  1. The FMS does work, however, you need to manually install the glassga.ttf font. That should fix that issue
  2. I *will* not buy X-Plane. I *will* not buy X-Plane. I *will* not buy X-Plane. I *will* not buy X-Plane. I *will* not buy X-Plane. I *will* buy X-Plane. Dang it... Seriously, though, I foresee a massive pain in the wallet if this aircraft is as good as it promises to be...
  3. To the PMDG crew: what are the chances of an update for Split Scimitars and the LED landing/taxi lights? The Split Scimitars have become so common that NOT having them is unrealistic. Even if they're purely visual, I believe that the majority of NGX customers would rather have split scimitars without adding the performance updates than not have split scimitars. Maybe add the contact points for the tips (those crosswind limits, tho). Also, so many of the NG aircraft (LN #5555 and up) are equipped with the redesigned LTRTL (LED Landing, Taxi and Runway Turnoff Lights) that I believe many users would appreciate this update as well. I know that TDS has updated their external model with these, so it's doable. I do understand that it would also require a VC update (two vs four landing light switches, as the retractable landing lights have been removed. The nose taxi light has also been removed, replaced by the wing landing lights at 50% power). An airliners.net topic with some technical details, photos, and a few NG pilots is located at: http://www.airliners.net/aviation-forums/tech_ops/read.main/364609/ GolfCharlie232 (Live From The Flight Deck) also has a picture of the Landing light switches in the cockpit on his Facebook page as well as his Flickr. Thank you! I look forward to the chance to fly with some knife-like winglets.
  4. Another theory would be your WX program. Are you using FSInn? Send a screenshot of your EICAS, especially showing the TAT or OAT.
  5. It gets installed with the DirectX. It does give you the option to not install it.
  6. The Perf Init Uplink doesn't take the data from PFPX, it takes it from the current loads in the "FS Actions">"Fuel" and "Payload" menus. So you still have to insert those values before you use the PERFINIT Uplink. Good luck!
  7. YOu may want to contact Houston Space center if you are at FL34000, that's 3,400,000 feet. That is barely within the atmosphere... Poor GE90s...
  8. Brian, strangely enough, the same thing happened to me before before SP1. I had to go missed @ KSEA while doing an autoland, and the sim locked up.... Weird. Jakob Ludwig
  9. I think this was 'revenge' on MAS for their lack of answers regarding MH370
  10. At 80-100kts, the autothrottle goes into HOLD mode, at which point you have control of the throttle (In case something moves in front of you and you need an instant increase or reduction in thrust). In the real airplane, this doesn't affect anything as the throttles are always 'synced'. The problem comes from the simulator perceiving this as the autothrottle turning off, and hence allows the physical throttle to override the current setting.
  11. Actually, the -300's are the same length as the -700's. The only difference is the wing and engines (larger wing and stronger engines on the -700)
  12. See Froogle's video here. He explains how to and the various means necessary (Wideserver, WideFS, SimConnect, etc)
  13. First, your previous post did not fail to post, I received an email about it. Secondly, at least part of that video was edited (EFB Panels, Cameras). Lastly, he is most likely using EZDOK to move around. And no, EZDOK is NOT FREE.
