  1. Hi Achmad, As a Dutchy, I also installed the NL-2000 scenery. Personally, I find the scenery even better then the ORBX stuff, and ....it's freeware. Since the scenery has been based upon photographs from 2005 (the year, I left Holland), it's a littel also a liittle bit emotional for me, to fly over it with a real VFR plane. Then I can fully enjoy this very realistic photographic scenery. Of course, if you fly a F-16,or a 737, you can expect a drop-down of framerates, especially in the neighbourhood of the included airports. Best regards,Henk Altena
  2. Hello everyone, Solved the problem, thanks to all of you, especially Cristie, Tom and Vincent. If you use ASE, the weather settings are set to "customized weather". If you then make a flight without ASE, the weather settings are still "customized weather". That caused the problem of increasing TAT, during climb. If I first choose a weather theme e.g "Clear Skies", the everything is OK: TAT goes down on climbing.Other complex aircraft (eg IFly) does not takes this into account)Anyway, thanks to all for the help. Glad it solved the problem. Final conclusion: PMDG737NGX is very ralistic and not too realistic. Kind regards,Henk Altena
  3. Hello, Those saved flights are made before I installed LINDA. As far as I know, but maybe I'm wrong, lots of settings are saved, and after reloading activated again. Perhaps also the then used yoke buttons????? Andy, I run Win7 64bit. UAC is turned off, since I installed Win7. I hat tis stuff, really not necessary (Microsoft ).FSX is installed on its own harddisk, with nothing else. Thanks for the feed-back anyway. I will try to load another "before LINDA" flight, and look again what's happening. Will report back then. Kinde regards,Henk Altena
  4. Hello Wayne,I have toexcuse me, because of my mistake. As you can see in my other post with more info, temperarures are indeed going up, during climb. To all: I never used FSInn. I will try everything again, using the clear weather theme in FSX.Thanks so much for all experiences and advices, you gave. Regards,Henk Altena
  5. Hello,Got some more information, which could bring up suggestions. FLIGHT LSZH-EHAM at dusk in summer.TAT temperatures without ASE:LSZH ground: TAT +12CAt 4000ft: +17CAt 10.000ft: +25CAt FL150: +31CAt FL200: +35CAt FL250: +39C TAT temperatures with ASE:LSZH ground: +20CAt 4000ft: +29CAt 10.000ft: +19CAt FL150: +16CAt FL200: +6CAt FL250: -2CAt FL300: -18C The weather section in my FSX.CFG file: The weather screen in my FSX-Settings: Hope for help.Regards,Henk Altena
  6. Cristi Thanks for the feedback. In fact, I did not use a weather theme. Will try it out. Regards, Henk Altena
  7. Hello, After a couple of beginner problems, with which I was helped by the forum members, I can say now that I'm quite happy with this add-on!It's so flexible. Other than using the FSX control settings to set up my yokes, which the don't work with PMDG aircraft, with LINDA that's possible now. Thanks to the developers of this add-on. One question though: If I load a previous saved flight, then suddenly my old FSX control settings are back again, and the standard.XML file has changed back.Is there an easy way to prevent this, or must I save all those flights again?. Thanks for any help on this. Henk Altena
  8. Thanks John, I installed the 737NGX module, and now everything works like a dream. I even reprogrammed the user buttons in the MCP-Combo a little. Best regards,Henk Altena
  9. Hello Wayne. Thanks for the feedback.I did not say, that the TAT goes up, simply not down. FSUIPC could be a cause, not sure. I need a registered version of the newest FSPUIC, to be able to run the LINDA module, which I need to use my MCP-Combo (VRInsight). The FSUIPC.ini has a lot of weather entries. I will check this out, and report back. Thanks very much for the help. Henk Altena
  10. Hi Tom, Thanks for your feedback.Don't have FSinn/FSCopilot installed. Henk Altena
  11. Hello, I made a number of test-flights from Zurich (LSZH) to Amsterdam (EHAM), using the same flightplan everytime. Flights were during daytime, dusk, and night. All flights were carried out at a max. flightlevel of FL300.When I make the flight, using ASE real-time weather, the flight is good. the programmed VNAV path is followed exactly, and the 737 reaches FL300 very easy. However, when I make the sime fkight, without ASE, I run into serious trouble. Above 10.000 ft, it seems that the plane looses its power, to climb further, and finally the calculated TOC comes behind the TOD.One difference, I noticed is that with ASE, the TAT goes down, during climb. Without ASE, the TAT does not go down. This could be an explanation. Still, I think, there are many 737NGX pilots, who fly without ASE, or another weather-generator.How do these pilots handle this behaviour, and keep enough power on the plane, to easely reach FL300?. Any feed-back is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance, and kind regards Henk Altena
