  1. Same here. Just to add informations: Only happen when using ActiveSky 2012.

Have you followed the manual to a T on how to configure your FSX.CFG and FSUIPC.INI? I have, and I fly with no S-Turns or oscillations for PMDG aircraft. (This is with wind smoothing off in FSUIPC and all the suppressions turned off- one of the reasons I will never go back to REX)

  2. The 777 cockpit, especially the overhead, is a lot simpler poly wise than the 737 is (in real life) - we're using that both to hopefully improve performance AND make it look better than the NGX does.

We do not anticipate any worse performance with it, if anything it'll be better.

Thanks for the response Ryan. You guys are awesome. :good:

Well I need to chime in here for how complex the NGX is its amazing how smooth it runs, how does an aircraft of this caliber run smoother than lets say the carenado kingair GA aircraft, whats up with that truly amazing release by the PMDG group of designers.

I know- it's amazing what PMDG can do!

  3. Size is irrelevant.

I don't necessarily agree- larger cockpit = larger textures or a higher amount of textures, no? You can't have the same resolution textures like those that are in the NGX on something larger, because they will start to loose quality.

Granted, that is a very good point about the same knobs and buttons- maybe they would help enough to cancel out the effect of any other large performance degradation.

  4. I have kind of been searching for an answer to this, but I have not really found anything close that has been said by a PMDG staff member.

Is it a goal, or possibility, that the 777 will maintain the same level of performance FPS wise that the NGX did? Maybe better? (Anything is possible  )

I know the general goal is to always squeeze out as much performance while not loosing quality, and I know that the 777 obviously has a much larger cockpit. It would be amazing if PMDG can maintain the same level of performance, or even better.

  5. You have a test in mind?

Nah, I was just throwing ideas out. I know there is a guy on YouTube that posts random 737 BITE tests- just something pretty cool to see a different aspect of the aircraft.

  6. They are not on the NGX though (accessible by CDU in real bird)

That's something I was wishing for in the NGX along with some BITE tests.

    Fixin' the big birds :)

    Aircraft mechanic ;)

Those Maintenance Pages are, as said above, very helpfull ti see the state of a system.

Does the 777 also have BITE tests like the 737 does? If it does, YouTube seems to be deprived of some videos of them... [nudge, nudge]

  7. Your BBJ has departed for the AVSIM library. While I did embed the three bump map files, the size of the livery manager files was 28MB. Never had a file that large. Not sure why. I changed the silver loop around the fuselage to points. Got tired of fighting the warpage...lol. The lower nose area is one I could work on forever and keep tweaking for days, but it looks good like it is. So I decided to get it uploaded tonight.

Steve, that is one of the best looking repaints I've ever seen in the NGX. It just fits the the thing like a glove.

    Great job!

  8. Seems a little unrelistic to pin the PAX against their upright tray tables on each landing. The quick tapping works ok. One question, are the rudder pedals variable? Or does it just send the on/off command like the key press. If they are varieable like real brakes then thats my ticket.

    Thanks

    They are variable.

I just had a thought though- aren't you using autobrakes? I've only had to use manual braking when I landed at Santos Dumont a little overweight.... But that's another story.

  9. The brakes are way to powerfull I notice in the NGX. Is there any cfg file edit I can make to reduce the effectiveness. What would be even better would be to have a few different assignable buttons to be able to brake normally, lightly and heavily. Unfortunately it is either no brakes or slam your face to the panel stop. Would one be able to do this with the full FSUIPC?

    Thanks!

Just like Steve said- brakes are spot on. They couldn't get any more realistic within FSX.

  10. How can you guys criticize a product that is not complete and still in development?

    Exactly!

I'm pretty positive that whatever PMDG makes will be far superior to any other developer, but we can't go around and start bashing developers about something that is not even released yet.

  11. So a small update.. I wont say anything about the release date but i have an upcoming session in an A320 simulator which is equipped with RAAS to test our system (and at the same time on a laptop with FSX) We want to make sure, that its as close as it can be.

Can't wait Tebin! You are doing a great job with this. Very professionally and quickly. I love that you are testing it in the real sim as well.

  12. PMDG NGX working fine even with IVAO and Vatsim on 3 screens with acceptable framerates. Today I tried to change the WideScreen panel to the VC high panel. I found out that the TCAS got stuck (red descend and climb lines on the PFD) on the ground and in flight. Testing TCAS gave no results. Everything else worked fine. FPS seemed higher than with the WideScreen panel.

Found no “logics” section in the VC panel and no TCAS. Is there anyone out there with a VC panel and a working TCAS?

Here is Ryan's post here on this issue: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/373172-pfd-tcas-red-lines-how-to-remove/#entry2360751
