BigT-65

Until recently everything was fine with my FA-18e Superbug. A few days ago it started giving me a fatal error in FSX and would shut down and restart FSX. I checked into the error and discovered that the conflict was with VRS_CHI.GAU. What happens is this, when I start the engines on the plane as soon as the gauges come on I get the fatal error and restart. I have tried reinstalling the Superbug and also FSUIPC4 but this does not solve the problem. The error file is shown below. Does anyone know what's going on or how to fix it? That was it. I don't know what happened to the one that was in there, but sure enough it was gone. So I put it back and I'm in business.Thanks for your help.

Before all the java and catapult problems started with aicarriers2 (which I have now gotten fixed) I was getting a choice of many more aircraft carrier configurations, like full decks, launch configurations, etc. Now I don't have all those just two or three pages. They are all devoid of other jets and the most complex configuration is 2 carriers and 3 or 4 other boats. What do you suppose happened to all the others?

I am not so sure my problem is the COP3 gauge. What is this gauge? and what does FSUIPC stand for? I am using the FSX FA-18 from acceleration and it should have everything in it. I am attaching a screen shot of the plane on the deck lined up with the catapult and also one of the panel. Let me know what you think.

Thanks for your replys.I do have acceleration and I have lined up perfectly with the shuttle and moved back and forth trying to find the right spot. Still no go. I will try the COP3 gauge and see if that helps. I'll let you know.

OK, I finally got aicarriers and aicarriers2 installed and working. I also got the java error fixed. The only problem I have now is that the catapult is not working. Shift+U, shift+I and shift+spacebar do nothing. I can get the launch bar down with the switch inside the cockpit but still the shift+I does not connect it to the catapult. All of this is also true if I use the Nimitz and fly the FSX carrier missions.Does anyone have any ideas about this. I am getting pretty good at landing on the carrier, I sure would like to get the cataput working.Please help

I got AICarriers installed and it was working at least partially. After using it for a couple of days when I go to start aicarriers.exe I get this messageDoes anyone know what this means? I have tried uninstalling and re-installing but this has not made any difference.Also when it was working I could not get most of the carrier configurations on the menu list to show up. It's like it was not completely installed.Any help will be greatly appreciated,Thanks

OK, I got the carrier installed. I got a couple of landings in before I had a new problem. When I go to start AICarriers.exe I get this message.Does anyone know what this means. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing, but I am still getting the same message.

I have downloaded USS_Nimitz_Ike_version2.zipThis is what was in the zip fileEffects, Simobjects and Sound folders17 jpg picturescvn_68_69.cfgfile_id.dizReadme.txtThere was no installation file, no AICarriers Installation folder and I don't know where the conf.d folder is to put the cvn_68_69.cfg file into.Also I am assuming that I would put the individual files inside the Effects, Simobjects and Sound folders into the Effects, Simobjects and Sound folders already existing in the FSX main folder.Thanks for your help. I want to get this running because I bought Flight Deck 6 and can't get it to work and get get in touch with their support so I am going to try AICarriers.Thanks

I do have an Nvidia card. It's a GTX 285. I'll take a look at the inspector. Thanks for your reply.

I downloaded the external FPS Limiter and unzipped it, double clicked on the FPS Limiter.exe file and saw a flash of what looked like a command prompt screen. It does not stay on. My file manager says it is running but I don't know for sure and I am not able to set any settings. Anyone got any ideas about what is going on? While running FSX with internal FPS set to unlimited and flying the FPS are running in the 50s to 60s and are not steady.
