Come on guys - denying the obvious not very helpfull. Obviously he was talking about the lack of airport buildings besides the default airport (and maybe LOWI in case it will be ported over from XP9). It is not surprising that a company with just a few employees lacks the manpower to create airports for the whole world. However there are a few things to consider:- they said they will try to auto-populate empty airports- if i remember correctly Tom said that one of his next tasks once XP10 is released might be to create some additional airports (not sure where I read it though)- Once the new WordEditor is out it will be quite ease to create airports with buildings and decoration of a reasonable quality. Users can create and submit airports and they will be distributed as updates. I bet that will happen very fast if it is indeed as easy as it sounds. So empty airports may only be a problem for the first months after release. So yes - initially most airports will be empty or only populated by random airport buildings. There is light on the horizon however ... -

Just out of curiosity I tried to match the autogen picture to a similar view in google earthTerrain and roads are pretty accurate. What seems a bit off are the spots where there are no "real" houses in real life (parking lots, sports field and so on) - in X-Plane those spots are just lawn. But overall I would say it's pretty neat.

You should keep two things in mind when judging these screenshots: First: as already mentioned above - they are work in progress screenshots that don't show all improvements combinedSecond: many people seem to compare standard X-Plane scenery and aircraft to the best addons available for FSX like "but REX-Clounds look better" or "That is nowhere near OrbX". If anything you should compare them to standard FSX. And if MS Flight scenery will cover the whole planet I bet it wont have the quality of the Hawai screenshots shown so far. I'm glad to finally see at least some screenshots of XP10. Compared to XP9 this is definitely a huge improvement. Hopefully we will see more screenshots soon. What I would like to know is: is the look of trees themselves improved in XP10 or only tree placement? Because - honestly - the trees in XP9 do not look that great.
