  1. Thanks a lot.I am reading...........What a fantastic job also Risager has done. 196 pages - PMDG must be happy.RegardsCarl Michael
  2. Congratulations Jeroen. Both with the list and with your succesfull flight.I must read Tom Risager's tutorial. As you say: Doing it right is one thing - knowing why is quite another. I have seen it somewhere, but could you quickly give the link to Tom Risager's tutorial pls.Even before I got the PMDG 737, I was on a tour around the globe (in FSX 737), often doing 2 or more stops in on one evening. Now I am on my way south along the west coast of Panama and next time I stop for the night I will secure the plane and hope for the best............Now I will soon stop flying for a while and take a vacation to Morzine in France - by car.RegardsCarl Michael
  3. It simply must be possible! I have, so far, narrowed down the problem to having the yaw damper engaging after having set the IRS.May be - I shall test that - IRS need to be on "Align" while initiating the FMC (Pos Init) and only then be set to NAV. It is probably all in the manuals, but just the size of those make me turn away ;-) As I said "trial and error".And you are quite right: We don't need to secure the aircraft, but now it has become some sort of a sport to be able to leave the plane secured after a days work - and be able to come back the next day and bring it to proper life once more.Once again: YOU LIST IS GREAT!RegardsCarl Michael
  4. Jeroen,I think we are many who highly appreciate all your work - its great. But it seems that Bill has the same problem as I: Having followed your "secure" and then starting up again, the DUs do not come up with any data (except for the central with engine data).I simply wonder what I do wrong or don't do????I will do some intensive "trial and error" (mainly error I am afraid) to try to solve the problem. There must be one tiny switch............But then again, I managed to start both engines - setting the bleed valves as previously described - I know: I promissed not to mention bleed valves any more, but you will forgive me :pardon:RegardsCarl Michael
  5. No hurry. As of this afternoon I am away from my PC for a couple of days :(
  6. Dear Jeroen,I am also going horizontal now. But I am looking forwards to your trying the list from D&C after your own "SECURE".And when I tried to reverse, I really tried to do it in the right way - i.e. not directly reversing, but going backwards "as appropriate".Talk again tomorrow - after I download v.5.......Carl Michael
  7. Congratulations Gavin.I Just wish that had such dove for that purpose. Envious - not at all ;-)...................I will have sto stick with my old stick (X52) for a while yet - fu.......RegardsCarl Michael
  8. And look at the Airbus - there is a stick for a liner.............RegardsCarl Michael
  9. Jeroen,Your list the perfect tool for many of us - and never mind the name ;-). And as such should not be changed into anything else!I have now taken your version 4 and made it .htm (using the programme you kindly mentioned). It does look fine. But I do have a problem: When I follow your list´s SHUTDOWN procedure and SECURE procedure, all ends fine. But when I then take it from the start, something is missing. It is perhaps not missing in relation to the loaded C&D stage, but try yourself to "secure" and then start at the top of your list. And pls. tell me if I am completely wrong.I have another problem, not actually concerning the list, but when I try to "reverse" the SECURE and SHUTDOWN, my DUs won't come to real life. They are lit up but with no real content. And I can't get the yaw damper o stay ON. Any help/comment?RegardsCarl Michael
  10. It all comes down to taste, but I find it more realistic to fly a liner with a joystick than to fly a fighter with a yoke.RegardsCarl Michael
  11. Steve,Go for the "HOG"! You can fly a 737 with a stick - but you can't fly an A10 with a yoke.Remember though that you will need a set of pedals to go with the "HOG".-RegardsCarl MichaelSticking to the head line "what to choose", I here by dare to clutter to topic by asking the following:Not being quite erady to fly on line, I would like to hear recommendations for the best add on ATC?????RegardsCarl Michael
  12. Jeroen,You have done a great job and I won't argue further about the bleed valves :wink:One page per phase was what I meant - sorry.RegardsCarl Michael
  13. I definitely like the "boxed" version best. Now, with the number of versions, could you pls. write the version number in the title? And back to the question of bleed valves: "PACKS" are open, engines won't start.I belive that the instruction should be: Close "PACKS" - Open "APU" - Close "RIGHT ENGINE" - Open "LEFT ENGINE" - Start left engine - Close "LEFT ENGINE" - Open "RIGHT ENGINE" - Start right engine - Set "PACKS" to Auto - Open "LEFT ENGINE" - Close "APU" (Shut down APU)If you like to include this or not is your call.Anyhow: GREAT JOB!RegardsCarl MichaelEDIT: One page per step would definitely be a nice touch.EDIT2: How exactly do you convert your ".doc" to ".htm"??
  14. Hej Tom,"ALT" will bring up the FSX menu and unde "aircraft" you find the kneeboard.RegardsCarl Michael
  15. Congratulations both of you!!!Only thing is that it definitely looks better in Arial 10.RegardsCarl Michael
