Ok, so after a couple of days i have to say i managed to balance at the best of abilities FSX:Steam Ed. Here is what i learned: 1) HIGHMEMFIX tweak is hardcoded, so no need for it. 2) AffinityMask. As i use Active Sky 16 and it asks for it so i decided to use it. 3) Bufferpools i really did not mess with it, maybe i will in the next days. 4) I lowered texture resolution from 4096 to 2048. So, from 4k to 2k. Makes difference if you use payware sceneries/aircrafts etc. 5) Texture_bandwidth_mult from 160 to 40. 6) Also, i kinda played a bit with sliders in graphics settings inside FSX and toned some of them slighty down. 7) I applied almost all the Nvidia Profile Inspector tweaks from Kostas. I left FPS to unlimited. Now, out of the box FSX:SE is not looking half bad, but with Kostas tweaks looks even better. 😎 If you want to monitor VAS in real time with FSUIPC (free version) go to FSUIPC->Logging. Type on the first square "024C" and select "U32" on the square next to it. Now, on the bottom side, check "Window" option. The VAS remaining will now be visible on the upper left corner of FSX. THIS WORKS ONLY with FSX in windowed mode. So in conclusion i made a test: With Aerosoft Airbus, Vpilot, ActiveSky16, Orbx products, Rex TD with Soft Clouds, Aerosoft LFPG, Chaseplane i get 30-35fps on ground and during taxi and take off. Hello, I wanted to modify and update some airports to "modern" days with ADE. However, i cannot seem to use ADE with FSX:SE. From my understanding it is missing the SDK? Do i need to download something more? Has anyone tried ADE with FSX:SE? Or is there another software you use to modify sceneries? Help is greatly appreciated! Cheers

Hello, As i said on another post, i came back to FSX:Steam after a long long long time... As i am finishing the addons setup, i stumbled across a problem with Vatsim! Last time i was on FSX, Vatsim had Ivao_MTL. Now, from my understanding they stopped with Ivao_MTL due to conflict? So, my question is, nowdays how can i get a .vmr file to fly on Vatsim with FSX:Steam? Is there another way? Cheers, thanks for your time!

However, i will try to play a bit with BP=0 and the ForceWindowedVSync=1 settings to see what it can do. Because if i remember correctly this specific combo had amazing smoothness. Hello everyone, After installing P3d and FS9 i wanted to go back to FSX. I still have the OG FSX but decided to go for FSX:SE. A couple of questions if i may... 1) Should i go for the tweaks like the old times in OG FSX (HIGHMEMFIX,Bufferpools,AffinityMask etc etc) in FSX:SE? 2) Do i need to tweak (again like the old times) Nvidia Inspector? 3) Should i go for DX10 or not? Hello, After a long time, i wanted to go back to FS9. I am tired of the other more recent simulators (due to constant updating and other issues). I recently set up P3D and now i need FS9 in my life. I do not mind payware of course for the suggestions below. My questions are the following: 1)Will this work in Windows 10/11? 2)Which Airbus do you reccomend? I exclusively fly the Airbus family. Need VC ofc 3)What to use for weather engine? 4)For Weather textures REX? or others? 5)Landclass and mesh? Does ORBX work with FS9? 6)FSUIPC is a must have i guess 7)I only fly offline, so i need an AI traffic software with recent flightplans. I remember at the time TTools correct? Does it still work or? AIFP? 8)Any good ATC programs? 9)Are there any tweaks needed to the .CFG ? 10) For camera ? Active cam? or others? 11) Does FS9 have GSX or something similar? yes. i think i will be fine. saw some videos and apparently you can set the throttle in question through either FsLabs/Aerosoft airbus ingame mcdu. i will try it and if i cannot do it i will post again i guess

Wow thanks very much all of you for your replies! Well, as you all pointed out indeed my GPU needs to be replaced. Right now i am looking at the GTX 780 3Gb and the GTX 770 4Gb. The pricing is not that much of a difference here where i live but i kinda think that the 780 performs better so i will probably end up going for that. Thanks again for your responses. Cheers

Although i must say that after so many years of Fsx i feel scared of changing... Anyway, i was wondering since X-Plane 10 is more recent as a software what changes should i need in my rig in order to simulate that amazing HDR effect that we all have seen in some famous video? Hello everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying their vacation or at least trying to. I wanted to ask...as for now, i have built a FSX-exsclusive PC. Nothing else in there. Only my beloved FSX. So, i was thinking, since my laptop cannot handle latest games, to install them in the FSX PC but i am afraid of losing performance in the long run. Thing i do not want to because it took me 3 years to build my FSX PC. My question is... 1) Will installing other games (mostly online MMORPG games) in the same PC as FSX decrease performance in the long run? Hello once again! I have another question for you guys. I am really sorry to keep bothering you but i discovered this voxatc not long time ago and just know i am giving it a go. So, this time my problem is that while i am at an add on airport for example Heraklion X, AI traffic is parked where it should not be. For example, in military parking positions and is far from the standard commercial parking spots. In addition, i get some problems when vox atc handles my taxi to active runways. I get instructions to taxi via impossible taxi routes. Now, i know that this has been discussed before and some information were given to search the scenery folder for faulty .bgl or 2 afcads. In addition, someone told to use ADE to correct parking position and stuff. Now, i have used ADE before but how can i tell which .bgl or afcad or i don't know what is faulty? Here is my scenery folder for Heralkion X...from here on what should i do?
