"Prepare for takeoff! While exploring over 600,000 square miles of new scenery, 565 airports and 137 seaplane bases in the Land of the Midnight Sun, you’ll encounter new Gold Rushes, Challenge Courses and Landing Challenges. You’ll also receive a basic version of the Carbon Cub. Get ready to tackle the Alaskan wilderness, coming soon on Games for Windows—LIVE and Steam"

That makes me want to cry... I was really hoping for a cockpit on that one. I hope they have at least a deluxe version for purchase or something. Like an upgrade option. I MEAN THAT COCKPIT IS AS SIMPLE AS IT GETS! Why not model it and get some extra money out of it?

They simply cannot take a step forward without also taking one back.

The warbirds I could at least tolerate, as they have no modern purpose other than joyriding. But this is a slap in the face.

Oh no no no no no... PLEASE tell me that's a mistake!

There's no place like this place, so this must be the place.

NO, tell me it ain't so Joe. This is bad news to say the least. Prepare for a fire storm, I can feel the heat already. What are they thinking, or should I say smoking!

I can kinda understand it in some ways. Its a freebea in Alaska. If they keep the Alaska the same price, that sort of justifies cheaping out on the aircraft. If they charge MORE for Alaska, then I dont see the justification. If they have an upgrade from "standard" to "deluxe" I would take it in a heartbeat.

The thing is, the Cub has the most basic of basic cockpit. ITS NOT THAT HARD! I can model that thing in my sleep in a few weeks! I just cant see any justification for them NOT modeling the pit in this thing. If there is no pit option, I wont buy Alaska.

Simply put, if there is no pit for the Cub, I can no longer support Flight. I cant fly aircraft without a cockpit, and if Flight has no cockpits, then whats the point?

I've got a feeling that just about every single bit of goodwill they generated with the recent improvements just got flushed down the toilet.

It was in the back of my mind that this was possible, especially as the probable release date neared and we heard nothing about new planes. But I dismissed the thought that they would release planes without cockpits at this point. It simply couldn't be true: they could not possibly be that stupid.........

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

So besides the basic warbirds, has any new content been released? since Flight was released?

As far as I am concerned there has been zero new content since release. Alaska would be nice, but without a cockpit we will be flying the same planes? old.

Now that is a huge downer for sure, so sad to see this information.

I am thrilled by what they have done with the recent update, but if Alaska does not even have one new vc plane available, a lot of my excitement will go out the window...

So far from its release, there has been no aircraft released with cockpits.... Troubling news. Like I said, I wont buy Alaska without knowing they will release aircraft WITH cockpits. Im not going to invest in a game that wont invest in my hobby.

Well said! my thoughts exactly.

Yeah, we still have until Wednesday for an aircraft with a VC. I won’t be purchasing anything if they don’t implement an autopilot. If there is no love in this release, I will probably pull back from Flight until November 28th to give them time to work on this game. I am just getting frustrated hoping for stuff only to be disappointed.

The screenshots of Alaska look good. I see real potential in the game, but the frustration of not knowing what to expect is burning me out.

Well before we get too down, I think we should at least wait and see what is offered with the Alaska release. I am still maintaining hope in regards to a plane with a vc - and we really will not know until it is released.

Trying to keep my chin up here...

maybe they wanna sell the "pro" version as separate dlc..?

If they don't offer a deluxe version in the near future, I'm absolutely done with Flight.
