  1. Right Alain !! .. just when I was starting to enjoy myself!Thin skinned - true theres not a lot of fat on my muscle .Sensitive - maybe, sounds better than being unsensitive. lol.Moving on now ...( pity these sort of posts are always entertaining reading )
  2. Good grief !!IT IS New Zealand Scenery ..full stop. Sorry if happens to be in mountains . Its about making a picture and ,with luck, one that wins .The original comment that sparked this is shot down by yourself Ron .I see no need to continue this conversation ,its going nowhere , except to say , to the entrants to the competition that I at least appreciate the time and effort it takes to get that picture your after out of your flying sim unedited.
  3. Thats because you dont know what you are looking at . The requirement for entry ,as you say correctly, is New Zealand therefore every shot in the competition contains New Zealand scenery . Whether you own it or not let me tell you New Zealand has beaches , farms , forest , cities and even mountains. Some of these look surprisingly similar to other towns farms in other countries - strange isnt it .Your comment is offensive not only to me but others that entered .Your response is negative too. For your information , if you took the time to properly look at the screen shot you will notice vegatation that you will only see in NZSI at this piont. In fact if you took the time to look at a lot of the shots in the competition and try to replicate yourself you may change your mind about their "worth ". Say what do your screenshots look like ?
  4. Now thats one thing I didnt think about - paying again for DX11 ....hmmm ..a painful thought , maybe I should belt tighten right now.
  5. Well, i was going to wait for v2 but found myself jumpimg at the $50. For me its a no brainer migrating to P3D but I couldnt get my head around a monthly bill . I hope they do not charge for v2 but if they do I will pay .Its like this - how real can we get . P3D will be constantly upgraded , you have devs such as A2A surging ahead with new sensations . Aircraft are getting quite good . We have to wait to see what REX does with its next update. How far can we go. For me, there will be a time when I dont have to upgrade and it seems to be on the horizon now ...that is until holographic simming comes in !!Cheers... Alan
  6. I think the reason behind the sbsl for the whole of aus and the two airpots must be because you can get Aus on a disk with a free airport . It would be a bit rough charging five licences for one disk i.e. four regions and an airport. Ymav and Ysch have been subjects of free give aways as you know.
  7. Ok Dave , I'll try and get in touch with Frank about his sim build .
  8. ...it cracks me up ..hahaha !! ..(Rons Avatar that is )
  9. If you can't enter the screen shot comp at Orbx there is that worthwhile one still happening over at the Milviz forum . Not sure when it closes and the prize is your choice of a model of theirs . I believe they have an older model 737 in the works and have a secret 4 military models in the pipe line too , not to mention the upcoming Baron. I have all of the models to date and each one stays in the hanger. Top shelf.Im not affiliated with Milviz in any way just a huge fan. The competition has been running for a couple of weeks -something like that, and it seems to me it needs more entries. Go for it !!Avatar inspired by the shade fad !!
  10. Yeah Dave ,what drugs are you using . These shots and paint are good !Cheers ..alan2
  11. Hey Hendo how are you . Are you going to do any more scenery ? ( make it payware )
  12. @ ptisinge......its the loss of a of a once great community . Going back a couple of years it was great and a few laughs to boot . Always worth popping in and talking about whats new or the latest tweek etc with other enthusiasts . Why destroy it ? (assume commercial reasons but it makes no sense to me)People first. Hellfire, about people with mega posts.....some peoples hobby is just taking screenshots, others developing and some just flying ..whatever turns you on in this HOBBY . High post counts is inevitable if you have been have been visiting for years and involved with one or more aspects of this hobby.alan2
  13. The best scenery , maybe, but take a look at this thread over at A2A ...looks pretty good to me . A bit more developement from these guys and who knows ...http://www.a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=28785Cheers alan2
  14. I may be wrong here but...as far as self respecting developers leaving and branching out on their own - I seem to remember that part of the developement process /techniques are under patent.Something in the back of my mind, which I am not clear about atm, tells me there is something along these lines in place.Cheers ...alan2
