FSX Deep drilling
Hello, Peter, Günter et al. Being a (very happy) user of your tool would like to make a suggestion that could enhance the simstarter even more. One of the things I like the most is the ability to define different "sceneries" and "configurations" depending the type of flight you are going to perform, letting you save precious resources you need to keep good experience. For example, I have profiles to fly while day and another while night. No need to cast shadows at night.... Or I do not need to enable my massive Charles de Gaulle if I am flying to Orly, but even in this situation, there are several regions in FSX where the "density" of airports makes flying those regions a pain. The idea is to "disable" also those default airports you are not going to use. This implies a deep drill in the default scaneries and I ignore even if that is possible, but wanted to share the idea with you. Thank you for this wonderful tool Regards Jon

Taxi Lights in Aerosoft LFPG
Hi, Steve. Thak you for you promt response. Do not have the manuals here, but Is the issue solved in legacy versions with "balast" light and then solved with another kind of patch? I am an old man and cannot remember the proper names of the matter... Regards

Taxi Lights in Aerosoft LFPG
Have searched for this in the forum, and moved the Legacy bar without results. Sorry if is the nth time this is treated but would like to have a clear idea if the fixer is able to deal with it or not The only difference is a very slight change in the point of view... Thanks in advance Jon

IVAO white MTL. The textures appear during the first instants
No offense, Jim. English is not my mother language and perhaps I also have very thin skin. But the fact is I did try Addon Converter X demo (and run without issues), but I uninstalled it... May be something remained installed and that's why I have this... But the efect does not last "minutes" but seconds, and then they become white, but suddenly, and not degrading little by little. I do not consider this a problem at all, but a hope.... May happen Mr. Steve or other pope find it challenging, or (easier), may happen this is a very specific behaviour an is related to pre-existing Addon Converter. Who nows.. Shadows where turned off time ago, as they do not play well with some AI traffic. Any case, I also apologise if my post has not been polite enough. Like this forum, and like the people who write here, and like most persons who devote their time to let others enjoy, or teach new things for the only pleasure of helping others. Best regards Jon

IVAO white MTL. The textures appear during the first instants
Hi, Jim. I am going to respond all your questions and leave you decide if the info is relevant or not. Happy to see you find it funny. At least, somebody have had a good time reading. ^_^ You stay here and keep reading the posts and you see them all..... LOL! I am not giving advise or teaching anyone what to do. I am merely stating one thing that happens to me when I fly in IVAO network, to let people who is really expert to have the most information they can and avaliate its importance. For me it is not the same thing IVAO traffic not being able to be displayable at all, or being displayable partially or (and this is the fact) being completelly displayable in certain circumstances and then degrading to white 3D models. Do you have the latest Addon_Converter_X installed? No Do you have the highmemfix=1 fix in the Graphics section of your FSX.cfg? Yes What AI program are you using? None. Ai traffic sliders set to 0, The AI traffic is injected only when I fly in IVAO. When I fly disconnected, there is no traffic at all. What was the network? VATSIM? IVAO. The fact is that when I connect to Ivao in one parking position and AI network traffic is injected, I can see the liveries of the planes of the other people playing in IVAO. Only after several seconds those planes become "white" models. So the info I was wishing to share in that those models are correctly displayable in DX10 ant that something happens while (very little) time passes that make them being "partially" displayable as white solid 3D models. Regards Jon

IVAO white MTL. The textures appear during the first instants
Maybe is a nonsense, but maybe not, and give some clues to the people who really knows about graphics issues. Is very well known that one of the "problems" with DX10 is the AI or network traffic not appearing properly. Are the "white" planes. But something annoying has happened to me at least two times. Once connected I saw perfectly the traffic liveries (remember one TAROM taxiing and one VARIG) and only later they become white. I do not understand why this happens, or if this happens when more planes are charged and then one livery is not displayable and provoke all of them changing to white. Make this comment in other thread but has happened again and I give it enough importance to put it in an isolated thread. Regards

DX 10 minor bugs
Did not know Steve keeps working on DX10. It is the best new I could receive. Thought 3.2.2 was the final and the Apex of Steve's work. Where can I follow te evolution of this work, if avaliable? regards

Night textures
Well. Doing my path to a compromise between texture loading and performance, I have found a curious effect that perhaps others, with better Hw, have not noticed. Is the very well now problem of the "white planes", usually observed with the IVAO MTL planes while flying on line. The fact is that in my case, I CAN see the liveries in the very first moment (once the connection is stablished)and wihen those aiplane's textures are charged, and only later, when they change their possition (take this with the convenient escepticism), the liveries become white. This "could" be related with the problem of the night textures, but I have not observed this behaviour in "night problematic airports", because while night, we do not see "black" textures, but grey ones. And those grey could be white at day, but we cannot see them white because the "day" textures are correctly displayed. Just a theory... Regards

Night textures
Still have problems with the textures. They load 1 minute later. I use to fly commecial jets (Airbus), an on arriving, finding blurries, lack of textures on the runway and all the model in black. If I have patiente, all the secenery is charged, but after a nice time. Playing with TBM and FFTF, but not finding a balanced sollution so far. Would you say that the bottleneck in my system is the GPU, or is much more a problem of CPU? Regards
