I have PFPX so it sets my waypoints, SIDS and STARS automatically. I want to use the ATC in FSX but I don't know about how to put the waypoints in the fsx flight planner. I know you can drag the line to get the waypoint to be added but what if I don't know where the waypoints are on the map. I have been creating an IFR plan 50 miles out from the airport to have ATC give me vectors for landing but I would like to have ATC guide me like real life throughout the entire flight. I was flying from Tampa to Frankfurt Germany which makes it hard to put in waypoints in FSX when it is crossing the ocean. Any help or suggestions?

I lowered my autogen density to normal but left the scenery complexity at dense. I don't wan't to lose too much realism from ORBX. I gained about 2 FPS. I went ahead and did a test run with the default 737 at AGGH Somalian Islands and was getting 8-11 in the cockpit and about 11-25 when scanning around the aircraft. I simulated strong thunderstorms to try and re-create similar weather with overcast and REX soft clouds. I then changed to PMDG 737NGX and was getting 7-8 in the cockpit and 9-15 outside the aircraft.

No aerosoft addons except airbus x extended

I have my AMD Phenom X6 1100T clocked at 3.88 GHZ. I can't figure out why I am only getting 3-5 FPS at FlightBeam KSFO with ORBX NA and PNW scenery.I am also flying the PMDG 737NGX. I know that PMDG has some FPS drops but I wouldn't think it would be this low. I also have ASN. Here are my settings. I even downgraded from what ORBX said to use for settings. I also have the AffinityMask=14 and HIGHMEMFIX=1. I have FSX.cfg set to 2048 instead of 4096. http:// http:// I forgot to mention that I am flying at 25000 ft and getting 12 FPS with minimal clouds. When I flying out of SFO I was in a fog. I tried from KSEA yesterday with showers and was getting 2.3 FPS.

I installed some scenery and airports and had to zip the files to my desktop to install. After I have installed them can I delete the zipped files and folder on my desktop or do I have to keep them?

I clicked on the event logger and checked application and windows log and found nothing named FSX. Max cloud draw is 90. Maximum surface visibility set to 75 which is default. I leave everything on default.

I am wondering if I buy orbx alaska if I'm able to land on frozen rivers and lakes?

Where do I find the event log? I'm not sure about surface visibility but cloud draw is 60 O have a 1 gb card and 3.4 ghz processor. Not sure what's going on.

I can't figure out what is going on. I can complete flights when ASN is not running, but at some random point with ASN down in my toolbar I get a CTD. Ant solutions for this?

I am torn on getting a few different aircraft. I own the A2A C182 and I am still learning the aircraft and I own the RA Turbine Duke, but I keep seeing the A2A cherokee and the Turbine Duke V2 and I can't decide if I should purchase or not. I know it's personal preference, but I would like input if possible. Thank you

It's actually under manual weather. If you edit cloud details it has cloud thickness in feet.

I am wondering if anybody has Active Sky Next and can help me. I posted in their forum already and have heard nothing back. I read through the manual and find nothing really about how cloud thickness works. Is the higher the number, less visibility or vice versa? Can anybody help me with the difference in clouds 1/1 up to 8/8. Thanks.

I'm not sure if this is where to put this, if it's wrong I'm sorry. I am trying to figure out how to understand the prop pitch and mixture during climb and cruise. I'm flying a C182 skylane and I keep the throttle at full which puts the RIM at max which isn't good on the engine. I'm not familiar with the terminology. Does lean mean mixture all the way in? Please help if you can. Thank you.

I am wanting a quality F14 for FSX. I have heard amazing things about Dino's F14. Is the new aerosoft F14x worth it or should I get Dino's?

I have the saitek x 55 rhino and need help setting up split throttles. I tried assigning in FSUIPC. The only way I can get the throttles to work at all is by moving both in fsx controllers and using the default axis. Any help?

I have been doing that as well. I I was taxiing in windowed mode and decided to use the keyboard shortcut to go into full screen and it came back black screen with sound. I have the configuration file default so I'm not tweaking anything. Very frustrating. I feel like I've had to do more uninstalling all my fsx and payware stuff and reinstalling than actually flying. The random CT D'S. If it wasn't for the money I have invested in payware aircraft and scenery I probably wouldn't be flying FSX.

I have noticed now that not always but usually I will be in FSX and everything is fine. If I click on a different window or minimize the screen when I come back to FSX I have a black screen but can still hear ATC etc. There is no real number of how many times I change a window for it to occur. It just occurs randomly but then I have to close down and restart FSX. Anybody have any suggestions?

I dont know where to put this so im sorry if it is under the wrong category. I am learning International flights. I am in PFPX and my route was from EGLL to KTPA but it says ETOPS segment is outside covered area so I can't compute the flight. How do I set this up. Is there anyway around it until I figure it out? I was in a rush last night but couldn't figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

All I have connected is my saitek yoke, rudder pedals and my Saitek Rhino X55. I have tried disabling them in fsx and just using FSUIPC, but no change. Same thing. I can't figure out why it looks fine in calibration but in the cockpit it is jumping around.
