  1. With RC4 I have not had any problems flying into mountains. With PF I have terrain problems all the time when in mountains. Wayne
  2. Everything was working great with Rcv4. Now when I start the program I have to minimize the window to get a response from the program. For instance if I press key number 2 for the weather I have to minimize the window to get the program to respond. The same thing when I press number 1 for clearance. I did a complete reinstall of the program, but that has not corrected the problem. Thanks for your help, Wayne
  3. I just found this post. I know I am late, but I seem to be late for everything. There appears to be no posts since February. Has this ATC experiment ended? Wayne
  4. Kyle, do you have any pictures of the airport? Wayne
  5. Thanks, Joe, that sure helped and I am now getting the night textures to show. Also thanks to all who responded. Wayne
  6. Thanks for the comments, but I still cannot get it to work. The terminal building is the front view as that is the only side I can apply the night lights to. The night texture has LM and is in the texture file for the airport I am working on. When using MCX and clicking on the night texture item the LM file does not shown and I have to type the file into the box provided. Wayne
  7. I could use some help with night lighting of buildings. I used “Creating Night Textures for Scenery” by Al Heline. After making changes the building was saved in .jpg form. I then converted the file to DSS using the DXTbmp program. Used Model Coverter X to convert the buildings for FSX. Created model file and bgls and placed buildings using Airport Design Editor. The daytime building shows but when going to nighttime the building will appear but no night lighting. Any help you can provide would be much appreciated. I have been working on this for months and cannot come up with a solution. Thanks, Wayne
  8. Hi Ken, good to see you are still around and a hello to all you other FLYers. I drop into the forums at times to see what is going on. It would be good to get in touch with Steve Brown. We worked on a lot of projects together and I found him to be willing to work on anything some one asked of him. I do have some programs such as TM22, POD creator and Taxiway creator. Perhaps more on a hard drive that I removed from my system. If I can help let me know I will look for it. Ken, did you say that FlyII works with Windows 7? I have not tried to load the program, but I could give it a try. Thanks to all you FLYers and may all your wishes come true! Wayne Roberts
  9. Paul, SketchUp is probably the easiest of all the programs to use. You can find a lot of information at http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=26. There is a ModelConverterX program that will convert your files to .bgl You can find a lot of information on the program here: http://www.fsdeveloper.com/wiki/index.php?title=ModelConverterX. Wayne
  10. Try moving Add On Scenery to the top of the list. Wayne
  11. I am thinking of changing the case to a Cooler Master Sileo 500 as it is quiet. Will the ASUS P8Z68 Pro board fit in this case? Looking at the data for the board it is 12 inches wide and from some of the reviews there is room for an 11 1/2 inch board in the case. Or am I not reading the spec information correctly? Thanks,Wayne
  12. Everyone has been very helpful and that is what is so great about this forum. The purpose in the SSD was to put the OS on that drive. The FSX would go on a separate hard drive. That appears, from other posts, to be the best setup.I am not convinced that going to a 580 card is the best way. Convince me!!!! :Thinking:I am considering changing to a 2 x 4 GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3 ram.Thanks. Keep the suggestions coming.Wayne
  13. Building a computer for FSX. Your comments and suggestions on my choices would be appreciated:Cooler Master HAF X 942 Full Tower ASUS P8Z68 Pro motherboard I5-2500K Sandy Bridge CPU Gigabyte GEForce GTX 560 8G Mushkin Enhanced DDR3 1600MHz Ram Corsair H70 CPU Cooler Corsair AX850 power supply OCZ Vertex 3 120GB SATA III SSDThanks,Wayne
