vashon Municipal. Now THIS is what you call payware quality airport, and the project hasn't even finished yet!http://orbxsystems.com/forums/index.php?topic=22427.0Cheers,

curious about the virtual heavy metal flyer
AlexMichael replied to AlexMichael's topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
Thanks for all the help guys,Just another newbie question, what separates a 737 from a md-11. I know the MD-11 is more complex, but in what ways?CheersAlex -

curious about the virtual heavy metal flyer
AlexMichael replied to AlexMichael's topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
Thanks Al for the amazing reply. I guess doing proper flight procedures in the simulator can be very enjoyable, and a rewarding experience. BTW for long flights in airlines i think i will just use the second monitor to cruise around the web. Is that what you do Al? Also do you recommend angle of attacks airliner training products?CheersAlex -

AlexMichael replied to AlexMichael's topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
Thanks for the reply Ian,So what do you do in cruise flight? Was my theory correct of doing nothing but monitoring the systems?CheersAlex -
Hi guys,I always wanted to know why people find virtual heavy metal airline flying fun? I mean, you start up the engine, go through checklists, takeoff, then reach cruise altitude. Now this is what concerns me. Who would want to stare at a cockpit for 3 hours while there is nothing to do? In my opinion, flying low and slow in a j3 cub over ORBX scenery would be much more enjoyable. I think people find it fun because it is challenging? I am becoming fond of virtual heavy metal flying myself, and hopefully one day i will understand why you guys think this is so much fun. Now to clear the air, i know nothing about airliners, i dont know what you have to do in cruise flight, etc. I really want this question answered. So i hope i understand whats the big deal about heavy metal flying, and how it is fun.CheersAlex

Hello to all,There is a new, awesome FREE FS FLIGHT TRAINING called Aviator90. You go 'back to school', and learn how to fly a light G.A plane all over again. Seriously, you have to watch the series, it improved my flying ALOT. You can view the series here http://www.flyaoamedia.com/blog/aviator90/...or90-episode-1/EnjoyCheersAlex

Hello everybody,I know PMDG is known for airliners, but maybe they can develop maybe one G.A aircraft after the 737NGX? Imagine that a PMDG 172SP G100!I know i would buy that in a heartbeat. Also it won't take very long to develop, unlike some of PMDG releases. Maybe they can make a partnership with cessna and make the ultimate fsx aircraft, cheers

Carenado planes with 3D gauges?
AlexMichael replied to AlexMichael's topic in Carenado General Forum
Still i think the 3D gauges are worth the extra delay. Who doesn't like silky smooth gauges?CheersAlex -
Hello,Would it be possible to implement 3D gauges into carenado planes? It would be nice to have silky smooth gauges, that look very nice at the same time. I belive the only developers that use 3D gauges on their planes, are PMDG and Real air. It would be awesome if Carenado could make 3d gauges, and maybe even make an update for 3D gauges. Just an idea :( CheersAlex

Does the 182 have good slide slipping characteristics?
-
Hi everybody,I have a war in my head, and i just can't pick which plane to choose for complex air plane training. The Real air SF260 Marchetti, or the Carenado 182 Skylane RG. The marchetti; I mean the gauges must be great in 3d, but I think the marchetti has too much power(not sure if this is particulary a bad thing for beginners) .The 182 has a wonderful atmosphere, excellent flight model, but the stutterey 2d gauges can be annoying. ITS SO HARD TO CHOOSE!!!!Please if you have any experience with any of the planes, please give your impressions.CheersAlex
