  1. It's a different version that's sold for USD 29.99 that only includes north america. Also you can buy the Global Upgrade which include 8 disks with nothing but scenery which is also sold for USD 29.99 on x-plane.com. My mistake I should of opted for the Global version like what you have.
  2. I know I know you're probaly thinking why didn't he just buy the Global Edition. Bought Regional Edition because I was a bit low on money but I should have waited. I just got my copy of the Global upgrade yesterday and installed it expecting the default aerosoft airports in europe but NOPE. I tried redownloading the 10.05r1 patch and still nothing and went back to 10.10r2 patch. So now I'm assuming I will have to buy the Global Edition just to get the default aerosoft airports I mean the 22 default airports. That's another 70 dollars just to get 22 airports *sigh* kinda makes me a bit angry, Oh well I guess.
  3. Trees on the runways quite annoying. Oh Hey Flyboy, there's a pretty good YSSY freeware airport at X-Pilot, also I dunno if you like U.S. Flying but....Wilmington International Airport KILM awesome airport at x-aviation $29.99 USD probably about $32 dollars for you. One other thing, if you buy the 777 Worldliner here on avsim you get free KLAX and KLGA (Thanks AVSIM for free airports you guys are awesome  ) Forgot, go checkout the Aerosoft aiports they provided in X-Plane 10 over in Europe like EGLL, there's about 10-15 airports they provided.
  4. That I totally understand Gorgan, I'm thinking it might be a year or so before you see there first aircraft and that's being realistic. It should be interesting come next year to see if anymore developers come aboard.
  5. Ok I understand LR is small compared to M$ but wouldn't you think it be reasonable to do the top 35-40 cities with real buildings kinda like FSX? Also not to repeat but I agree about airport selection needs changed. Finally, I again agree I would like to see auto gen buildings at the airports with gates.
  6. Considering they hired someone that knows X-Plane gives me good inclination they are. Edit: here's a copy I found on x-plane.org Quote PMDG Development for XPlane: ========================= As I mentioned in a previous post, we see PMDG developing on multiple platforms in the future. There are a number of business arguments for why this is a good idea- and it has been part of our long term strategic plan for about the past 18 months. As we transition between the NGX and the 777, we have decided that now is a good time to begin the process of developing our first project for the XPlane series. I have seen/read a bunch of hyperbole on this topic of late- so I wanted to make very clear that yes, PMDG is going to develop a product for Xplane10. It is going to be a conversion of either the BAe JS4100, the NGX or the [secret project: censored]. We are in the process of evaluating which of these projects will be the conversion project- and while we respect that many folks will have opinions on this topic- I want to make clear that our criteria for this selection has everything to do with easing our own learning process, and allowing us to experiment with the new platform, and unit sales/customer desires are secondary and probably tertiary... We have a fellow who has just joined the team who will be heading up this process for us. We will not be making any announcements about which project gets selected- just in case we change our mind and find it necessary to change direction once the conversion process has begun. Once we know for certain that the conversion project is going to make it to completion- we'll let you know which airplane will be first to depart in the XPlane product line! Personally I am quite excited about this process- as I find that Xplane has some features that absolutely tickle the developer in me. From a marketing perspective- Xplane gives me some concern- as any "healthy" platform for PMDG needs to have lots of scenery and airport designers at work- as well as "competing" designers because in order for PMDG to thrive in a marketplace- the marketplace itself needs to be thriving
  7. The white semi truck you saw in the video is a Volvo which is a nice truck (I use to drive trucks)
  8. Really liked the song to the Soaring video, nice work.
  9. The scenery is being worked on and should be out with 10.20 when it goes 64-bit but you would have known that if you read Ben's blog. The new GUI is actually much better then it was and I like it, kind of resemble FSX in a way. ATC in FSX likes to route you into a mountain or into another plane when landing, ATC does need work in XPX I think we all know that. So the stuff is being worked on just be patient and enjoy x-plane for what it is.
  10. I have a Radeon XTX 6770 I don't have too many problems with X-Plane 10 I have most of the rendering settings cranked up and getting 25-30fps even in Seattle.
  11. Even for me it still feels weird but the landscape and night lighting and flight models make up for the weirdness. The new UI is very nice and the weather is amazing, I been having a hard time flying in FSX now. I also see what everyone has been saying that FSX "feels like you're flying on rails". But anyways back on topic, I could see PMDG doing the 747 for XPX which would be awesome. It's good to see they are seeing the light.
  12. Rather see the woodpigeon.
  13. The VA I fly for allows saving flights. It works for me I rather be able to save a flight and finish it later, not very many VA's allow that. No No, it's best to load up the default aircraft I always start from the rwy I took off from then go to flights, load it and unpause and off you go.
  14. KLAX-YSSY, KLAX-EGLL, EGLL-RJAA, KJFK-OMDB and I dunno if this is possible but EGLL-YSSY.
  15. I don't see PMDG doing a airbus in the near future when there's a hand full of other developers designing airbusses. That be like PMDG doing a 757 when there's already two of them out there that are pretty good. Or Apple trying to create a video game console or PMDG creating there own flightsim...you see where I'm getting at? it isn't going to happen. Frankly they have there hands full for the next 24 months from what it seems like.
