Hi I have installed the Xplane 10 Demo on my system. I have had a couple of looks. I have CH Rudder pedals, Throttle Quadrant and Yoke.Throttles work ok, Yoke and pedals not quite so well but well enough that if I can get the 747 in the air I can get some sort of manoeuvrability with them. Is the actual sim better than the demo because if its not I dont see me running out and swapping from FSX. I dont know why you wouldput a 747 in as a demo. Maybe a small to medium twin may have been better especially if you want to show off the scenary.With this 747 I find if I advance the throttles to full all I get is the rear tyres screaching from locked bracks. The scenary of what I have seen does look impressive, but to show off a demo it should be easy. Any help would be appreciated. cheers Brett Nicholls

Hi all and a Happy New Year.I'm curious to know what differences clock speeds make with FSX. Pmdg recommends using a 1 Gig card for the NGX 737. I'm using an ATI 4850with 512 meg of ram .1 Gig would help as I can see when I change between the outside view to the virtual cockpit takes about 1 second to be fully visible again. So does clock speed make a big difference. I'm looking at getting a Msi GTX 560 TI SOC to 950 as much the same price as the standard 560 Ti about 820mhz. I know FSX is mainly CPU and I have my 2500k running @ 4.6. Would a non Ti 560 GTX suffice?Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks in advance

Hi GuysI know this topic gets dragged from piller to post but I need some advice. I'm looking at either Asus or Msi.Asus have the GTX 560 single fan at a bit above $300. The twin fan models of the 560 and 560ti range from between $350 to around $400 give or take.MSI follow suite along the same lines as well. However MSI have a 2Gig card for around the $400 mark making it sound like a no brainer but still like some feedback please. I only really play FSX but bearing in mind that MS Flight is coming out at some stage.Basicly is there much difference in the quality between these brands. Also can the single fan Asus GeForce ENGTX560 DC/2DI/1GD5 1GB be pushed like the twin fanned cards. Is it worth spending an extra $90 to $100 on a graphics card. Hi Its the light switches themselves. The dials have a strip on them that light can be seen through. Like I say they show on the bottom dials but not the top.

Hi all, I have noticed that since SP1 the top panel light switches do not illuminate when the main panelswitch is turned on. Is this a glitch or just me. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi talk about odd things I was doing a flight when I noticed that fuel was only dropping on the centre and right tanks. The centre tank was low and I had turned the centre pumps off. I even turned the right pumps off for awhile but the left tank would not budge. I have the time base failures on, Standard I think. I did go into the FMC and settings and looked to see if I changed something by mistake. Not sure if I did, might put it down to ice . I have a feeling I might have left the Anti Ice off. It did come right though but landed with a fuel inbalance.

Hi I notice that the Galley power switch is turned on in Cold and Dark. Is this normal.Maybe an animated cabin door that could open and look down the plane.Maybe a checklist that appears infront of you.What about a randomly generated load sheet that you can then fill in to the FMCMaybe the set of Boeing Manuals can that pop up in front of you. Just some light reading while you are flying along lol.Just some thoughts, I love flying this plane.Great job PMDG.

Hi all,I have updated my NGX to sp1. First I just installed it, but then I found that only the FO's FMC was showing in Clod and Dark config. I found by clicking on the Captains FMC, the 2D FMC showed the text, and when you clicked off it only then the text stayed on the 3D FMC. I then did a complete un-install, re-install of the base unit and then SP1 but did not change. Its like a piece of coding got mixed up on telling which FMC is supposed to be on in Cold and Dark State. The other issue I thought might get fixed with SP1 is the change in the Compass marking on the HSG when the landing lights are switched on and off. With Landing Lights OFF shows a complete circle but LIGHTS ON the bottom part of the circle disapears behind the MCP. Any help guys as always is much appreciated.

