  1. After installing the MSFS 2024 SU3 Beta 1.5.10.0 update, all my Logitech Flight Instrument Panels (FIPs) stop working. They are not responding at all neither with Logitech MSFS Plugins nor SPAD.neXt. Going back to the official 1.4.20.0 version, all FIPs resume working normally. Anyone encountered the same issue with the new Beta ?
  2. Thanks a lot, Bob, for posting such a detail suggestion about GPS on/off. I will study and try your suggestions. I have sent you my email via pm. I will update my status per your suggestions. Thanks again.
  3. Hi Raphael, Thanks for the tips. Unfortunately, I don't have the RXP GNS. Tom
  4. You are right. I've used it for quite some time now. I hate to click the mouse to toggle the GPS. It's so unnatural. Thanks anyway. Will keep searching.
  5. Thanks Diego. That's bad. Can the GPS be switched on automatically when the aircraft is loaded?
  6. Hi, Instead of clicking the on/off button with a mouse, wonder if anyone knows any other methods (such as keyboard command) to toggle the power of the GPS in the aircraft ? Looking for an answer a long time and not a clue found so far.
  7. Hi Romeo, You can check the file on your computer here: C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\SimObjects\Carenado Centurion T210
  8. I recently wrote a utility called ShadeShifter to make the switching of Presets a lot easier and user-friendly. Anyone interested could see my post here. Note that version 2 is coming soon. However, subscribing to my blog is required in order to get a copy of it.
  9. Just spotted the typo "...Steve who brought us...."
  10. Yeah. Thanks to Steve who bought us so much fun with this addon.
  11. Yes Sam, I am that Tom. Glad you like my blog. Actually I am thinking about upgrading to 3 monitors in PLP setup (20"+30"+20"). Still researching if this is possible. Another change being worked on is to further elaborate my flying zone setup. Hope to have that completed in a couple of months.
  12. Hi Sam,Please see the post 124 in my blog fsxtimes here. You'll find a few more posts about SHADE there as well.Tom
  13. I am quite happy with SHADE too. I have it set up to run a different preset for 30 days automatically. So it's an alternative "set it and forget" approach but it renders a different atmospheric effect every day on a monthly basis.
  14. Probably all users are happy as you are.I have SHADE set up and it automatically loads to FSX. I nearly forget about the existence of it. It may be the case to others and that's why people are quiet.
  15. Hi Eric,This is Tom of fsxtimes. As Ian pointed out, "the number tends to be very individual system dependent." I tried different numbers from 40, 80, 200, 400 to 800 on different systems and results were varied. I found 800 is good for my HD6970 card with current tweaks in fsx.CFG. If 120 is best for your current setup, stick to it. Tom
  16. Not true if you meant only one shade effect could be resulted. Even you are using REX, you can still have 10 different presets loaded with Shade for FSX. Unless you use the [Clone Day One] function to make all 10 days the same.
  17. thanks for the note, Luis. But like I said, I always run FSX in fullscreen. And it is a 2560 x 1600 monitor. No idea what the numbers change and what they represent for.By the way, DISPLAY1 at the end sometimes change to DISPLAY2.I only have one screen however.
  18. But what puzzle me is: Even I don't move or resize the window, it changes. Just open and close and quit FSX, it changes. :(
  19. I bought an ASUS GTX580 Direct CU II card to replace my ASUS HD5870 Matrix Platinum card. After using it for a couple of week, I’ve given it up. It is hardly conceivable that such a high-end graphic card is a crap to FSX! Indeed, it has pros:1. Better depth of field compared to my previous ASUS Matrix HD58702. Framerate is about 3 to 5% more than Matrix 58703. It generates less heat and relatively quieter However, two intolerable problems with this card are:1. Texture become incurably blurry2. FSX crashes frequently I had tried all different tweaks, including BP=0, RejectThreshold, etc, etc. After a lot tweakings, I can only manage to have it running FSX smoothly; but, blurry land texture was unpreventable and the worst thing was: FSX crashed uncontrollably. Had enough with it and just replaced it back with my Matrix HD5870. Now everything back to normal and I can enjoy flight-simming again.http://fsxtimes.word...0-direct-cu-ii/
  20. Hi all,Does anyone know the meaning of "Location=760,390,1800,1168,\\.\DISPLAY1" under [Main] section inside fsx.CFG ?The numbers vary sometimes but don't know what has been altered?Any ideas?
  21. Hm...very possible. Thanks for the input anyway.
  22. Thank you, Joe. Do you know what Region Y and Z are?
  23. According to Miscrosoft ESP SDK, the geographical regions the world is divided into 24 regions from A to X. For example, region A=Europe Germanic, B=North America North. http://msdn.microsof...y/cc707102.aspxThese informations are stored in the default.xml within Autogen folder. However, at the end of the file, there are also region Y and region Z. 1)Does anyone know what geographical region of these two stand for?2)If these two regions are deleted, what would happen?Tom
