  1. Seeing as I can't find anyone else to ask the question, I have to ask...hehe...For those of you who have it, has anyone found the pogo stick yet?? As for download times, 30 mins down, 15 to go according to Chrome (couldn't get my download manager to do it, most likely my fault but I'm fine with it). So it looks to me like the server is doing just fine.
  2. Very true. Good to know that the brand is still alive since the Microsoft flightsim platform is quickly ageing, with very little if any hope of some sort of continuation. It's impressive companies like PMDG and many other HQ dev's can keep interest in a product that, based on industry stereotypes, should have totally lost interest years ago. Then again, if FSX were to go down (which it doesn't look like that's happening any time soon), they'd probably shift their focus to X-Plane or P3d. All that to say...ignore the hype. It's not hard to skip over what other people are saying - the PMDG dev team has the PMDG logo in their avatars so it's pretty easy to tell when they chip in. In fact, just now I skipped over tens of posts in an instant to make sure I was right.
  3. As far as 777 flights to/from/within California within 3 hours (if that's what you're asking), you're out of luck; however, there is a 4 hour Delta flight from LAX to ATL in a 772LR, and United flies a 772 from SFO to ORD (but not every day of the week), which is about 3 hrs 45 mins. The majority of 777 flights are going to be over 5 hours or VERY high volume flights, with exception of multi-leg flights (e.g. a 777 may fly YSSY-LAX-SFO-LAX-YSSY) and as Luke mentioned repositioning flights. Airlines are always changing around which plane they will use on routes to keep up with maintenance and schedule changes. As for good SWA VA's, there are a few good ones from what I understand, but the best one I was a part of was http://www.swavirtual.com/wn/ . They are very much ahead of most VA's in technology and are a very active community. Should put your NGX to good use if you have it UAL, I couldn't tell you. But if you want both in the same place, www.airsource.us is a nice alternative. They've got pretty much every flight from every airline, updated about once a year per airline.
  4. yeah, they usually do that, giving no reason at all or the reason not being solid enough.
  5. awesome!! i'll submit the ticket now, but seeing as it's already 1225 am here and i need to be up for work at 715 i'd rather wait till tomorrow to work it out through remote access.
  6. Yeah I was, but guess what, looks like I'm not flying this thing till I can get a better graphics card. Which p****es me off. I thought I had an ATI HD Radeon 4350, which would meet the requirements-but no, it's a 3450, which has half the required memory. Thankfully I can upgrade to a card with 1 GB of memory with this CPU. Thanks for your patience. I'm not really happy about it; it still works I guess but I certainly won't get full performance out of it for awhile.
  7. Didn't work. Not even the the spelling in the manual of "HIMEMFIX=1" rather than "HIGHMEMFIX=1". is a system restart required?
  8. Sorry just registered, will look into that. And thanks, I will definitely try that. Now that I finally found the place in the manual with the info i need, lol. Will check back if problem persists
  9. I'm having a weird problem. I'm hoping it's not a memory issue; i have the required 512 mb of video memory (which i realize wasn't the *recommended* amount but still should be 100% functional), and here's whats happening: I get a skeleton visual of the 737. In other words, the model shows up, there's just no livery and you can see everything inside. I could technically move everything over to my laptop with an i5 processor and video card with 1 GB of memory, but that would be a pain with all the addons i have, don't you think? It's technically "possible" but I like having it on my bigger screen and FS really works well on it anyway. I'm hoping this is not memory-related. Really shouldn't be as only the textures do not load, everything still works, everything's still there-except the paint. I can still fly it until then, I just wouldn't get the full experience, especially if I went into spot mode. And yes, I did try repairing the install. No luck. Perhaps a system restart is required? Wasn't prompted, and I'd never know because I practically never shut down my PC. Any help?