  12. Thanks John. Did not know, there was a NGX replacement. I will have a search for it, and install it. Kind regards,Henk Altena
  13. Hello, I'm still testing my Saitek Yoke with LINDA assignments of the buttons. Autobrake decrease/increase were programmed for default FSX aircraft as displayed in the picture. It works with the default B747.As far as I understand, the manual says: it then should also work for add-on aircraft. It does not work with the PMDG737NGX however. What am I doing wrong??Any help is much appreciated. Regards, Henk Altena
  14. Thanks very much. That solved the problem. Kind regards, Henk Altena
  15. Hello, There were a couple of fast identical posts. Still need help on this.I'm unable to use assigned key commands in FSX.I added a couple of pictures, which shows what I mean (anyway, I hope so). LINDA-1.jpg: shows the COM port used for the MCP-Combo in SerialFP.LINDA-1A.jpg: shows the joystick assignments, I made for testing.LINDA-2.jpg: shows the initial settings when LINDA is executed.LINDA-3.jpg shows the LINDA screen, after having started FSX. As far as I know, I downloaded the latest version of FSUIPC, Can't find the 4.075 version.LINDA-4a.jpg and LINDA-4b.jpg are being displayed, after having closed FSX. What could be the reason, that I can't activate the parking brakes and the view toggle switches, using the assigned buttons on my Saitek Yoke? Hope to get help.Regards, Henk Altena
  16. Hi, Guess the problem is not the amount of RAM installed, but the fact that FSX is a 32bit program, which means that after starting FSX, you'll have only some 4 GB which is used. Henk
  17. Hoi Riccardo,I have a registered version of FSUIPC. Thanks for helping me.Henk Altena
  18. Hello, I would like to program the autobrakes (decrease and increase) so they will work with my Saitek Yoke.Keyboard commands for the autobrakes in the FSX control settings are: CTRL-TAB-B and SHIFT-TAB-B.In the PMDG CDU, the autobrakes are not assigned.I tried to assign them with the FSX control settings, but I coul not manage that. Could anyone help me on this. Thanks in advanceHenk Altena
  19. Hello, It's known that FSGlobal2010 and Aerosoft's Madeira interfere. Please read the thread about this in the Aerosoft forum. There you will find the solution. If not, report back and I'll help you further. Henk
  20. Hello, Is there a way to have 2D panel lighting at dawn, dusk, or night??I did not read it in the Intodruction, but perhaps I missed something. Glad for an answerRegards, Henk Altena
  21. Craig, Thanks for the answer. You are right. I tried it out, and it works with the hotfix. And....no freezing up until now. Cheers, Henk
  22. Hello everyone, After having installed the hotfix, something is going wrong for me. After having lined out the 737 on the runway, I switch on VNAV and LNAV. Then I let the engines stabilize at approx. 45% N1. Everything fine. However, as soon as I arm the TO/GA, the VNAV and LNAV lights extinguish (perhaps not the right word), the VNAV and LNAV lights are out., and I can't switch them on again. This happened after having installed the hotfix. Before, everything was OK.Any help is appreciated very muchThanks in advance,Henk Altena
  23. You're correct only for a small part. You will remember, that FSX was developed for computers with one core, although lots of us had already dual core processors. They upgraded that with the service-packs.When FSX was issued, they had already a 64bit OS developed, but, indeed, most of us used WinXP 32bit in those days. They should have upgraded FSX to 64bit later. Finally you can run a 64bit program in 32bit mode (and not reversed). That's why I blame Microsoft for bringing out FSX as a 32bit program without looking then a little bit more in the very near future.........and I'm sure, they knew this all. Henk
  24. Hello, I also have these bloody OOM's, also with other "heavy" planes. Of course, it has something to do with the add-ons you'r flying with (like for EHAM approaches: if you installed Aerosofts Amsterdam together with NL-2000 fotoscenery).I have Win 7 64bit, so I thought, I can install more RAM. Now, I've 12 GB RAM installed. Still have the OOM's. Somewhere, I read a couple of posts, telling me, that since FSX is a 32bit program: FSX can only adress roughly 4 GB RAM, not more. When I did read this messages, I was quite frustrated with my 12 GB. On the other hand, it seems logical though. If it's really true, then we have to blame Microsoft's FSX in the first place, and not the producers from demanding add-ons. Regards, Henk
