Sad sad news about our Carbon Cub

Featured Replies

One step forward (the new update), one step to the right (still no real look into players' wishes), one step to the left (communication is somehow missing between players and the Studio), two steps backward !!!...

I really hope somewhere in my mind that "Basic" stands for what it is, and "warbirds without cockpit" is another category, but sadly, I'm a reasonnable guy...

IF, in another hand, Alaska is free or cheap and I'd just find new cockpits for the planes that don't have one so far, I'm ready to buy A LOT OF THINGS happily :)

There must be other aircraft with cockpits.... they provided Track IR support for only four aircraft?... unless you can use it in out of the cockpit mode

Wow, a non-hysterical response. How refreshing....

The "hysterical" people are that way because they know that Microsoft themselves defined "basic plane" as "no cockpit."

Thats a good point kentoo. Why drop in TrackIR support if there is no cockpits? Something to think about, thats for sure.

So your wont buy anything until the computer can fly your aircraft for you? Hahahahaha! Thats kinda like saying "Ill buy a bicycle when it pedals itself!". I dont mean to bust your rump, but I fly to fly. Not to let a computer do it for me. Sure AP's are nice for long flights, but thats what "skip to waypoint" is for.

P.S. MS may be well funded, but they only allot X amount per project. It seems Flight is on a VERY VERY tight budget, or they are not willing to invest in it.

I prefer the long flights and generally use the heading function of the autopilot as I disable all the flying assists in the options. I like to manually takeoff, approach and land. The skip function kills the immersion for me. I like looking out the windows when enroot. I realize this would be quite boring for some, but I am sure I am not the only person that enjoys it.

As far as the bicycle goes, mine has a 1.6L flat opposed 6 cylinder engine on it. :LMAO: 98 Honda Valkyrie.

This and Age of Empires Online are experiments on a new way to publish content. If you have noticed, most games are going online to combat piracy even if they try to say they are not doing it for that reason. They want people to have to log in to play.

Fool me once, I'm to blame. But fool me 5 time ? That is something to bring people to some "histery".

Let us give the Team the 5 days they need to release the stuff, and see for ourselves then.

When Flight first came out without Track IR support loads of us got together and sent e-mails asking for it as priority. The result? A few months later we have Track IR.

Users with Facebook accounts, let's start asking them very simply and publicly, please explain the plan for cockipts.

Ow god THAT explains a LOT! Your one of those guys that have cruise control on a motorcycle with a seat big enough to be a Lazy Boy.

P.S. Here is MY bicycle.

Well I guess if there is no cockpit in the Cub, I will just have to build a gallows and hang myself ...... im%20Not%20Worthy.gif

I will take the sour grape position on the Carbon Cub... it has a limited range.. Give me the Top Cub with its better avionics and double fuel capacity

They won't. MS has reps on Steam and they say nothing with regards to what's coming up. The question was put directly to one and they response was basically "I can't say.' Problem is that should they spring a cockpit bird on us in the very near future - like a week (can't see it myself), people will simply be relieved and go buy it by the hundreds, and all will be forgotten.

Well, do we know if 'basic' means no cockpit for sure yet, or does 'basic' mean something else? To me, the most basic thing you need to fly an aeroplane is a set of instruments, and let's be honest, you can't really get more basic than a Piper Cub, even with some modern avionics.

I'll be honest, if 'basic' does mean you have to pay more for a cockpit, then adding Track IR support was a clever move, at least from a marketing standpoint; it's a classic bait and switch in fact. It wouldn't make people fall in love with MS, but it would snag them, because if you've stumped up the cash to buy TIR for Flight, you've pretty much then got to justify it with the purchase of something beyond the basic version, if indeed that does turn out to be the case.

Actually it it relevant to buy what suits you, seems to me :)

I only bought one cockpitless warbird but I definitely won't do the same mistake twice.

But I want to believe that "Basic" is not cockpitless too. It did not said "No cockpit view" as it was told for the warbirds ;)
