  1. @majuh and My toolkit installs always do complete and give me a flyable World. However, I do get hundreds of errors and warnings. Towards the end I always get the message "If this addon, is disabled, other associated addons will be disabled also. Continue?" This is immediately followed by "Failed to completely uninstall addon. Some files may have been uninstalled properly. The process cannot access the file "FSXWorldAutogen0.pak" because it is being used by another process." The only process running is the conversion. I do a reboot before starting the conversion.
  2. Loaded 1.1.12. Seemed to load OK, but no taxiway markers for me.
  3. When the buildings do show up, they appear to be "special" buildings that are not part of the general class of hangars etc.
  4. It's more fun flying low (by the rules) and finding creative ways to avoid the FBI plane. However, if you keep it high, around 15K they never see you. Some pilots, early on, racked up some huge XP with this trick.
  5. I also want to thank you guys for all your efforts to improve the Flight experience for our community. I am anxious to load up this new version and give it a fly!
  6. Successfully uninstalled and reinstalled 1.1.9. Beta. I believe I am seeing more foliage in the World, but were the runway markers supposed to show up now? I have not seen them yet.
  7. It sounds like the problem where some of the original 350 were not showing up, has been fixed now? If there are no more "aerocache" related issues (other than time and resources) I would be glad to push out some more. I have some new ones from the World I could publish. Thanks.
  8. That is a significant improvement, and would be another great uplift for Flight !
  9. In the mean time, I'm enjoying the World in Flight. Sometimes I will open up the same airport or location in FSX just to compare and see what's missing. Despite some missing objects, I just think the World looks so much better in Flight. Thanks again guys.
  10. @HiFlyer Drop in on the FSDeveloper forum every once in a while to hear what's being worked on.
  11. I was wondering if we were going to get those. I've checked at least a hundred job boards and have never seen one. Good to hear!
  12. My conversion "completed successfully" and is working OK. Zero crashes or hangs. However, it threw off a ton of conversion error messages during the run. Is it OK to simply rerun the conversion on top of a previous conversion? Perhaps it will convert more objects than it did the first time? A lot of the converted airports seem sparse.
  13. Doesn't it make sense that Dovetail would be looking to hire some people from the MS Flight dev team to help get this product out the door sooner?
  14. BTW: Ignore what I said about "Unique Airport Count" It's working on the converted FSX airports just fine. As was mentioned earlier, some of the airports in the Alaska-Canadian border zone have some unusual graphics. But if you want a real landing challenge, try CEK2 - Braeburn, which is in a deep canyon! I don't know if anyone is interested in fine tuning this area any more. I'm just glad it's there. Thanks.
  15. Using BoundaryFixes version 0.0.0.4 has been interesting. Thanks rhumba! I am almost finished revisiting all 29 "Canadian Border" airports that I found back in 2012. Almost all 29 of them now have runways and the navigation aids if they were there. There are a few that when you land on them, your "unique airports" count does not go up. CYZW - Teslin and CFA5 - Carcross are 2 that don't. I don't know why that is. One nice surprise is how many of these 29 border airports now have Job Boards. I thought someone said those are not currently available. Thanks again, Tom
  16. Hey Luis, Have been missing your humorous jibs and jabs on this forum. Welcome back!
  17. Thanks Steve. With all the other "clean up / enhancement " tasks ahead, this one is relatively minor. Just getting us to where we can all fly the World in Flight is huge.
  18. I noticed the same thing. I was hoping all those BC and Yukon airports bordering Alaska would now be the FSX version. If you go in a little further from the border, the FSX airports do kick in. I am flying north from Bella Coola, BC to the Arctic along this edge to see how this overlap works.
  19. Yes! Did a fresh FSX install from Steam, ($25 later) and voila! It's a whole new game. I landed at a couple of local airports and saw my "unique airport" stat go up to 732. I was stuck at 730 for a long time, having landed at all the airports and seaplane bases in AK and HI. This really opens things up for Flight. New Aerocache locations, and hopefully new missions too. Good job Stonelance!
  20. You are right Steve, but I wanted to do a clean FSX reinstall anyway. Thanks.
  21. My FSX to Flight scenery conversion battles continue. I currently have 1.1.6 installed which I had hoped would solve my "Conversion failed. Could not find part of path ...." problem. I discovered that I had FSX installed on my F: drive which probably accounted for problems finding the scenery. Here's where I made it worse: I uninstalled FSX to do a clean install onto my C: drive. However, my old FSX Deluxe Box Edition cd's are no longer readable! I have a "Fry's run" in my future to buy a new one. Arrrrgh!
  22. With 1.1.4 I am getting the "Conversion failed, cannot find part of path "FSX_Base\FSX World\scenery" too. I made the blank folders under Temp, as suggested by Majuh. For me it did not work. It complained that the folder was not empty. Catch 22 !
