Sad sad news about our Carbon Cub

Featured Replies

If they don't offer a deluxe version in the near future, I'm absolutely done with Flight.

I would not go that far. They will get this stuff in. It will just take them some time.

Very sad to hear that. Here's hoping that there will be something even better in the release.

Thank you.

Until today, I believed that. Now I'm not so sure.

I can't understand why they don't offer a Basic and a Deluxe model for DLC, IMHO, I think they would make more money by a long shot offering both models, I know which one I would buy, I really do enjoy Flight, it has so much potential, but unfortunately I don't enjoy flying outside the cockpit, and IRL I don't think you can, I am disappointed with with the news but I guess patience is the key here, I think MS will eventually offer both models. :Hypnotized: That would be nice......

I hope this is good news and the BEAVER has the pit. Me, I'll boycott the entire add-on until a decent plane is released.

They know how many want a pit. I hope this is a tease..

How do you guys know that "basic"= no cockpit? The way I read it, I understood the "basic" Carbon Cub to be the standard model that is sold by the company. No tundra tires, no fancy equipment with glass, just the basic CCub for simple VFR flying, which is really all you need.

Well all of their previous cockpitless aircraft dlc, were termed "basic" versions.

Yikes! OK. thanks for the clarification. Why can't Microsoft just hire a few more designers/programmers to do those da*n cockpits.

I think its more then fair. Think of it this way. All we have had since release are "basic" aircraft that many of us dont want to fly. If we are going to invest money in an ecosystem (Flight, like iTunes is an ecosystem) that we will be using it. Without good aircraft to fly, why invest in a land DLC?

Yeah, Monday and Wednesday are news days as well.

As far as the tease goes, I think a lot of people are getting frustrated about not knowing what is going on.

Yeah!!!!!!!!!

Another push toy for the kiddies.

Don’t get me wrong, I have no intention of buying anything until an autopilot is in. If I have to pull back from the game for 5 to 10 months for this to happen, I will. I just wish they would tell us so I could just not worry about it till then.

Microsoft is a well-funded company. They can handle developing the game. Eventually I suspect that Flight will far surpass FSX in features. It will just take time.

So your wont buy anything until the computer can fly your aircraft for you? Hahahahaha! Thats kinda like saying "Ill buy a bicycle when it pedals itself!". I dont mean to bust your rump, but I fly to fly. Not to let a computer do it for me. Sure AP's are nice for long flights, but thats what "skip to waypoint" is for.

P.S. MS may be well funded, but they only allot X amount per project. It seems Flight is on a VERY VERY tight budget, or they are not willing to invest in it.

I've got a feeling that just about every single bit of goodwill they generated with the recent improvements just got flushed down the toilet.

Damned right.

There's no place like this place, so this must be the place.

Wow, a non-hysterical response. How refreshing.... I was waiting for someone to post that they were going to set themselves on fire over this announcement.... :Hypnotized:
