  1. @TerryT Yes, I think you have the correct one. Driver Packaging Version 14.501.1003-141120a-177998C Catalyst Version 14.12 AMD Catalyst Omega Software Provider Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. 2D Driver Version 8.01.01.1443 Direct3D Version 9.14.10.01080 OpenGL Version 6.14.10.13283 Mantle Driver Version 9.1.10.0045 Mantle API Version 98304 AMD Catalyst Control Center Version 2014.1120.2123.38423 AMD Audio Driver Version 7.12.0.7719
  2. @cvearl I really enjoy your posts! : ) Yes, I still wholeheartedly believe that DX10 is the best way to go...If you have the Steve fix and the couple other fixes applied out there. I don't even have the best processor, being at 3.6GHz (not overclocked) and I get better frames then most without DX10 installed. (All graphic sliders to the right) Air traffic at 80% using My Traffic 2013). DX10 just displaces a lot of the load that normally would be piled onto the the already overworked processor and measly 4 GB of memory. It's just needed if you are into running a ton of add-ons and are thirsty for eye candy. Give the Catalyst a try. It's working for me. I should mention that I do use Crossfire. So results may be different for you if you are not. Computer Specs: Intel Core i7-3820 Sandy Bridge - E / 3.6GHz, Cache Memory 10MB L3 cache, Liquid cooled. Memory is 32GB of RAM. Video card is two 3GB AMD Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 cards. (6GB of video card via Crossfire) Hard drives are 500GB Samsung Pro SSD Main Drive. Also have 2TB HDD hard drive and 500GB HDD, Audio Output Integrated - High Definition 7.1 Channel Audio, 12 in 1 Media Card Reader, USB 3.0, & Win 7 Professional 64-Bit
  3. @Alex155 It's the new AMD Catalyst Omega driver. Info / download page: http://www.amd.com/en-us/innovations/software-technologies/technologies-gaming/catalyst Update: I no longer have tears in the above mentioned area with the new driver. So they did something correct. I do still get those Black squares that will appear and disappear very quickly from time to time. But since using the new driver I have not seen tears. I hope you all get the same results.
  4. I use DX10 and "Steves fix" and I almost never get spikes. But I do get them on the FSX mission "Rocket Launch Air Cover" when near the shoreline in Florida and near KLAX when doing free flight. I'm positive it is directly linked to CPU overload do to excess Autogen. Because this happens at the shoreline in both cases, I', guessing the high water settings are helping to max CPU. I have all my graphic settings at max and run at a constant 30 FPS. (Locked) setting. Now I don't get them as bad in the above areas with the new "Omega" Driver for my 2 Sapphire 7950's. I hope the new driver helps some of you. I have a pretty decent system and I get them too. No one is immune if they want all sliders to the right. Computer Specs: Intel Core i7-3820 Sandy Bridge - E / 3.6GHz, Cache Memory 10MB L3 cache, Liquid cooled. Memory is 32GB of RAM, Video cards are 2 x 3GB AMD Radeon/Saphire HD 7950, Hard drives are 512GB Samsung Pro SSD Main Drive and a 60GB back up SSD. Also have 2 x 2TB HDD hard drive and 500GB HDD
  5. I use an 3GB AMD Radeon HD7950. So I hope you will check if it is the GPU. I would like to be able to use the update. This is very disappointing.
  6. I always check my SPAM folder. Didn't get your reply. Not sure why. I tried doing a brand new config. Same exact thing happens. Program works fine with the original install. After I install 2.2 it no longer works. Why it stops working once the update is installed is beyond me. At this point have tried everything. There is something in this 2.2 update that my system does not like. By any chance did you create the 2.2 to only work from C drive? The 1.1 works fine from my alternate drive. Just trying to help you help me at this point. I can send you an alternate E-mail address if that will help us communicate better. Thanks so much for the help.
  7. Can you check your spam folder please? I have resent the letter several times now, with no response. I used the "Subject" you asked for in the E-mails. I need help. I have tried this 2.2 install again several more times. Being really careful to follow your directions and the install directions. With no success. What I do not understand is that the program works perfectly until I install 2.2. Once I do install 2.2, the installer says successful and complete. I can tell right away that the FSX is loading the flight sim really slow. Once it finally loads and I am in the plane, the weather Radar is not clickable to open the control panels. It acts as if it is no longer installed.
  8. I will resend. My UAC is disabled. I have ran it as Admin. Really is odd. I will send off the E-mail again. Thanks.
  9. I sent the E-mail and have not heard back from you yet. Did you get my E-mail?
  10. I guess I will ask some questions. Was I suppose to just run the new installer and then everything should work? Are there more steps I may be missing? Was I suppose to Save the J41 Configuration Manager Again? I am really lost. I run the 2.2 installer startup FSX and the J41 and the program seems to be gone. As when I click the weather radar the nothing happens. Yes, batteries are on in aircraft and yes the lines are in the Panel.cfg. I sure hope you have a suggestion. I have tried this 2.2 install several times with no luck. Every time, I have had to uninstall the whole program and go back to square one. Where I will install the original program and it will run great. Once I run the 2.2 installer. It seems the program is gone. Is it maybe that it is not DX10 compatible? Seems that would be odd..since the original one works fine. I have no idea what is wrong. I am using Windows 7. Computer specs: Intel Core i7-3820 Sandy Bridge - E / 3.6GHz, Cache Memory 10MB L3 cache, Liquid cooled. Memory is 16GB of RAM, Video card is a 3GB AMD Radeon HD 7950, Hard drives are 500GB SSD Main Drive and a 60GB backup SSD for main system ops. Also have 2TB HDD hard drive and 500GB HDD
  11. The whole program. It acts as if it is not installed. I try to click the weather radar to to open the controls. But nothing happens when I click there.
  12. Hello, I was able to install the old version with no problems. After I run the 2.2 update the Voice FS2Crew No longer works. I made sure the batteries were on in the aircraft. I made sure I ran the config for the J41 again and looked at the Config, everything is where it should be. I even ran the update 2.2 as administrator. Still cannot get this to work. Am I missing something here? Any suggestions? This is really frustrating.
