  1. Bryan,AES: no real problem. It's nice to let AES takes care of the jetways, and FS2Crew does the pushback. AES and FS2crew, working together is great! My question, about the Master Starter Switches still stands. As for the flow chart: I really would appreciate, if you first would have a look at it. Being Dutch and a newbie with FS2crew, it should be good to make changes, improvements and so, before publishing it.If you would do that, can I send it to you, as soon I've finished it?Regards, Henk
  2. Hello Bryan,I use AES, and therefore switched the AES button in the Main Panel to 'no'. However, AES stays active. No real problem, because, I don't think, AES and FS2crew interfere, for instance I can choose for a pushback by AES, or by FS2crew. Last one, is in my opinion more realistic. Question is: Is this AES button fake, or am I doing something wrong. Is it my (PF) task to switch on the Master Starter Switches. after the FO has started the engines? No problem, if so, but I'm curious when I should switch them on.I almost finished a flow sheet for FS2crew and the default 737, which tells the PF, what to do and goes through the checlists, at every stage of the flight. Every cycle in the Main Panel's display is written on a separate page. I know, there was a forum member, who alresdy did that before, and that was a real good idea. However, for me newbie, it was too much comprised. Perhaps there are simmers, who are interested in this flow too. Let me knowRegards,Henk
  3. A good reason for me to take him out of the hangar and look if I can fly him.ThanksHenk
  4. Thanks Bryan. You get hardly the chance to sleep with all those questions and work, busy, busy all the time.Sorry, I forgot about the 767; he's in my hangar, but I never fly the bird. Perhaps the in the near future?Anyway, hope the Wilco Airbus and the Pmdg MD11 and 747, get a chance too. :( Henk
  5. Hello Bryan,Could you inform us about (hopefully) future Voice commander projects?Up until now, the new generation FS2crew aircraft's are all mid-range aircraft.Since I really like to fly the Wilco Airbus series 1 and 2, and also PMDG MD-11 and 747, like many other simmers do, I really should like it, if there should come Voice commander versions for these aircraft too.Any chance???Regards, Henk
  6. Hello Bryan and Benny,If you talk English(US) like that, you really need some English education. LOL.Being Dutch, the English pronunciation, I learned at school was not English(UK) at all, but I guess, a mix form English(NL) and perhaps a little English(US). I really have to make a compliment to the German guy in the Configuration panel of FS-crew. He talks better English as his Dutch colleague anyway.Benny, thank you for the wellwilling feedback. I've seen all Clint's movies in Holland (original US text, Dutch subtitling), but I really don't get it done, tried it really out. I even asked my wife to give it a try: no luck however. The word 'clear' was never a problem for the Voice commander.Of course, I could do without the command 'cleared' and switch on my anti-collision- and landing lights manually, but Bryan, if there is a possibility to get it done, with a command like 'cleared for takeoff', it would be great. Hope, it's not too much asked.Btw, if I listen to the ATC command, saying that I'm cleared for takeoff, the pronunciation is not that different from my best trials, I think. Thanks anyway a lot for all help until now.Henk
  7. Hello Bryan,I did put my mike at the highest sensivity level, it made no improvement however.Tried it out with ATC. After ATC gave me clearance for take-off, I tried the command 'cleared' again, without result (desperate trial).I'm out of inspiration now.The optional phrase 'cleared for takeoff' could really help me. Perhaps, people from Germany or Holland could also help me out. Otherwise, I would really appreciate it, if you would give this new optional phrase a try. Thanks a lot anyway.Henk
  8. Thanks so much Bryan,I will have a look at the mic's sensitivity, like you suggested.I should really be glad, if also other members (German, Dutch and other members) could give feed-back about this.Regards,Henk
  9. Hi Bryan,Thanks for putting so much effort in this matter.I have Win7 Professional, German Edition. So I used Vistilazator to install the English language, as advised. This works great.I tried to pronunciate the word 'cleared' in numerous ways, also emphasising the 'd' in cleared; even dicted: 'clear red' In this case the voice commander made something complete different out of it (as shown in the green bar). I should start to think that the word 'cleared' is not known by the voice commander. Of course it is there, I know. But up until now, the green bar shows 'clear'Hope you can bring a solution to this. Thanks againHenk
  10. Hello Bryan,Thanks for the quick reponse. The green bar displays 'clear' and not 'cleared'. So, that should be the reason? All my other commands are fully understood however. I think, I pronunciate the word 'cleared' good, I guess. I listened a couple of times to the YouTube instruction video, and I can not say that the PF in that video says it better. My headset is a Microsoft LifeCat 3000 wih USB, which performs very good.
