  1. From my understanding the descent forecast is set especially for correctly calculating the time of arrival, fuel use and TOD. Because of this I normally take the data from ASN and enter them at least 100nm in front of the planned TOD. Several times I have realized that afterwards it had changed position significantly.
  2. Hello together, I upgraded to Win10 this week. Seems to be fine so far. Programms generally are working properly. The next Thing I did was updating my nvidia Driver. Concerning FSX I found out that some settings got lost. The profiles for the Nvidia Inspector vanished but could be restored from the place I had saved them. FSX in general was running properly. I had two issues with PMDG products: 1. When initially loading a PMDG plane (777 or NGX) I was asked for the activation key. After introducing this activation was confirmed and FSX crashed. When loading FSX I was asked to activate the PMDG plane again. A vicious cycle. Kyle Rogers mentioned in a thread to reinstall SimConnect. This worked for the activation. 2. I had some problem with DX10 so I started FSX with DX9 and it worked. In the meantime I managed to have FSX worked with DX10 again. Helpful was to start it not in full screen but in windowed mode. From there full Screen was no problem any more. For me the upgrade has worked with minor and solvable Problems. Hope this will be OK for the weeks coming. Regards Michael
  3. Hello, I found Linda when trying to get my VRI CDU working. Linda did not help but anyway it was a great finding for finetuning my yoke and throttle quadrant. I like it a lot. But suddenly one of my PMDG 737NGX planes is no longer correctly recognized by Linda. In the cases I load the Boeing 737-700 Linda will load the FSX Default Aircraft module instead of PMDG 737NGX. It had worked previously and it still is working with the 737-600 as well as the 737-800. What can I do? Best regards Michael
  4. Hello Guenter, thank you for your quick answer. It does not really make me happy but will save some me some time. Michael
  5. Hello, recently I bought the VRInsight CDU I. UnfortunatelyI could not find the PMDG 737NGX for FSX. I managed to get the CDU running partly, introducing keys and numbers into the CDU in edit mode. The LSKs and function keys on the CDU did not work. I searched the forums for a solution and by the way I found LINDA. I like it a lot dealing with my CH yoke and throttle quadrant. But I could not yet get the CDU coming alive with LINDA. Could it be that LINDA does not support the CDU from VRI although it does support the MCP Combo from VRI? Or can anybody point me to a workaround to adress the CDU keys for Input. The output is already available by the PMDG 737NGX module. In the moment I feel stuck. Best regard and hoping for a solution Michael
  6. I had the same problem after starting cold & dark. I found out that TrackIR in some way interferes with the throttle of engine 1. It works when I start TrackIR after having started the engines. Regards Michael
  7. Doesn't help - as the problem comes from outside the simulation model. My workaround with TrackIR works. ^_^
  8. Sounds like a calibraton problem. After two successful flights I can confirm that the problem I described can be avoided by not acitvating TrackIR in the beginning but after the engines have started running. With a 737-700 I tried whether it would be affected or not. When I started the APU it started but produced neither electricity nor bleed air. I will start TrackIR later and everything seems OK.
  9. Thanks for all the replies! I was not at home for some time so I could not answer earlier. I followed the suggestions concerning crippled panel states. However no effect with the original panel state. Now it seems after trying out some situations I found a solution: Starting FSX without TrackIR5 lets me start the engines and both respond to throttle engagement. It sounds strange but it works. I even was able to start TrackIR after having started the engines. I tried it out at the gate. Hopefully it will work during flight. I thought about the question why I was able to fly with TrackIR sometimes. It seems TrackIR does not interfere with the 737-700 models. The problems occurred with 737-800. Does anybody have an idea of a reason for that behaviour? For a better understanding I attach an Image showing the Overhead panel state. You can see the different pressures of the engine bleed air on the indicator on the right.
  10. Hello, I have a problem that is really infuriating me. After having been able to fly different Versions of PMDG737-800 and -700 for a lot of flights for some reason I do not understand engine one has no throttle after starting the engine. What can I do to be able to fly again? I have installed FSX Acceleration, FSUIPC, FSINN and on a second PC ActiveSky Evolution, TOPCAT and FSCommander 9.3. As hardware I use CH Yoke, Pedals and Quadrant. The latest Installation was TrackIR, but also with this I was able to fly several times. Several hours (!) of flight preparation have already been in vain up to now because when I start the engines no.1 will not work. I have realized that bleed air goes to 0 when I switch it on. Visually the throttle is moved when I move it on the quadrant, but the engine does not respond properly. Best regards Michael
