  1. Why is the aerocache star not showing up? I've been there within a range of two miles, there was no star. How close do we have to be to get it?
  2. Just been there, but there's no aerocache showing. Whats wrong?
  3. You guys are awesome! I discovered two airstrips, that are in Flight but not in PlanG: Carl's Landing (AK19) and Birch Creek Landing (51AK) They're to find between Talkeetna (PATK) and Montana Creek (21AK).
  4. @all Plan-G users: So don't forget to donate! :good:
  5. This did the trick! OMG it works! I just did a flight from Bethel PABE to King Salmon PAKN. I planned a route which led me gently through the valleys of the Kuskokwim Mountains (I guess). Just great! Me and my passengers had an impressive view and as we landed just minutes before the sun went down at this beautiful autumn evening, I got my 'happy passengers' award! (Well, I don't blame the flight planning for this, but who knows... B) ) Thanks again!
  6. The [Plans] is essential then? Have to try that. All other questions: yes. I do have GMap and its .ini on the desktop, shouldn't be a problem, though. I saved it as FS9-plan (file.pln). So I can de-install FS9 when thr database is done and saved? Thanks a lot man, you are a great help!
  7. @Jeroen: OK, your question gave me the hint. I installed FS9 and could Plan-G convince to load the data. I even managed to make some sort of a flight plan (so I think). I saved it, but GMap refuses to load it (error: plansfolder not set up). Yes, I DID set up plansfolder in the fswidgetsgmap.ini-file, still won't work. I guess I have to ask the people from fswidgets, unless you might know what's wrong  Thanks a heap anyway!
  8. I do have FS2004 (which I believe is FS9), but I don't have installed it on my actual PC.
  9. @Jeroen: I am very thankful for your effort here to tell and show us about GMap. This is clearly a major expansion for MS Flight to make it more real. But I see you have this neat purple line on your GMap and you wrote: And here's my question: How do yo do this? I have also downloaded Plan-G but I just don't get it how to create a flight plan, let alone how to load it in GMap. Can you give me any advice here? My great goal is to sign in for a job at any airport, have the flight planned on GMap and getting rid of the destination marker in Flight. So I have to find my way on my own. (I truly doubt that the pilots in the real world just follow a yellow dot outside their windscreen...) Your help is greatly appreciated!
  10. Thank you, Frank. One would think it is updated when you download the latest version of the TIR software. Now I'm ready to go to Alaska!
  11. I got my TrackIR today, installed it and - WOW! This is just great! Not only for the Stearman, I also like to fly the RV-6 a lot more now. TrackIR gives Flight a new dimension!
  12. I don't see any Microsoft Flight profile to select. Is it there?
  13. Sheesh... I just orderd a TrackIR set bofore I read this topic...