  11. Hello Bryan,Guess I was not clear enough (I'm Dutch). Before I line up at the runway, I say: 'cleared', as written in the manual. Then, the FO should turn on the landing- and strobe lights. However, nothing happens. The take-off is OK, I get my responds from the FO.Thanks,Henk
  12. Hi everyone,Last night, I completed my first flight, using FS2Crew. Lots of work and a desk, filled with paper from all the appendices from the manual. But I really enjoyed this flight. One small problem?, I encountered though. When I announced 'cleared' (for take-off), there was no single response. The green bar showed me that I shoul have said 'clear'. After that, I continued with 'take-off', which was understood again. I did not use ATC, so I did not get clearance from ATC.What could be the cause of this: if it is a false speech recognition, if so, what can I do about it; all other commands are fully understood. Or does FS2Crew only understand 'cleared', when I get clearance from ATC?Thanks for feed-back.Henk
  13. Hi,Have you possibly FS-Dreamteam airports installed?Occasionally, I did get CTD's like this, and not always with gdiplus.dll as the cause. If you have the possibility, start simply by replacing the FSX.exe with a fresh one (no problem, if you made a back-up from FSX). It always helped me.Henk
  14. Johan,Hardstikke goed. Sorry guys, I hope a couple of words in Dutch will be accepted, it means AWESOME.Johan, could you please explain how you managed recording this. Last week, I made my first succesfu flight and landing on a short flight from ELLX (Luxembourg) to EHAM rwy36R (Amsterdam, as you certainly will know). Up until now I was not able to make recordings properly. And recording sound is not possible for me. I work with Autoscreenrecorder and Pinnacle Studio, but I'm on the wrong way for sure.Thank you for feed-back.Henk Altena
  15. Hi boeingace 1618,Very nice video indeed. Could you explain how you did it. When I make a flightrecording in FSX (setting at 1/4 second), I get a terrible result when playing the video back with a lot of stuttering. But while making the flight, I got 40-60 frames. Curios how you managed it. Glad to hear from you.Henk Altena
  16. Hello Dan,Thanks for your reply. I noticed, FSC does the same as FSBuild, i.e. stores a flightplan in FSX format as well as in PMDG or other (choosen) format. Thanks to you, I realized that I can load the flightplan in FSX' flightplanner and subsequently import the plan into the FMC from the 747 too. Then everything works fine with ATC, in map-view,I can see the fpl also. I even could install GPS or FSMap into the plane to see theplane, following the fpl. Not really necessary, but still possible. Btw, I made my first good VNAV, LNAV controlled flight and ILS controlled landing at rwy27 of Amsterdam (EHAM) today. I really love this bird. Unbelievable, I am still learning everyday, even after 67 years, and forums, or better, forum-members are great teachers!Kind regards,Henk Altena
  17. Dan,Thanks for the feed-back. I saw some video's at this forum, also one, including a KLM747-8, landing at Curacao and its livery was quite impressive. So I bought the upgrade and really enjoy this 8i plane with KLM-livery. Better then the 747-400X livery. There is another thing that puzzles me. In the tutorials PMDG always talks about ATC-guidance, also for the MD-11. As far as I have experienced, ATC-guidance on IFR-flights is only "complete" (LOL) if the flight takes place, according a flightplan, generated within the FSX flightplanner. A FSC generated flightplan, implemented into the FMC is not recognized by ATC. I wonder: am I wrong on this, or does PMDG means another ATC-program? Is there a better ATC-program then the default FSX ATC b.t.w.? Thanks again for a reply.Kind regards,Henk Altena
  18. Hello everyone,Last night, I bought and installed the download version ofthe PMDG B747-400X. Well there is a lot to learn, before I can fly this big bird. I have a couple of questions and hope they can be answered.1) Is it advisable to update to the 747-8X and if so, why? I red something about better performance (framerates?).2) Why are the liveries of the passengers 747-400X, which can be downloaded so funny shining? The freighters liveries look much better.3) Is it possible to import FSC-made flightplans into the FMC? (like can be done with the MD-11)Thanks for feed-back.Kind regardsHenk Altena
  19. Hi to all of you,The answer is clear. I have to deal with lower settings, when flying to Zurich, anyway until I buy me a new rig. Thanks very much for all your help.Kind regardsHenk Altena
  20. Hi Dan,I just made the flight from Frankfurt to Zurich (same flightplan) with all sliders to the left. Result: all buildings at Zurich airport were there. So, Dan, it could be a memory problem?I run Win7RC 64bit with 8GB RAM. Somewhere, I red a post about the possibility to avoid OOM errors by changing RAM assignments, running BCDEdit. Could that bring something for me?Regards,Henk Altena
  21. Hello Dan, Hello Michael,Dan,your suggestion will be the first thing, I try out, because I believe it goes into this direction, i.e. memory problems. There was one post in the FSDT forum about OOM messages, while flying the MD11 over FSDT, and only FSDT airports . FSDT guessed: it's a problem with PMDG and PMDG will "blame" FSDT for it. OF course, it is a combination from both: complicated aircraft and a beautiful but funny programmed FSDT airport (you are definitely right there Michael). There is another thing to mention: Up until now, I always had Framerates at unlimited. Now I have put it at 25 max. And I believe, it is already an improvement. Anyway I will report back. Thanks again for all help.Henk Altena
  22. Hi Dan,Thanks for your reply. Sorry for having not followed the forum rules. I'm running the registered versions of FSDT for Zurich, Geneva, KennedyIntl, O'Hara and Ft.Lauderdale. I don't have the problems, posted in the thread you were pointing at. Most of the time, I fly in Windowed mode, but no problem to switch between windowed and full screen, during a flight with the MD11, and everything is OK in the cockpit (2D and VC's). During a flight from Frankfurt to Zurich (installed add-ons: FSGlobal2010, UT-Europe, VFR-Germany, Switzerland-Pro, FSDT-Zurich and MyTraffic2010), I get framerates of over 40 flying in spot-view. On approach and landing, FR are still 15-20. I guess my CPU (Q9650 at 3 GHz) and GPU (8800GTX) can handle the beautiful, but very complex MD-11. I wonder whether it is a memory problem. I have 8GB ram installed. However does FSX uses all this ram? However I don't get CTD's or OOM's.Thanks for all help.Regards,Henk Altena (hope it is correct now).
  23. Hi everyone,I really like the MD-11. However, if I fly a plan from, for instance, Frankfurt (EDDF) to Zurich (LSZH) from FS-Dreamteam, all trees and airport buildings don't show up. Hope for feed-back. Thanks in advance.Henk(running FSX under Windows-7).
