November 19, 201213 yr Hey guys I can't wait to fly the 777, but I was wondering, do you guys know any flights that depart/land from/in California, that are no longer than 3 hours max? I read there used to be one from San Diego (ksan) to San Fransisco (ksfo). And while I am posting this, anyone know the best Southwest virtual airline? There are quite a few! Thanks, Daniel Daniel E.
November 19, 201213 yr I think United do repositions from SFO to LAX. I think you could fly California border to border in under two hours with the 777! - Luke Pabari
November 19, 201213 yr Author Ok thanks! and yeah i am pretty sure all of california is under 3 hours i meant that it could also take off from california and land in Nevada or something like that. Anyone know good southwest and united virtual airlines as well? there are a bunch of duplicates. Daniel E.

Thanks, Daniel As far as 777 flights to/from/within California within 3 hours (if that's what you're asking), you're out of luck; however, there is a 4 hour Delta flight from LAX to ATL in a 772LR, and United flies a 772 from SFO to ORD (but not every day of the week), which is about 3 hrs 45 mins. The majority of 777 flights are going to be over 5 hours or VERY high volume flights, with exception of multi-leg flights (e.g. a 777 may fly YSSY-LAX-SFO-LAX-YSSY) and as Luke mentioned repositioning flights. Airlines are always changing around which plane they will use on routes to keep up with maintenance and schedule changes. As for good SWA VA's, there are a few good ones from what I understand, but the best one I was a part of was http://www.swavirtual.com/wn/ . They are very much ahead of most VA's in technology and are a very active community. Should put your NGX to good use if you have it UAL, I couldn't tell you. But if you want both in the same place, www.airsource.us is a nice alternative. They've got pretty much every flight from every airline, updated about once a year per airline. Austin McCall

Great VA but I'm not good enough of a pilot to join it, that exam is crazy LOL. I've learned everything from fsx and online fsx, so I don't know as much as i'd like. Need someone to teach me, I dont even fully understand the ngx but i can complete flights at least haha. Daniel E.
November 19, 201213 yr do you guys know any flights that depart/land from/in California, that are no longer than 3 hours max? November 19, 201213 yr I just found a United flight from KDEN to KSFO operated by a B777 on FlightAware. If you want really short wide-body flights, go to Asia or Europe! My daily flight from Taipei to Hong Kong in the B747 only takes about 1:20 (with ground operations it takes about 2:00, including time required setting up FSX). I am also interested in Heathrow, as it is located close to Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Munich, Paris, Vienna, and Zurich, etc., but possesses nice scenery. Unfortunately, the reception of Orbx England was less good than I expected.
November 19, 201213 yr I also found a few "imperfect" matches: KDFW–KLAX and KDFW–KSFO are served by both cargo B747s and B767s, so you could get away with flying a B777 for one day. KIAH–KLAX and KIAH–KSFO are served by B767s and . . . the B787! KLAX–MMMX is served by the A300 and the B767. KLAX–KMSP is served by the A330 and B767. Other large cities in the vicinity include Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Seattle, and Vancouver.

I'll defenetly fly some of those. and for anyone else I tried looking for flights too so please no one think I am just too lazy to do it myself Daniel E.

November 20, 201213 yr Just do an Lax-dxb ek flight then "divert" to Sacramento, SanFran etc..... Unrealistic! More realistic would probably be a delivery flight from Paine Field to KLAX or KSFO.

November 20, 201213 yr Just do an Lax-dxb ek flight then "divert" to Sacramento, SanFran etc..... Wouldn't you have to circle for a few hours just to jump enough fuel to avoid a VERY overweight landing? Ron Priever
