  1. You're absolutely right! It just so happened that the Majestic Software People released a new patch for V3.3.5 of P3D. I overlooked that fact so I am the one to blame. Now I am going to try for the first time FS2Crew! Thank you for your reply. R. George Balzaretti
  2. I just upgraded to P3D v3.3 and V2.0 of FS2Crew Majestic Dash 8. Did you get the following condition "This Gauge Version must be used under Prepar3D V3.2"? And if you did, how did you fix that? George
  3. Thank you Jim! I'll give a try tonight when I get home... Warm regards, R. George Balzaretti
  4. Hi everyone: Has anyone experienced crashes when trying to load this plane into the scenario? However, If you able to get it flying, P3D will crash at any point. I did a clean installation of P3D V3.2 along with the Carenado PA46 Malibu. No problems were shown during the installation. Tried to contact Carenado Support but it is worthless, no one would get back to me. Also, tried Carenado's support patches area and none seem to be available for this P3D model (only one for FSX and it is related to something else). Any ideas that may help out...I would really hate to ditch this fantastic model just because it makes P3D crash at start up! Thanks for you help, R. George Balzaretti
  5. Sorry but couldn't find the zip file. What am I doing wrong? Could you direct me to it please? Many Thanks, George
  6. The best aircraft I ever own are the RealAir Turbine DUKE (Turbine) and the DUKE B60 (piston). I have them for quite a while and put over 350 real hours between the 2 of them so far. Their Physics are incredible good and accurate. They respond to weight issues, weather conditions, with almost 100% level of accuracy. I never run them in FSX. I started them in P3D v1.4 back then with the help of the ESTONIA MIGRATION TOOL and they continue running today in my P3D v2.3. If you want a high standard airplane, undoubtedly the DUKE's are the Best! My Hat off to the RealAIr Simulation people. George
  7. My Carenado Phenom 100 is awesome...! one problem thou, it generates zero FPS just by sitting in an empty airport even with all add-on's turned off. After finishing loading in the SIM and in less than a minute, it begins dropping frames like crazy until it reaches down to zero, rendering the SIM practically inoperative. I read some similar stories with the Phenom 100 and none of them offered a fixing or a solution for that matter. So I open a ticket with Carenado Support but haven't heard from them yet! Have any of you experimented with the Phenom 100 so far? Do you know if there is a fixing or patching available for this problem? I am running P3D v2.3 with other Carenado products and they all runs flawless to say the least! Thank you for reading, R. George Balzaretti
  8. Thank you Stephen. I will follow your guide. One more thing thou, what does CBs stand for? I am not familiar with it.
  9. Before I installed OpusFSX, I used to run REX with its weather engine on and, during stormy weather, realistic sounds of thunder and lighting were coming up very nicely. However, after installing Opus, I noticed that no sounds do ever come up at all. Since I am no longer using REX, (had disable the weather engine and only use the cloud textures), I would like to know how to get such sounds. I looked in options but could not find clues as far as sound was concerned. Could anyone help me with this issue? Many thanks, George - Prepar3d v1.4 - OpusFSX3.39.0 Beta
  10. Dear Jim: Thank you for your thorough explanation. I was not aware that adding sceneries could slow down the system that bad, even if one does not fly the area in question. I thought it was the hard drive getting busier, as one kept putting more scenery data into it. Now I know what’s really the cause the problem! I have followed your recommendation and have downloaded “SceneryConfigEditor”. I will see how it can improve things in the areas of VAS and FPS. On another note, some folks are saying that P3D V2.0 will correct the VAS limitation problems we are experiencing nowadays in both FSX and P3d. I am sure that the guys at Lockheed Martin’s are more than aware of this limitation and will eventually fix this along with many other things, like ATC, accordingly. My only concern is if v2.0 will continue to be compatible with most of my FSX and P3d add-ons and my virtual hangar. One of my favorite planes is the RealAIr Turbine Duke. I read once in one forum, that the RealAir folks will not release any version for P3D. The Estonia Migration Tool made it possible for me to fly it in P3d. Once again, thank you very much for your response. Warm regards, R. George Balzaretti
  11. Hello everyone, I need your input since I am very puzzled. I’m an IT guy and I believe I have enough information to deal with software/hardware issues and be able to solve most problems and conditions. But, this one is for Sherlock Holmes! In a brand new installation of Prepar3D and without any add-ons at all, I fly one of P3D stock planes, Mooney Acclaim, to from a nearby airport distance to JFK. At about 20 miles distance from touchdown, the FPS begins to drop dramatically, to the point of having the system display the OOM condition. As far as I can make up, this actually happens in this area and some of the west coast areas like Seattle. In other areas, like Florida, my FPS goes between 38 to 70.The CFG file is left alone to default values and yet the rendering socks to a point of frustration, if you know what I mean. The funny thing is that tweaking prepard3d.cfg and adding add-ons like MegaScenery Earth 2.0 – New York, and Aerosoft Manhattan X, do not change conditions to worse. The shown FPS continuous to be the same. My system has one X79 Extreme4 I7 system with 16 Gigs of RAM and one GeForce GTX760 overclocked card, 2 Gigs of RAM, which is also DirectX 11 capable. What do you think is causing this condition around these areas? Also, is there a way to manage this at all? I'll appreciate any input you can give. Thank you for your help, George
  12. Hi all: I'm in the market to purchase the BAe Jetstream 4100 turboprop airplane. Before I do that, I would like to know if there is any difference between the AEROSOFT BAe JS4100 with the one from PMDG eCommerce System? Please let me know. Thanks, George
