What kind of frames are you getting at the time?

Curious- Are you talking about the default 744 or the PMDG 744?

The thing is that any runway that has an ILS in FSX is treated as if it is CATIII. If it has an ILS, you can autoland. You are correct about real-world procedures, but they don't completely apply here.

Need to have the correct runway elevation for the runway put in the HGS CP as well.... The length sure helps as well! Also need to be in AIII mode.

The OP's problem is different than mine. I've done all you've suggested already and still get an off center velocity vector and runway lines that are at a 15-20 degree angle to the runway in moderate wind conditions. This does not apply to the VC, as the HGS is working properly there.

Which HGS is this in? 2D full HGS view or VC HGS? I'm experiencing the same thing in the 2D HGS, but not in the VC.

I have it here as well.... Also noticed that when I'm climbing, on the climbout for example, when I engage HDG SEL, the plane jolts the 5 degrees, continues to turn, and also jolts (Vertically this time) as it compensates for the loss of lift from the bank by pulling up.

No one is seeing this as well?

Hey all, Not sure if it's been noticed yet or not, but the HGS only view in the 2D cockpit displays the Flight Path Vector and runway edge lines off center. The other day I was landing in KLAX with HGS active. In the VC, all was good and the flight path vector was planted right on the runway, along with correctly placed edge lines. In the 2D HGS, everything was pretty far off to the left side. All the static instrumentation was correctly placed, but the dynamic parts were not at all matching what was in the VC HGS.

Thanks for the replies guys!Slightly disappointed, but I'll have to live with it. After all, it's a slightly small thing missing from something that has nearly everything modeled! I love this bird!

Hey all, Not high on the list or anything, but I wondered if there were supposed to be wipers in the 2D? I always fly in the 2D because I have the worst FS computer on the planet...Anyway, I love the MD-11's 2D wipers so I didn't know if they were supposed to be there or if it was a bug.

Have you tried something other than winrar? I can't think why it wouldn't work, but it's worth a shot.

That is partially true. Windows 7 SP1 is a collection of all the updates released, along with some other improvements. The others that aren't past updates are behind-the-scenes sort of stuff and the average user wouldn't notice. To those who are having trouble with the large download sizes and not downloading: use windows update and make sure you have all previous updates installed. Windows update selectively downloads what is needed in SP1 where if you download it off the windows site, it's the whole thing whether you need it all or not. Hope this helped!Nick Crate