Hi Pmdg Team. I tried to fly out of Kai Tak ( old Hong Kong Airport ) but it is not in the FMC database.I guess if it is not used in the real world anymore I can understand the reasoning. Anyway just thought it was worth a mention. Just one other point regarding the HUG display that I noticed sometimes that if you have been flying for awhile and you bring up the display the compass at the bottom of the display looks like it disappears behind the MCP panel.

Hi I get the same issue as well. I think it is just with the add-on liveries. I think mine start off ok but sometime into the flight when you drop out to an exterior view most of the plane becomes invisable. Its not all the time though. I dont know if it is every add-on as I dont have them all but I'm sure PMDG are aware of this and their service pack should remedy it. Hi I see by your screen shot your aircraft config file is missing from your 800NGX WL folder. Near the top of the Forum page isa pinned section for installing add-on liveries. Look through that you will find another file to install to get your config back. I had a little trouble with mine but this section help. Cheers Brett Nicholls

Hi Pmdg. After installing Hotfix release I still get my sim putting itself into pause mode, seems at least once a flight. Not sure how long I have been flying maybe between 20 minutes to 1 hour.Today I was flying, cruizing along and I decided to switch to real time weather. When I came back into the sim the screen just went black. There was sound and I could move my mouse but just black. Pushing the escape button then pressing continue did nothing. I then went to flight analise and when I came back the cockpit came back to normal but the scenary water was not there. I dropped back into flight analise again but when I came back the screen stayed black and had to exit the sim. I was also using an add-on livery the other day and fuse board behind both seats went clear so I could see outside, draughty to say the least. Anyway thought I would share that with you. Hello PMDG. I had been flying for quite sometime and coming into land at NZWN at around 2 to 400 feet my mouse stopped working in the 3d cockpit. I could not disengage the auto throttle or anything. Had been great right up until then. I was flying the Virgin Blue with the tail sock. Please can you patch this in the livery. Cheers

Hi just a quick one. My Virgin Blue Add on livery still has its tail sock on it. Can you send me some virtual scissors to cut it off haha. Might want to check that out. Cheers

Hi. I have installed the new hot fix. Tonight I had a weird thing happen after I returned from looking at the map. The scenary was still there, so was the sound but no aircraft. I did click to an outside view but in panning I had multiple aircraft appear. I clicked to a wing view, saw the wing but also saw what what I was looking at previous. Flight sim was still running so exited from it. It may well boil down to my Ati 4850 card with 512 meg ram. Also I may not have the best driver for it. The flight I was running was a flight I saved from last night, it was started in mid flight, just incase that is an issue. The other odd thing I noticed which has happened twice is the sim puts itself into the pause mode. The first time before I installed the hotfix I had to save the flight, Drop out and restart where I left off. Pushing the pause button had no effect. On the second time it happened tonight I pushed the pause button and it went back to flight. The flight tonight I was flying to Tasmania -YMLT- using the free addons by FTX. I was not too far off from landing as well. I know I did change the driver on my card a few days ago and have noticed that the scenary has not quite looked as good as in the past. I will try and sort that out.Despite these few hicups I love this plane. PMDG you have done an wonderful job.

Sorry you will have to do better than that. It does not show in the livery manager. All I get is the 4 varients that came with the original. Nothing shows up in the other side. Cheers

I want to do a plug for Korean Air. They flew us half way aroung the world and back again. Highly recommend them.

Hi I put two Artic F12 on my 212plus, shop said it was better to put the same type on both sides. I put the spare 120 fan into the case as case is old so now its like a hotrod haha.I had to mod front of chassis to fit it. It works well. I found if I leave the side of the case off it keeps the temps down a little lower. Using the Asus stress test on my 2500k temps are around 57C @ 4.4-4.5 Keeping a record as I push a little harder. Hi Guys, I was wondering if anyone was using a Kindle to run your manauls and checklists. With the NGX out soon and all the manuals in PDF form I thought it might be a good idea to get one and put them on that. Can anyone come up with a reason not to do it this way. Thanks for any help.
